  2. For Sale: 2012 Demarini CF5, bought in September of 2012, hit very little. 33/23 $150.00 PM me if interested.
  3. Coalfield lost several key seniors to college from last year, but they have several young kids that will step right in and keep the Lady Yellow Jackets going. Don't be suprised if they show up in the "Boro" again this year.
  4. Congratulations to Coalfield's Andrea Foster for becoming the newest Rail Splitter at LMU...Way to go Number 2 !!!!
  5. Really Sticks...Lindsey is batting almost .400 with (8) homeruns and (32) RBI's I don't know what kid you have been watching but come on. Most pitchers in Division-I don't bat once they get to college. You have the extreme few but that's it. She bats in high school because her team needs her to. Like Trailhead said, she got a full ride to Marshall to pitch and that's what this topic is about.
  6. Here's another interesting fact about this record...Megan pitched her entire career from 40ft and Lindsey has had to go from 43ft for part of her career. So now we might be back to apples and oranges again at least for part of it.
  7. Yes District 4A is a weak district and I understand what a lot of you all are saying, but look at Coalfiled's schedule and you will find that's not the only games they has played over the years. Just this year alone they have played 16 games with AAA teams and 7 games with AA teams. If you going to call teames like Seymour and Unicoi Co weak then you'll probably make several other people mad. This is all opinion anyway, the numbers speak for themselves.
  8. Meganin4years...Open your eyes and see the whole picture. Megan did a great job with the record she set in 4 years but she also played A LOT more games than Lindsey did in her career. Lindsey was just able to take adavntage of the 5 years because she plays for a K-12 school. Lindsey accompolished her record in 959 total innings of play. Not sure how many innings Megan pitched for certain, but David Lipscomb played a heck of a lot games per year than Coalfield ever thought of. Put an asterick if you want, Lindsey still broke the record and most likely in less innings.
  9. Lindsey Fadnek of Coalfield broke Megan Rhodes state record of 1807 tonight with 14 K's in a district semifinal game against Oliver Springs. Lindsey ended the game at 1813 K's and counting. Congratulations Lindsey !!!
  10. In a district tournament game tonight vs Wartburg, Fadnek got (13) more k's in a five inning "Perfect Game". This puts her strike out total at 1799. She will go after the record tomorrow night of 1807 at 5pm against the winner of Oneida vs Oliver Springs. More tomorrow night !!!
  11. OK MWTFan, Fadnek is sitting at 1786 K's as of today. She needs 22 K's to break the record of 1807 set by Megan Rhodes of David Lipscomb. The district tournament started yesterday but Coalfield got a bye for being the No.1 seed. They will play Wartburg today at 5:00 if things go well Lindsey should have the opportunity to break the record in tomorrow nights game. More to follow after the game tonight.
  12. The Beech vs Coalfield game has been cancelled due to the death of a former Coalfield student and very close friend. Brady Walls went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning April 29 2012. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday from 4-8pm and burial will take place on Friday. Good Luck to both teams the rest of the season !!!
  13. How about the rest of the scores for the tournament ? Lets see them !!!
  14. Congratulations to Coalfield's Lindsey Fadnek. She notched her 100th career win this past weekend in the Rockwood Tournament with a 2-0 win over Rhea Co.
  15. Coalfield is looking for a scrimmage at home for today (3-06-12) or Saturday (3-10-12) if interested call Coach Laurendine at 865-850-8523
  16. THE END !!! 65 pages of talk from all of us armchair football players about this game, Oh What Fun !!! Good Luck to all, Have a safe trip up here to Coalfield tonight.
  17. CHICKENDAVE, We hope it's a good game as well. After the incident on friday night we had some young, but very talented kids step in and step up in a big way. They caught alot of us off guard with the way they responded giving the circumstances at hand. Yes we have lost some great players, but I believe we filled the holes with great players too. Looking forward to a really good game on Friday one I believe you will talk about all the way up here and back.
  18. Pearl and D60, I was there also and witnessed the entire event. In my opinion the LV QB got tired of being drove into the ground in his own backfield and was taking his frustration out. The only problem is he took it out on the wrong guys. He should have been on his linemen for allowing it to happen in the 1st place. A week earlier I was at the Sunbright vs LV game and as soon as that game was over the Trash Talking started about how Coalfield was going down next in so many words( I gave the nice version ), So it seems there was some tension from the start.
  19. Ambassador, No one knows who's out or who's in for Coalfield on Friday night and probably won't know until Friday night at game time. It's all a BIG mystery !!!
  20. Roy, The Henry man isn't charging anything, it's TSSAA that gets the playoff money and it's eight dollars just like everywhere else this friday night from what I understand. plenty of hot choclate to go around for everyone.
  21. Sportman, On the north side of Harriman, about two miles Hwy-27 and Hwy-61 split. Take Hwy-27 north. Make sure you are in the left lane. From the split go 1.7 miles and turn right onto Coalhill Rd. It will be the first road to the right after you cross the Roane/Morgan Co line. It's a couple of hundred yards past the county line. If you cross two small bridges you've gone too far. Coalhill is right before the second bridge.
  22. Roy, I guess you think a young man playing football is supposed to just stand there and let someone hit him in the mouth and take it. You also can't tell me that if the shoes were on your feet that you would just stand there and take it too. Yes it was very unfortunate that the fight happened but sometimes there is no other way out. You can only push someone so far before it has to stop. If you've seen the video you will understand. Either way we have to live with the outcome and play ball. Good Luck to you on Friday night. !!!
  23. Hey 12thmanGCA, Lets look at this situation for a minute. South Pitt and Coalfield will be playing in what is building to be a very big game this Friday night, and where is GCA ? AT HOME !!! South Pitt folks, we look forward to the show down this week which should be a very good game. make your way on up Hwy 27 and turn right on Coalhill road and you run right into the school. Coalhill is a small road, but our school buses run up and down it every day. It's 5.2 miles once you make the turn to the school. We have accomodated several hundred visitors at our place on many numerous Friday nights so pile in your buses, cars, trucks or what ever your making the trip in and come experience HS Football at it's best. We have a Great football tradition around here where everything shuts down on a Friday night and the entire community comes together under the lights. Good Luck to you and we look forward to a GREAT Game. GO JACKETS !!!!
