Completely agree. Dresden is a very good team. Your statement just did not make sense. Both games went to OT but GC won both Just don't understand your dislike for GC. Seem to be pulling against them. But most of the district 14a seems too. In my opinion Middleton is no doubt favorites and team to beat until someone takes them down

You do realize GC best Dresden @ Dresden earlier this year right?

Not saying you are wrong. But from what I have seen GC beat Liberty by 30+ twice this year and handle Haywood pretty easy early. I'm not saying Dresden is better than the two but definitely right on par with them at least

What are the thoughts on this one. I don't think GC will overlook riverside this year like I feel they somewhat did last year. Riverside better or worse than last year?

Was definitely one of the better games in the last few years. Not sure either team ever had more than a 5 point lead. Big shot after big shot from both teams. Both coaches made adjustments. Just an all around good game.

GC should play better. But I think you're looking a little to far into it. Playing a team that you have beaten 7 times in last 2 years as a close rival and a good team with a star will never be easy. I think you will see a different team Wednesday. If fields will play like she did in second half watch out. I'm still calling GC by 10.

I could see union city beating Bradford. Unless Bradford shoots the ball the way they did against GC the last game of the regular season. Then they are going to be tough for anyone.

Should be a good tourney. Greenfields coach imo in the coach of the year in district.

Looks like the surprise is going to be greenfield finishing second in the district unless south Fulton beats them in the final game. GCs last game is the one I considered the most difficult of the year at Bradford. But they have not quite been as expected this year. The 2-6 teams are all very close. Should be a fun tourney.

I'll agree. Refs missed a few. 7 fouls on GC in the 1st 3 minutes of third quarter is what was crazy. And Wilkins got a phantom technical in there from the old guy as well. But it evened up as game went on.

Did turn out to be an easy win. GC jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never looked back. Kept pipkin in check for 3 quarters. She had 27( 16 in the 4th when game was basically over). But I disagree about Chester not being an above average team. They have been playing some good ball lately. They are not great. But they are solid. This looked like the GC team that could make a run

Well I'm not going to disagree but when you look at some of the teams they have beat it's hard to argue. They have played a pretty tough schedule early and came out unbeaten. Kinda in cruise control now and that is worrisome. We will see tomorrow if they can pick it up. Side note. In a few years greenfield will be very tough.

Didn't happen tonight. GC wins 42-27. And honestly GC played much better than that. Just couldn't make a shot at all. Open shots. Defense was suffocating tonight.

Completely agree. I said the same thing. We will lose at Chester co Saturday is my call. Hopefully it is what it takes to get them going. Or maybe they turn it up then and beat a solid team on the road.

Worried a little about that as well. If they don't turn it up a little here in the last few weeks it could definitely be a problem.

I don't think there is any doubt GC is far and way best in the district. They have played a few close games. Only once has it come down to the last few possessions and that was Thursday against Trenton when they hit a 3 with about 3 seconds left to make it a 3 point game. Closest game we have played and Trenton plays us as good as anyone. But they have lost some games I don't understand. This week will decide a lot as GC goes to UC and Greenfield. Can pretty much clinch first if it's not already clinched. I see them turning it to another level come tournament time. 1. Gibson County 2. Bradford 3. Peabody 4. Union City. I'm gonna disagree on toughest district in the state as well. I could easily see GC being the only team to get out of first round of the region. But I also wouldn't be surprised for all four to win. Just too inconsistent to be considered the best.

They are defending champs and won like 52 games in a row. Pretty sure they deserve the #1 spot u til someone takes it from them

You can what you want about the west but they have back to back championships and 2 teams that look to have a run in them again this year. Both Middleton and Gibson have faced some tough teams and scheduled a little tougher than normal this year are both are still unbeaten.
