Loved the way the girls came out and put them away in second half. Hopefully it will be a jump start to the rest of the year

I agree. They are the only teams that' we've played all year that are at all comparable to union city in size and athleticism. They are not near as good. But it put us up against that physical style of play that should help us out some.

I think everyone is forgetting about gibson county based off of one game. These girls can play and will have something to say about all of this.

What your thought on the gibson co vs Scott's hill game? I really feel like we won't have as much trouble with them as we did with Haywood and liberty.

Loretto just got beat by Scott's hill at gibson co Christmas tourney. Was really hoping they would be a team gc would play in championship for a good game. Was not really that impressed

Gc we played as sloppy as I've seen us play all year. Idk what was going on. The game was never really in doubt but we didn't look good at all. What you think?

What are y'all's thoughts on this one? I don't know much about any of the teams and if they will give gc some competition. I know liberty, bolivar, loretto, Haywood, Crockett, team from Mississippi and heritage is in it.

Might as well hand them the gold ball now..... The team I saw Tuesday has a lot of work to do before they will win a gold ball. They are better than gc but they have NO offense and there size will not cause that much of a problem for everyone.

They will not miss shots like they did last night. You can keep thinking that. But the offense worked pretty good for most of game. We just could not make OPEN shots we have made all year. I am very confident it will be a much different story next time around. Do you agree on the shots we have made al year gc pioneer?

Gc will not shoot 18% many time. Missed OPEN shots all night. Freshman and sophomores played a little scared. Uc us the better team but not near as much as the score showed tonight.

Both gc big girls get foul trouble early

Just meant that union city has played in more big games recently than us. I hope I'm wrong

I'm going to go 44-36 union city. I'm really worried our girls will be shell shocked. No one on this team has played in a game of this magnitude and I fear they will struggle. But it will help down the road

HUGE game tomorrow night for the west end of the state between uc and gc. Everyone expecting union city to handle them but I believe gc has a chance. The youngsters for gc are improving every game and if Smithson can start providing some offense to go with her defense off the bench like she did @ westview it will be huge.

I'm going into this game just hoping to be competitive. All everyone has talked about is union city and a state championship. And that is something that sounds very possible. There is not near as much buzz about gc but they keep handling business and doin what they are suppose to do. Just win. If we can go in and be competitive I will feel much better about having a chance to make it to the glass house. I really can't decide just how good we are yet. But if the young ones keep improving the sky is the limit for this program

Not gc but 49-43 gibson county. It was a really ugly game for us. Struggle to get anything going in first half and Lannom got in foul trouble. The freshman #21 came in and provided a spark and led the team in scoring at the half. Then gutted it out in the end. Rechis was lights out in first half. Had 19 I believe. Interested in what gc has to say about it as well as westview fans.

You making the trip to Martin tonight gc pioneer? I think having greenfield and westview right before union city will help us out a lot

I have not seen union city play at all. But everyone one I have talked to from uc seem very confident they won't have any trouble with us. What are the greenfield fans opinion on this?

I completely agree. There were a few blatantly obvious calls that were some of the quest I've ever seen. But as you noted I was not at all expecting us to play that well. It really was not as close as the final score. Very impressed. I believe we have a really really good coach. Looking forward to westview tomorrow night.

Games like Tuesday are not really helping us at all right now. It was 26-2 after 1st and we pulled the press off and fell back into a zone and ran motion offense. I guess the one positive of these games so far is getting subs more minutes. The freshman Smithson played a bunch and ran point for nearly the entire second half. Had a few turnovers but you can tell he is really hoping to get a lot out if her off the bench. She could be the key come postseason time if she can come in off bench and play defense like she has all year and add handling the ball and making shots like she did Tuesday.

Looking forward to seeing a competitive game in dyer tomorrow night. From what I've heard greenfield will be a tough win and out girls will have to play there best to beat them. It worries me that we really have not been tested yet. What y'all think about this one?
