Anybody that was at the game want to give a summary. How did both teams look??

Looking forward to gc playing these two. Really need to play some competitive games to get ready for postseason. Beat halls tonight 58-20. It was 28-2 after first qtr.

Lake county boys are very athletic. I did not realize they were that young. They can shoot it very well. The press have them some easy points. I would definately not say it was a comfortable win though. The majority of the game was played within 5-6 points. A few times they broke it to 10 but our boys would fight back. Yea the tall post rolled his ankle pretty bad. He looked to be in a lot of pain. Hope he has a quick recovery hate to see injuries like that

I was there. Wasn't that close. Gc pulled out to 20 pt lead early in the 2nd qtr and really coasted. It's was a 26-28 pt game end of 3rd. The 5 starters for gc scored 15, 15, 14, 14 & 9. Lake county had one girls that could fill it up and scored all night. She's tough. They are a scrappy team. I'm interested to see what bigster has to say as well.

I completely agree that union city is the most talented team in the west this year. All I'm saying is other teams especially gibson county are not going to just lay down. I really look forward to some really good games between the two as I feel our coach will have the girls ready. The competition will only help both teams get ready for the postseason.

So you think they will be the other team to make it to state but don't have a chance against union city? Anybody that has potential to make it to state get hot and beat anyone. Not trying to start argument at all just pointing out the fact that you said slowing it down and packing it in wouldn't work cause y'all shoot the 3 better and pressing and running wouldn't work cause y'all run better.

You make it sound as though gibson has no chance unless union city just plays horrible. Gibson has a solid team and continue to improve and I feel can play with union city. Union city definately has a deeper talented team but gibson is a hard nosed team that will give them all they can handle

I think gibson and uc will have a lot to say about that

Was at the south fulton game tonight. It really could have been as bad as they wanted it. It was nice to see us come out not really hitting any jump shots and fight through it. I know both freshman got a lot of playing time tonight as he is really trying to get them into rythym before the stretch. The post justyce I believe had 12-14 points and several rebound and the other freshman Allie amithson looks to be back completely from the injury. She will straight get after it on defense and showed some scoring ability as well. GcPioneer the young talent on this team gives a lot to be excited about

I feel like gibson should have a good chance at making a run this year. Especially if the young players continue to improve like they have been. They will definately have some rough spots but I think will be a legit 2nd representative of the west behind uc in the postseason. They have a few girls that can fill it up on any night. GcPioneer what do you think about the 2 freshman so far? I know the injured one is just now getting back into rotation.

Good deal. From what I hear What Smithson will really bring to the table is a lot if help with the press and defensive pressure more than scoring

Did you go to the game? I heard that the refs kinda let OC back into late with some questionable calls. Something like they went 15-16 on free throw in the fourth quarter alone. Also what do you think of the team. I really thing Erin Lannom and Brianna fields will have breakout seasons. The freshman justice white and Allie Smithson have a ton of potential as well. I think Allie is hurt right now or something. Hopefully will be back soon

Will this be a good measuring stick for the lady pioneers tonight? Haven't really followed much going into the year. I know gc lost there point guard and are having to make some adjustments.

I agree on Scott's hill. We are playing MUCH better football now. The great thing to think about is we only lose 2-3 players that really contribute. Next Year may be finally the year gc can really compete. This offense seems to fit this group of guys perfect like you said. They are just getting physical and running right at you instead of the spread earlier in the year. And the defense may have improved more than the offense. The quality of the coaching staff is really starting to show I believe.

Man you missed a good one.. It's a completely different football team than earlier in the year. South fulton took the early lead and our guys never quit. They are adding new wrinkles to the offense and gettin better each week. We were pushing 500 yards of offense with nearly 200 passing with a guy that wasn't even second string to start the year. And our fullback is still out after looking great when he was moved there against fulton co. It's exciting to see the improvement

Both teams are having rough years so far. But it's has been greatly improved football being played by my pioneers. It's amazing how much better they have gotten as the year has gone on. That being said I'm not sure what to expect from greenfield. So what's the opinions on this one?

Seeing the look on the kids and coaches faces on that field was a sight tonight. The emotion they showed on that field was priceless. Nothing is better. They have worked very hard for that moment. They deserve it. Very proud

How ya feelin about the game tonight? I really think we can pull this one out. Trying not to get my hopes up to high.

Hoping for a good turnout. With this being gibson county's homecoming it would be an awesome opportunity to break the skid. The boys are working their tales off and I really feel like this will be the week they get the monkey off their back.

I agree. Overlooking gibson could be a mistake. They return a lot of talent and have a few freshman that will contribute. They could give union city a fight

You were more more than just quoting someone. You added an insult to it that was not called for. Fact us the program is inch better hands now than they were. Still cleaning up messes from previous staffs.

You're as low as it gets.. The worst the program has ever been was with a certain coaching staff that you should know. If you got what you deserved you would never step foot on a football field again. A coaching staff that kept dogs in the locker room and was worried more about partying after the game than they were the kids. You are on here bad mouthing high school kids. Get a life. The coaches they have now are doing everything they know and are pouring there hearts into these KIDS it is just taking a while to get the boys to believe they can. I promise you one thing the program is in MUCH better hands than they were previously. So how about you get lost and worry bout yourself. I know for a fact these coaches spend every spare minute they have trying to figure out how to make the turn. Hopefully this week they can get that monkey off their back.

im not sure at which pace westview is better, but i will say they were beat by about 7 or 8 when slwoing it down against gc and beat by 20 when it was up and down in the two championship games they have played so far... i see this being a very tight game from start to finish
