GC by 15 over Peabody. Just don’t see Peabody being able to score against the next level defense GC has been playing the last few games. And GC has handled the press pretty easily the first 2 games. Greenfield by 5 over TCA. I think Greenfield has the best 2 players on the floor. That’s my opinion. But TCA has much more depth and size. It comes down to Macey Lee vs Tess Darby I think. Can either one get the other in foul trouble? You know they will be going at each other all night

Sheesh, I don’t think he meant anything negative towards Peabody or Hill. He started it off complimenting both. Peabdoy definitley got a good win last night. Most would call it a small upset. That’s not a bad thing. It was on the road against a good team. Now they will get another chance against GC. GC pretty much co trolled both games in regular season. You can say that it was a 6 point game in the third quarter of both but that was also the closest the game ever was. Both games were pretty much double digit leads all game long. That doesn’t mean Peabody can’t beat GC. But GC has taken it to another level at every position. It’s gonna be tough

I don’t think anyone said GC would be there. Just said that TCA would be tough for greenfield in the semis if they get by Dresden. Peabody and Gleason both are capable of giving GC a game. But if GC plays like they did last night they will be tough for anyone to beat

GC pretty much controlled the entire game tonight. Don’t exactly remember the final score but TCA made a little run late to make it a little closer. Thing the largest lead was 19. GC defense tonight was elite. Think TCA scored as many in the 4th once the game was over as they did the rest of the game. Looks like GC is peaking at the right time. Greenfield definitely will be in for a dog fight in region semis with TCA. Really good team

I think people saying whoever is opposite greenfield should be happy is getting ahead of there selves. First off GC beat greenfield and beat Peabody worse than greenfield did both times. Why would they rather play GC? But I will agree that the winner of 14a has the easiest path.

I think people are blowing this way out of proportion. The teams that played at UTM last night started this conversation by saying it was obvious the teams were having trouble adjusting to the bigger open layout of the gym. Which very obviously means that district 13 being able to play the first rich tourney there is an advantage to them over district 14. There is really no arguing that point and to anyone saying that GC couldn’t handle the crowd that would come obviously doesn’t know what they are talking about. That gym has hosted double A tournaments with schools way bigger than these for years There is a reason Westview built a gym modeled after GC It can accommodate a lot more than any other single a schools around

Agree with you all. That was my point really. The gold ball is the most important. Ms Basketball doesn’t always do a good job of acknowledging the best players. Tess Darby not being a finalist this year is an example imo

Don’t know if I agree with this statement. If Moore is better this year then she’s more than likely going to be a little better next year. To say she should win it this year and Darby next almost makes it sound like there are a lot of politics to these awards. Hmmmmmm... btw... the politics statement is not directed at you greenfieldfan!

Haven’t seen her play so don’t want to take one side or the other. But an offer to a freshman is based on potential not the current player. She can have the most potential but I have a hard time believing she is currently better the Moore from greenfield. If she is she will win 4 miss basketballs

I’m really curious as to why you keep pushing this idea lol. You are the only one it seems that acts like greenfield doesn’t deserve to be right up there with them. They are the champs and until someone knocks them off they have to be right there.

Great game. TCA will be a handful for anyone they play. Their size a problem for anyone. GC was able to get a lead in the 4th again like they did at GC but this time they closed it out. The technical foul was ridiculous. You can’t make that call. 4 pt swing.

I agree GC is deep but now is the time to start shortening the rotation imo. Depth is an asset for sure but tourney time is when you shorten your bench and use your depth in certain spots

It’s not taking anything away from TCA at all. But people that have seen GC play all year know that when they got the lead in the 2nd half against TCA they started taking the air out of the ball. And it came back to bite them. They normally want to play fast and had opportunities and didn’t. We will see if they learned their lesson

First off anyone can be beat on any night. But I feel that Greenfield and GC are a level above everyone else when you look at the compete resume up to this point. With TCA, Peabody, Gleason and Dresden right behind. Any of theses 4 teams could beat GC or Grenfield. We will see who rises to the top but I will be surprised if it’s not GC and greenfield headed to the Murphy Center in a few weeks

I would agree. TCA is a better team than Peabody. I still see GC as the favorite to win the district. TCA got them once. Don’t see it happening again.

I would say we have played pretty solid since the TCA loss. Controlled Peabody the entire game for a 20 pt win. We have as good a coach as anyone around. He will have a plan and have the girls ready come tourney time.

You are exactly right. I haven’t seen a team this year that would have really competed with any of those 3 teams. They were all on another level.

Westview won’t play y’all because of Chloe and Tess? That’s a serious question as i haven’t heard that. But total agree on hoping to see greenfield in the region finals. Would be a great atmosphere and I feel like both teams have potential to win it all

Exactly. Not arguing that. All I was pointing out is that GC has played a tough of a schedule as anyone. Nobody called out greenfield whenever GC beat westview twice for not playing Westview. Just didn’t understand why you felt like you needed to call GC our for not playing Crockett?

Wow. Honestly can’t believe anyone could have the opinion that GC is scared to play anyone... That’s just plain wrong. You realize westview beat Crockett and GC has beat them twice? Beat South Side. Played all of the top single A teams in a he area. We can go on and on there. And to call out GC saying that either team would have beat GC is not needed. I can guarantee you one thing. Neither team would score close to 80 points against GC

GC looked much better last night. Controlling Peabody from the tip for a 22 pt win. Looks like maybe TCA woke them up a little. Won’t be tested again for a few weeks now.
