I haven’t seen that but it’s hard to believe there are 18 single A teams that have played a harder schedule that GC.

TCA absolutely had soenthing to do with the way GC played. It’s just my opinion that GC has played better defenses and won games. Didn’t happen Friday night and credit to TCA. They should definitely feel like they can beat anyone cause beating GC at home is a big deal I would say. Like I said earlier. May be best thing that could happen to them. And wouldn’t say GC is going the wrong way. Bad games happen. Let’s see what happens against Peabody before we jump to conclusions and placing blames. What this proves is nobody around here in single is good enough to just roll the ball out and walk to state. Gonna have to play your best to win.

TCA has a good team and made GC uncomfortable the other night. I think the problem was GC got a lead in the second half and just put in on cruise control and to there credit TCA never quit and came back and won. With that said. Was by far the worst game I’ve seen GC play this year and it still took overtime for TCA to beat them. Let’s see how they respond against Peabody Tuesday night. But there is a reason GC has only lost twice against the tough schedule they have played. IMO they were better off losing that game playing poorly than winning it.

GC finally gets to see where they are with The other 2 contenders in the district starting Friday when they play TCA and then Trenton next Tuesday. Will be able to get a feel for how the district will shape up after these two as I don’t see any of the other teams beating these 3.

I guess so. Because I didn’t see any “flopping” going on by GC Saturday night. And highly doubt it is being coached or encouraged in practice. The fouls were a little one sided but it was two teams with completely different offensive game plans. Good luck to Westview the rest of the way.

On the free throw it looked more like to me the GC player tripped. I noticed the official standing right there making that motion to the coach as well. And if you are talking about the charge on Johnson from westview that was a textbook charge call imo. She clearly lowered the should into the defender while making her move. Were there a couple plays called a charge that the defenses sold contact probably so. But you get that call when you are in good position. You don’t get the call if you are not in position.

You can accuse GC of some things but slapping and flopping is not one of them. One of the most disciplined hard nosed defenses you will see. Again, Fouls aren’t suppose to be even every game. Westview lived and died by the 3 while GC attacked all game long. Would definitely disagree and I was there watching the same game you were.

Refs definitely didn’t cost them the game. It was pretty clear GC was attacking the basket all night while Westviews offense is pretty much shooting jump shots and very aggressive defense. Also thought it looked like Westview got tired late and GC kept coming. That’s where the depth they have comes in to play. Great game I thought.

Would agree that it was much better after my post. Was out of control early with south side coach all over the refs and Coach Wilkins got the phantom technical. Settled in after that. Good win for GC as SS is a very difficult matchup for them. They showed there depth tonight. Ball took over early and basss came in and knocked down some big 3s. Played majority of game without starting pg due to foul trouble. This team is tough.

Refs are out of control early in the GC South Side game. Wilkins got t’d up early and lost his mind wanting to know what he did. Knowbory knows what happened. South side definitely getting the whistle from the refs two nights ina. Row

Heard coach Wilkins say tonight that out of the 11 games they have played that 8 different girls have led GC in scoring. Pretty impressive stuff imo. This tea is getting better by the game it seems.

GC beats Westview 52-28. Was never close. Impressive win.

Our defense played well enough to win. But the defense Fairley had was impressive. Disciplined. They can play. 7 was everywhere. Them and UC will be a good one.

And just threw an interception in the end zone.

No doubts. Worst game we played all year. TCA dominated. Never denied. All I said that is that a 12 point game starting the 4th is not a blowout.

And take away that one big screen play and it’s a 2 score game.... not really a good argument. And a call that a lot of times is blown dead when the tca player took the ball away in the pile up ( not saying is was a right or wrong call). TCA won. And controlled the game.

I wouldnt call the TCA game a blowout.... they won and controlled the game. But not a blowout.

Sounds a lot like the predictions before the GC/Peabody game.......

Let’s hear some discussion on this one. Don’t know much about Fairley at all. Expect them to be FAST. GC looked like the team from the first part of the season at McKenzie. Also, Where will this game be played? Not familiar with where Fairley plays home games.

Hats off to TCA. Beat GC pretty much everywhere tonight. I’m not sure where the GC team from earlier in the year has gone. #7 is about as fast of a high school kid you will see. He made some kids that have a lot of speed for GC look slow tonight. TCA linebackers controlled the game. Afraid the offensive struggles for GC all year are starting to catch up to the defense. 2 weeks to prepare for a winner take all playoff spot.

First off.... I posted on the thread that UC just straight up beat GC. They were the better team that night. Been a busy week. Didn’t want all the Peabody people gettin bent out of shape cause I was one of those that disappeared when GC lost. Not sure what to expect in this one. I think GC defense will be ready as they matchup better with the spread offense. I’m gonna say GC wins 28-22

UC has some very good players back playing that didn’t play against Trenton I believe. So it’s a different team. Trenton wouldn’t come close to beating the UC team from last night 56-14. They may still beat the. But it wouldn’t be by that much. To say that the only reason that Peabody lost was cause they didn’t play good is wrong imo. GC has a good team. Capable of beating a lot of teams. Last night we got beat. All there is to it.

Hats off to UC. Came out and won the game. GC couldn’t seem to get out of there own way. Seemed every big play had a penalty to call it back. The long touchdown called back was a back breaker. The FB for UC was as impressive of a player as you will see. Kid runs hard and never stops. Good luck the rest of the way. We will see how our defense responds next week. As for gettin on the GC coaches. They have gotten this program to a place it hasn’t been in a long long time. We are 6-2 and just got beat by a good football team. I’m not sure bashing the coaches is the thing to do.

Sounds like to me UC is getting back it’s starting qb. Good for them. Hopefully GC will be ready for him. Our D line needs to hit him early and welcome him back.
