  1. I hope you go all the way! I am just a fan of a great game. Greg has always been a class act! As have you ma'am. We will all look back on these days and smile, one day. I wish I had a child that played. But, I have not been that blessed. But, I have been blessed in learning to play, and teach the game all my life. See you on the pitch.
  2. Great post! Great defense! Alas, this is not college, nor pro, nor Premiership soccer. The arrogance, and showmanship took away from the beautiful game. As did the need to separate fans/parents. Chester Co. is the worst of them. Lexington only had issues (the fan being escorted out) because of what I stated above. Don's (not Donavan) just mad because nobody in the town he lives in takes him for his word. He tries to act like he owns soccer In Henderson Co, but the fact is, he had/has to be a ref to be able to set foot in town. Like the old saying goes......can't play? Coach. Can't coach? Ref. Story of his life.
  3. They already separated the Lex and D'burg fans. Cuz Chester and D'burg parents fought the other night.
  4. I don't know much about the other teams in West Tn, but I do know there has been a huge addition to the Lexington coaching staff. Two former rivals, now working together, is going to be interesting........The prez of the rec league told me that he thinks they are actually pretty good friends.
  5. Is there a recomendation for a good place to eat there?
  6. Anyone have any info on this game? /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  7. LHS 4, TCA 1 Great game indeed! I saw the second half. If TCA had a few more players, it would have been a different story, imo. Lexington's coach played his entire bench. And I hear that he was missing a captain, and another starter. I bet he has 25 players. I saw in the Jackson sun that USJ beat NS 1-0? I bet LHS would like another shot at NS. I wonder if they will get it in post season play? Or JCS. Those ties have got to hurt. Need to get rid of that rule.
  8. 3-3 final. LHS was up 3-1 at half. I watched from a distance, and it was an all out battle. But at the end, they all shook hands and went on with life. I was on the sideline for my friend's kids practice right when it was over, and players from both sides stayed for a long time talking after the game. Looked like they left everything ON the field. I guess a few JCS players live in Lex? So it was a big deal. Basically, LHS played their game in the first half, but got stunk into a bad situation the second half. I am told that JCS usually puts them down 10-0. Or they have for the last few years. So hats off to LHS! The ref's let the game get out of control, but I am sure that nobody is blaming the tie on that. But it was very physical.
  9. Lexington 3, JCS 3. Very rough game. Poor ref's if you ask me. Lexington had a parent ejected, JCS had parents taunting players. Players on both teams were very physical. Tons of people there due to rec league going on. I would like to see this game on a full size field.
  10. Lexington 6, South Side 0. Lexington is supposed to play Jackson Christian tonight. I hope the rain doesn't spoil it. This is the game I have been waiting for. 2 or 3 starters for JCS live in Lexington. These kids have somewhat of a rival going, I think. And Lexington seems to be doing much better than past years. This should be a great game.
  11. Anyone know about the tournament this weekend at Freed Hardeman U? I thought this was 2 weeks ago? I hear that Chester Co, McNairy Central, and some others are going to be in it. Anyone have the brackets?
  12. Lexington over Scotts Hill 6-1. Didn't get to see the game, but talked to coach at ball park tonight. Didn't really say much other than the 6 goals were by 2 players. I think he was watching his daughter and didn't want to be bothered. Anyone see it? In it? Busy week for Lex! USJ tomorrow night. Then some tourney in Hendersonville.
  13. You would think, being a district game, they would try to get the win, and then some. I heard they won it late in the game. I saw on ESSB they beat A-ville 5-1 last year. That just seems like cutting it a little close. And Shock, sorry, I do not reside in Lexington. No offence, but I couldn't live there. Just have some friends there with kids playing rec. I like to watch/help, so I am at the park all the time. I bet you wish you could play tonight. Soccer is always fun in the rain. Not so much in the snow, though. You should try seeing white lines in that mess! BTW, has your team been conditioning at all??!! You have like 5 games in 8 days at the end of the month. More if you do good in that FHU Tourn. I saw your schedule in one of those fancy programs, at the game the other night. That is very nice to have that with all your pictures and schedule in it. Very pro looking. I guess someone cares about you guys.
  14. And with JCS barley squeeking by Adamsville 2-1, .........well.......Who knows. That district is anybody's ball game.
  15. JCS 2, Adamsville 1. Wonder what is up with that?
  16. It is a short field, but it is within regs. I know, I have had to mark it before. Good game last night by the way! Both teams! I thought Lex was going to come back at the end. They really turned it on when you tied it up. I think there were some great goals scored, and some sketchy ones. Both teams seemed to play fairly well. NS was the more physical team, but it seamed that Lex was really on the ball. Last year, they met 3 times with a total score of 22-1. So hats off to whatever LHS is doing! And I don't think Lex is in the BOTW this year. So unless they meet in the districts, this could be it. NS moves down a district, right? Of course, I am sure they will still play each other, but they don't have to. I was really impressed with NS's and Lex's parents, too. So often there is lots of heckling going on. HS soccer shouldn't be like Rec League. And that is all I do. Rec parents can be the worst, because they don't know the game yet. And BTW, we got 4 full size fields that are almost done over at the new soccer complex. 2 marked all the time, and the other 2 broke up into smaller fields, but can be made into full size. I think a tournament is coming soon! In any case, I was really glad to see both teams do well. Good luck this season.
  17. JCM won 3 or 4 to 0. I don't know for sure. The CC game was more than that, I believe. I wish someone would put all the scores somewhere. It is hard to make it around to all the games. And I was supposed to be watching a few players and they never even got to play. I hate for all the teams that didn't get their games in. I wonder if they just lost out on the money?
  18. So, did NS just lay low at the Jamboree, like most teams? I didn't see anyone go all out in the games I watched. That is before my eyes froze shut. I saw Madison and Covington play and it was sort of a wash. Then Lex beat Cov with the bench, and ran pretty good against Madison, but lost 2-1. I saw JCM put it on WV and CC pretty good, but I couldn't tell if they were in full force. I noticed that Dyer Co and Haywood had a close game. But Lex beat DC by 8 goals last week, and I know for a fact Coach C never showed his starting line up. But Haywood stood up last night to LHS in a 4-4 draw, I think. I think this is going to be a year full of upsets. I hope so, since it is NS, USJ, and JCS's last year with teams like Lex, Adamsville, Riverside, yada yada. Fun Fun Fun, let the balls fly!
  19. Lexington tied Haywood 4-4. I watched some of the game during our practice. They had them 2-0 at half, but had a rec ref in there and he missed/made some very bad calls. I think L's coach was cool with it. If I remember right, LHS was beat by them twice last year, combined score of both games 15-1. So, definate improvement.
  20. 1-USJ 2-Lexington 3-JCS 4-North Side 5-TCA 6-Adamsville 7-Scotts Hill 8-Riverside 9-McKenzie
  21. Brine is perfect for us. Both Phantom and Champ. The guys and girls both seem to like them.
