I know a few guys that have interviewed with Keasler. Couple guys from Page, former assistant at Franklin/BGA, and the biggest RUMOR i have heard is that Daniels may coach the first couple years to help Keasler get the program up and running. notice i said rumor on th daniels thing.

First the O'Connor fiasco, then the always problematic East Hickman now I am hearing that Herzog at Page has lost virtually all support. Apparently parents are turning on him like Pancakes at IHOP. I must say he was not a popular choice to begin with and apparently has gotten worse. He did less with the most talent than any other coach in the region. Does anyone have any insight on this? Apparently the Patriots miss Coach Daniels a lot!! Again this is all through the Williamson County grapevine. Fill us in Page fans.

Whoa there chief. i am NOT a East fan. I am a fairview fan. And the reason you all won 6 games if because you play in the softest district in the state. East Hickman would be .500 in that district. Surely you remember the days you all played in ou district. whole lot of 0-10 or 1-9. Hater I think not realist I believe so. Why don't you all schedule my YellowJackets. WOW I never thought I would live to see the day that advice on how to run a program would be coming from Montgomery Central fans. Now that is FUNNY What you all have one 10 games in past 10 years. Just because you get into playoffs with 4-6 record does not make you all a model program

Has been very quite over there. Any news? What happened with the coach? How they gonna be next year?

Heard a rumor from a very reliable source that Jack Daniels would be interested in the position if contacted. He has a reputation of turning programs around and would be a great hire. Anyone else heard this?

Guess I would rather be a fan of Scarlett than a groupie for some Donkey that is intended for 5 year olds. So the better question is how old are and why are you on a computer without mommy and daddy's permission

That would be a great hire for Summit. He is about about the only thing Page has going for them. They better get ready for a beat down again next year by my Yellowjackets

I would think any of these 4 would be an outstanding choice. They have all been within the county and would do a good job. However the powers that be will probably not even consider these coaches. Someone at Ravenwood needs to get their act together and make contact with these coaches and at least get them to interview. Why not be proactive in going after the next coach.

Whoever gets this job needs to clean house. There staff is absolutely terrible except for a few (Kirby, etc) but some of the others are terrible. They got rid of one last year by not rehiring him but several more need to go. There is a lot of two-faced people on that staff starting with the AD. Could Shuman have done a better job especially with discipline?YES but a Head Coach has to have assistants he can trust and unfortunately at Ravenwood he didn't have the assistant, or Admin that he could trust. Good luck to the next head coach be careful of the lions den. My Yellowjackets would have spanked Ravenwood this year and that says a lot.

I think a large part of the problem at CC can be summed up in this post. Lack of parenting and justifying why my son did this and that. You are making excuses for your son getting a personnel foul penalty for pushing/hitting after the play. I am sure your son told you the official said that but we all know 16-17 year olds never lie to justify their actions. If i was to bet your son was right in the middle of the post game activities as well.

You are wrong. He could not have stayed. In fact he was put on a probational teaching contract after year one. In his tenure year the infamous principle fired him as a teacher but did offer to let him continue to be head coach. Obviously coaching without teaching was not option due to lack of being payed. not for sure if interviewed for Indy this past year or not.

One thing you got wrong. Smitty did not leave on his owm free will. He was not hired back as a teacher. Therefore the county will Not rehire him at any school. In my opinion the biggest problem has always and will always be the parents at INDY. Don't agree with how Dyson got the job but lets face it they are not busting at the seams with size or speed. The talent is more suited for a good 4A or average 5A team.

Everyone is overlooking one thing with Smitty. He was let go as a teacher not a coach. In Williamson county once you are let go as a teacher you will not be rehired period. So all you knuckleheads calling for Smitty can just get over that. Secondly, i totally agree that if this would have been handled in a professional way from the beginning there wouldn't be an issue. Anyone missing Eubanks yet?

I went to the game mainly because the Jackets wasn't playing and to check Page's talent. I thought the D was legit for Page. I also thought the Ref missed some calls but that is going to happen. I dont agree with questionable play calling though. I mean the backs in the backfield were not very good. They were very slow. They would break LOS and get run down by lineman. If they had their 2 backs they would have been gone. Just an opinion. What would you have called differently?

So Coach Hughes how is spring practice doing. Learned that only trick plays will not cut it in High School yet?

I wasn't impressed with them Friday versus Fairview. Yes Indy did win the scrimmage but the Jackets hung with them the whole scrimmage. Numbers eventually wore us down. Looked like 2 JV teams playing each other. Dyson is running a lot of I and playaction type stuff. A 4-6 defense and bringing the pressure. I don't see Indy being very successful under this leadership.. May be wishing they had Eubanks and staff very quickly. I hope I'm wrong but when a middle school coach has his players better prepared and more ready to play more than the Eagles were that says a lot. For the record I am not bashing just what I saw. Could be a loooooong season.

I hope I got the right district. Who do you all think are the teams to beat? I believe my boys from Fairview will win the 3A portion of the district and compete to win the entire district. I don't see the 4A schools being as tough as they where last year other than Marshall. If we would have had a legitimate high school coach we could have defeated a couple of the 4A schools last year. Hughes is still a middle school level coach in my opinion

You see Frankie us Giles folks lack the silver spoons you Williamson County folks enjoy. Most of us can't even afford under pinning for our doublewides! We usually just swipe the plastic fencing you guys put up in construction areas and spray paint them to match. As a matter of fact the last new job that came to Giles County was way back in the 90's. That's when we got our 2nd Dollar General Store. Big celebration and all. And don't even put us down because we all like to watch the gals wrestle on Saturday nights over at the old armory. Sometime a little chaw will drip onto the baseball when one of the boys throws it but our balls are old and dingy colored so you can't even tell it anyway. It all stems from having to vision LMSS in heels & hose. Brain damage for sure. You are wrong about the 5 yard head start. We only use 3. We are developing a "reputation". Its used to be an automatic win when playing Giles. Now we tend to get on peoples nerves a bit. Colleges seem to like us a little since 13 of our classless rude young men are now playing there over the last three years. You don't have to put much effort into arguing with us. CoachT will tell ya that we are may be the best at locking threads simply by bashing each other. And basically your right. Giles folks didn't cry when Old Yellow died Truer words have never been spoken. How ya been Oldfart? I haven't been on to talk to you in a while. Well WisenHeimer apparently you haven't heard under the new leadership of America we are all the same. No difference in Giles or Williamson. A whole Socialist thing. Now us Williamson Countians can flip the bill even more for you Giles Countians.

Frankie. You busted Giles. You see we had 8 playing baseball so we recruited 3 from the golf team, 2 from the tennis team, and 3 from the trap shooting crew. So some of the guys didn't know proper techniques. Now the old bluebird they travel in has a exhaust leak so the fumes had the boys a little woozy too. Even with all these factors weighing in the real problem was the word "proper". You see the word "proper" and Giles cannot be used in a sentence together. We are about as un-proper as you can get! You know you have a point. The more coaches around the area and more specific the district and the more people that I talk to that are involved in athletics (basketball, baseball, etc.) they all seem to mention how classless and rude Giles County (fans and coaches) are. I always knew the arrogance on coacht but I just assumed it was just a few posters. Seems it runs deeper than that. Maybe their reputation travels much further than here locally. Colleges maybe? Anyways back to the weights. I just think that there should be consistency in a competition. Do the weights with correct form. Kindof like timing the 40 with a 5 yard head start. Much easier to run a 4.4 that way.

From an outsiders point of view it looks like the baseball coach should have a little more discipline and demand his kids be there or they not play. Every other school does that. I am a football guy through and through but no matter when you have practice it is not a good idea for the other sports. The way it seems to work at Cheatham if they did it in May then you could have 6 guys missing district tournaments.

You mis-understood the rules and power cleans.The true look of who the stronger players are won't come until they get on the field this fall.(arms straight or bent) I think you misunderstood. The stronger player is not always the best player. And talking about strength I was referring to the weightroom obviously. But if you are going to do a WEIGHTLIFTING competition then at least do the lifts correctly. Otherwise why bother having the competition.

I was actually there even though Fairview chose to skip the event. I very much question the fairness of the competition. They were measured on Power cleans and Bench. Now Bench there is really no way to miss judge the lift. The PC's is a little bit different. I always thought that this lift whether do a hang clean or true power clean that the arms had to be straight. Well I saw a lot of the players starting with the weight in the bend of the hip at their waste. Then muscling it up to a PC finish. This is not fair if the other teams are doing true cleans. Giles was the worst at doing this from what I saw. Again maybe I misunderstood the rules but they were not doing proper cleans. I also heard that Spring Hill is going to do a lifting meet later in the spring that will add squats and cleans(where the arms must start straight). I think this will be more of a true look at who the stronger athletes in the district are. Which team made the biggest gains from last year?
