  1. Gettin' ready for girls basketball season.
  2. Pedo, you know as well as i do that if the 97 team was playing in this district instead of playing the Riverdale's of the state they would have probably went 9-1.My Senior year I was on a team with 2 1,000 rushers and a 1500 yard passing qb. i think this offense could be even better. We still got a lot of work to do but wait until you see them this fall, they have already come a long way. The attitude is very different then it was in February when we scrimmaged East Ridge. I know Im biased here but like I said earlier, Manchester needs to get excited. If you fans show up for these players they will show up for you. Theyre working too hard this summer for people to say same ole Coffee County cuz Im telling you this is a good football team fellas. Chris Murray threw for 250 yards last year.
  3. I don't believe that is accurate. And if it were, that wouldn't really be good for coffee county either. coffee county has beaten lincoln county twice in the past 28 years.
  4. Not sure but heard that his son Josh Morris applied, if you could get both of them WOW what a team. Don't believe everything you hear, huckleberry2. Josh has kids in Manchester and his wife works their. He isn't planning to go to McMinnville daily. Ricky would rather watch his grandkids play than coach against them in non-district games.
  5. That sounds all fine and good. But you can't pass if you can't catch. You watch Coffee County in pregame last year? They couldn't complete passes against air. So on fourth-and-one, bread-and-butter plays are what you win / lose with.
  6. I hope you're right. The schedule sets up to have a pretty good season wins and losses wise. You are coaching this year aren't you manchester-04? ... You will be a big upgrade over 420trap.
  7. Coach Jones has done an excellent job at Coffee Co. How long has he been there? I am guessing 9 or 10 years. Did the game go 8 innings last night? No, it ended in the ninth on a walk-off bases-loaded single by Brycen Davis. And this is coach Jones ninth year there. And you are right. He has done great. District championships in regular season 2003, 2004 and district tournament titles in 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2010. Substate appearances in 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2010. And now a state appearance. I'm not sure he is appreciate enough, honestly.
  8. You know, you're right. I heard Coffee County read your post and isn't even planning to show up. Good insight.
  9. That's a lousy excuse, coach. You are well aware of the rules. Or at least I should hope so. Since you are an educator (making posts on my dollar) and a former coach. So I look at it as an attack if you are going to lay it out there on coacht.
  10. ahh. typical. Football coaches can't win so they attack the teams who do. Oh wait, sorry, ex football coaches.
  11. Coffee County wins 17-0. Good luck to both teams Monday.
  12. Tromo, I'm still not sure who exactly you are a fan of? BUT, let's get real. What came from ONE parent / grandparent from the Coffee County side after the game was ridiculously embarassing, classless, criminal, whatever you wish to call it. And I agree. But you shouldn't judge the Coffee County community as a whole by one parents actions. That wouldn't be right just as I shouldn't judge Cookeville's fan base by the way you act or one person gets on here and acts. I was treated well in Cookeville and always have been, whether I'm there for baesball, football or basketball. And I believe that Cookeville is returned the favor when they travel to Manchester. That said, I am embarassed, and from Coffee County I would like to apologize. BUT, you know as well as I do, coach Jones can't control his parents any better than you can control the weather tomorrow. If you think otherwise, then my opinion of you just dropped. But, then again, I'm sure you couldn't care less about my opinion. Cookeville is a good team. I think they will beat Soddy Monday, especially with Spurgeon (sp) on the hill. He is tough. Good luck, hope 6-AAA is represented well in both games Monday.
  13. Sure they did, Tullahoma was on the wrong side of their trademark huge inning (consisting of a few lucky dink hits an error here and there and one or two huge hits.) It should not happen tomorrow. Tullahoma could rebound and win Wednesday. But Columbia has to be feeling pretty good about itself after beating Tullahoma's ace, even if it was bloops and errors. BUT, I think the biggest thing is simple, and I thought this all along, Tullahoma was going to catch Columbia at a bad time. Pickle is notorious for having his team peaking at the end and towards the tournament, minus last year's disapointing performance against Coffee County. But that was more Coffee's doing that Columbia's. I think Columbia has a pretty good chance at making a run to the 'Boro, to be honest.
  14. I think you do not know as much as you think you do. Straight from the horses mouth. You might have heard from the source but it is a different bread of horse. I talked with our #2 moms last night and he has been released and will be able to pitch next week. Now if Frazier wants to use him thats is his decision. You're talking about Shaq? Didn't he have like a 90-percent tear of the labrum?
