What tournaments are on: April 23 and 24, and also on April 30 and May 1st.

First of all one must understand what TSSAA says is not always "gold" Just because they may say practicing with two teams is o.k. does not make it right. I don't see the ego a problem, nor do I see the extra practicing a problem. What I fear and what other high school coaches may fear is the chance of injury. I try to go beyond the call of duty to keep my players safe at all times during all drills in practice, so my players may make it through the season healthy. If a kid was to get injuried during a summer league practice (during the hs season) not only would they hurt their coach, but more importantly they would hurt their teammates and the team. This would also be vise versa during the summer. This is the #1 problem and fear that I have and many other coaches may have also on this issue.. Thanks

There is where Waverly will be good...Coaching.... You have a great coach in Trey Graves. But you have a superior coach in Dale Neblett. This guy knows his X's and O's and also a great player-coach. A lot of people may not know this but Dale has learned his football from one of the best coaches around...And that is from Waverly's Jr. High Coach, Jammy McCloud. Why in God's green earth did Jammy McCloud not go coach at Waverly's High School. What a trio it could be: Trey Graves Dale Neblett and the peoples favorite Jammy McCloud..... WHAT A STAFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone heard about the teams that are playing in the Jackson Central Merry Tourn. March 18th and 19th in Jackson TN????????

Don't just look at Coach Graves, but look at what he would have as his assistant coaches...1) Jammy McCloud: an offensive and defensive mastermind. He has been a head coach at Dover Middle and Camden Jr. High where both places he excelled. Not only is he a great teacher of the game but a excellent motivator too. McClould loves to motivate and also loves to preach the game of football. 2) Dale Neblett: A master of the 5 wide offense and an excellent in school recruiter of the kids...Coach Neblett can get kids out to play football even when the kid is afraid to play a game of chess. Not only has Coach Neblett been a football coach for several years, but he has been under the leadership of Coach Graves most of his football career. One more thing that Coach Neblett brings to the table is that he is an awesome strength coach. Coach Neblett can and will get those Waverly players in tip top shape so that they can be prepared for the battle in the trenches.... Coach Graves plus Coach McCloud plus Coach Neblett = Many State Tournament appearances and a State Title or Two..... What does everyone else think???????

Did not answer the question of riding the pine..... Private universities has more players on the team because of high tuition cost.. Give those JV players a $2000 scholarship and they pay $10 to 12,000 more for school.... Not a JV player are you???????

I know odd Coach Woody Hunt he carries about 40 players on his team. Must of road the pine.... Remember my days at Lambuth with Ray King...Always was nice beating Woody and the boys.....

Who has the best looking high school game field and the best artwork or painted field???? I think Mckenzie spends a lot of time on their field and paints a real good looking rebel on the 50 yard line...What do you think????
