Congrats to Gibson for finishing an amazing season with a state championship. Livingston should be very proud of making it to the State Finals. Livingston pretty much beat themselves with all the silly mistakes. The pressure from Gibson had a alot to do with it, it just isn't typical for LA to have that many turnovers. Livingston missed 3 or more lay-ups, got called for a travel over 7 times, and gave up some crucial offensive rebounds to Gibson County. I guess you could say Livingston was just out of gas from their long journey to the finals. The LA girls should still keep their heads up high. Great season and great effort. What a game this will be! I am going to say that it will go to overtime...and LA wins as expected.

The difference maker is coaching. The coach keeps the team fighting, keeps the team wanting, and keeps the team's heart and desire at a high level. Coaching is how LA manages to beat Upperman and McMinn. They are the better teams on paper and maybe even talent wise. However, when push comes to shove Coach Smith will win when it matters most. The LA girls have done a great job throughout the season by keeping their heads up when some of the LA fans were doubting their abilities. They kept playing and it is paying off.

Actually, I partly agree with that guy. The same thing happens to Upperman every year. I don't think that the players are worried about points, but pretty much all of the blame can be placed on Coach McWilliams not having her team ready for post-season play. None of that matters now. LA is still in it and they still have a job to do!

Looks like it would make more sense to have the championship game around noon, then have the All-Star game around 5. That was everyone could take a break then head over to the all-star game. It seems like a stupid idea to do it "before" the championship games.

Just because a couple of us proud fans like to look ahead sometimes doesn't mean that the LA players are doing the same. Even if fans overlook a team, I highly doubt it will affect the outcome of the game. Coach Melton is going to have his team ready every night. Thanks for the information. Upperman had a great regular season. However, I am sure that they are disappointed with how it all ended.

Clay County's home win streak will end with this one.

Dustin Baxter is only "lights out" every other game it seems. It all depends on how he is playing. Nash will play well regardless. But if Dustin isn't shooting well, he will probably shoot his team out of it and send them home without a ticket to the dance. Just my thoughts.

This should be another great game for Livingston Academy. We had the gym packed last night and I am sure it will be even more crowded tomorrow night. Expect to hear the famous H-O-G E-Y-E chant all night long. Looks like it will be 2 years in a row in the boro for LA and I don't expect them to come home early this time.

I think the Wildcats are going to have to show up like they did at Upperman the other night if they expect to get past this tough team. It would be pretty awesome if our girls can win it all and then our boys turn around and do the same. GO LA!
