Yes Bobby did pitch. I am not sure if the injury hurt his velocity but it didn't hurt his ball movement at all. Great game played by both teams.

Soddy 6 Walker Valley 0. Hooper did not start the game for Walker Valley. Walker tried to rest her but after falling behind 6 runs she entered in the 3rd and pitched 4 innings with only 1 hit. Great game for Nunely also. She pitched very good. Great district tournament , congrats Soddy!

Walker Valley beats Rhea and Ooltewah tonight and earns birth to Regions. Soddy and Walker Valley play tomorrow night for home field in Regions.

I told you a week ago Walker left their bats in Orlando. lol. Seriously, not taking anything away from Rhea but right before the game as one of our seniors went to put a ball on a tee for a player, she swung and cracked a bone in her hand and is out. I watched the event totally change the attitude of the team. But a loss is a loss. Last night was a great game between Walker and Ooltewah. Walker left runners on base every inning I think and just couldn't win it in the final inning. Ooltewah's older team showed Walker's younger team how to play an entire game. Tonight Ooltewah goes to Rhea and Walker is home vs. Cleveland. Should be a GREAT district tournament.

Way to represent District 5 AAA and the Chattanooga area Soddy Girls!!!

I personally don't like to name girls mainly because I don't want to forget someone and usually people only talk about the girls on their team OR their own daughter. In saying that, As a Walker Valley parent I am very proud of our young team. I don't think we could ask for more from them. Most of our losses have come due to being young and immature but that happens when you play in district 5-AAA and start 6 sophomores and freshman. I heard a very upset coach in a JV game recently say, " Your gonna have to play harder, your playing their Varsity team again." I had to laugh because first, only 4 of the girls had played Varsity. Second,It was a cross town rival. And lastly, we had no choice. lol. I think alot of the schools are having that problem right now and thats a good problem to have for the future. There seems to be alot of talent out there right now not only in our district but all over the state. Good luck to all the ladies playing.

Ooltewah, Walker Valley, Rhea and Soddy seem to be starting to peek as Districts approach. Should be a fun week of softball.

True, that is why i said there is always an upset or two. AND that win came after Walker had beat them twice during District Play. By the way, Rhea is in the top 4 that I was talking about. Lol. Should be fun to watch! Stay away rain!!!
