  1. LOL~ Your guess is as good as mine. He ALWAYS goes out hard, and believe me we KNOW all about even mile splits and pacing etc..........he has been well coached in those areas! I guess he was "feeling good" and then when no one when went with him...............he decided to slow it down, then it was hard to get it back. My theory is...........if you do something kind of crazy and you do go out that hard- it doesn't matter if no one does go out with you- you better keep it up as long as your feeling it, it will all come out in the wash! That's ok- we live and learn! Congrats to you again- you ran GREAT!
  2. Good Job! Lots of surpises today in every race! Congrats to everyone that made it to State, or even ran a p.r. which would be extremely difficult to do on Collegedales course! Special congrats to Zack and Michael, Jackie and Tiffany and of course Trevor and Tracy who got 3rd in the girls AA!
  3. Bradley Central wins the girls division, followed By Ooltewah, and Cleveland BC's Jackie Pickel was the individual winner with a time of 20:20, and Clevelands Tiffany Palmer runner-up Rhea County's Zack McCool was the boys individual winner 16:23, followed by Mcminns Michael Billinsley(Runnerboy-I knew you could do it) Mcminns won the boys team title, then BCHS, then Cleveland!
  4. Todays the day! This board has been dead lately- Whats the deal? Just thought if I brought this topic back to the top maybe somebody would post- ANYTHING~
  5. I believe you- I had just found his stats from state last year and last years optimists.
  6. I hope you are right! I am for the Lady Mustangs all the way in this region AA Race, but I am afraid CCS is going to be hard to beat! Its not an impossibility but it will definitely be interesting. At Optimists CCS had 1,2,3,5,9, while WV had 4,6,7,8,11- making it a 36-20 margin in favor of CCS, but everybody knows Walker Valley has two excellent Coaches that will have their girls well prepared, and possibly can pull an upset! Good Luck Lady Mustangs!
  7. Fair enough~ I don't even remember the score- All I know is we got second and went to state too, and did pretty well...........we were excited anyways! Things change from year to year, I think region 3 is developing ALOT of good runners!
  8. When did Mcminn "KILL" BCHS? Just wondering? BCHS was 5th in the State last year, and then Mcminn was State Champs. That was a big victory but I wouldn't call it killing??? But I agree that Regions 7, and 8 and 3 are pretty tough for an individual-if you aren't on one of the better teams because the top 10 basically come from one or two teams with a couple of odd ones thrown in the mix!
  9. Once again, Based on last Thursday's performance alone- The GIRLS would go something like this (once again verifying that a few may or may not have had their "normal" races.) Top 10 Individual: 1.Jackie Pickel (BCHS) 2.Tiffany Palmer(CHS) 3.Amber Kienlen(BCHS) 4.Amber Marshall(Cumberland) 5.Katie myers(Soddy Daisy) 6.Ginni Herron(Mcminn) 7.Pam Woolson(Mcminn) 8.Jeanna Dalton(BCHS) 9.Lindsey Satterfield(CHS) 10.Hannah Johnson(Soddy Daisy) *(11th Jessee Jolley-BCHS) Top 3 Teams Bradley-37 Cleveland-67 Mcminn-78 Soddy Daisy-108 Cumberland-124 Also pointing out that Ooltewah was not in attendance at the Optimists meet~ Don't really know if they have any boys or girls that could possibly throw a curve in any of the predicted "standings". (Are we bored here or what?)
  10. Im not exactly sure what Kirchem's injury was or is, but I do know he HAS been injured. He didn't run at Jessee Owens when we went, and at Baylor on Thursday I saw him iceing and wearing some kind of a "boot"? I hope he is better too, its a shame to have such an injury this time of season, especially when it is your senior year!
  11. Yes that is how I came up with my team points too, but it was all based on last Thursday's perfomances- I guess alot can change in a week. You have to be diligent til the end! (I really think you can take the #1 spot runnerboy) But My heart is with McCool- he is just such a nice guy and good kid. You like to see people succeed that are so "modest" about it!
  12. Thats sounds pretty accurate according to Optimists Thursday. Did you do "investigating" like I did or is this just a miraculous guess? The way I figured it from Thursday-granted some people didn't race according to their best ability, but is was like this: Top 10 Individuals: 1.Zack McCool(Rhea) 2.Mike Buckley(Mc) 3.Michael Billingsley(Mc) 4.Jerome Robison(BCHS) 5.Chris Drainer(Mc) 6.Will Pryor(CHS) 7.Caleb Morgan(BCHS) 8.Matt Baltimore(BCHS) 9.Andy Highlander(SD) 10.Suhmer Smith(Mc) Top Three Teams Mcminn -35 Bradley-45 Cleveland-94 (Soddy Daisy had 97- could be really tight for 3rd) My only OPTIMISTIC hope being the big BEARS fan that I am is to switch #7 and #5, and add Adam Haney or Kyle Mcdowell to the 9 and 10 spot(which is VERY possible)! We'll see soon enough! Good Luck to everybody, and as Coach Cotton once said,"If we knew the outcome of race day there would be no point in racing."
  13. Adam, the guy who won...............it was not his first time to break 17:00. He only ran 17:00 at Classic but he was in the 15's last year too!

  15. Looks like the big man TREVOR HOWARTER has proved himself to be the fastest in our County this year thus fur! Great Run at Baylor Trevor! :justwrestle: :justwrestle:
  16. MustangRunning predicted it exactly right (Dang it) See I can admit when I am wrong. I was close though- I did get 1st and 2nd right!!! I didn't care to see Baylor win it, or Mcminn get second and I guess I didnt realize what McCallie had, but we should have had CCS (only a 5 pt spread thats tough)They are a good team. Oh well it was a fun day and I was glad to see everybody! Only 2 races to go! C ya at Region! Good Luck! Good Run Runnerboy!
  17. 1st- Baylor 2nd-Mcminn 3rd-Bradley or McCallie BC's waiting for next week to move in for the big kill- LOL! That was for you Runnerboy!
  18. If you truly feel you have been done an injustice, then why not call the Times and speak to the reporter and make a statement - ending this once and for all. At this point, I know you could care less- I do believe what you did at the River Park Course was NOT intended to be "pacing". Although I do understand how other coaches or spectators might have conceived it to be. Cotton is the President of the league- he is in charge, and in that position he did what anyone else would do. If it had been another Coach in charge and they received complaints from other schools of this nature they too would have done the same thing. They would have no choice. Only you and your runners know the Truth- You have a great bunch of guys- a little "cocky", but with their title they have every right to be. They have worked very hard for what they have. If I personally have offended you I am sorry. I just feel Cotton has been given a "bum wrap" the same as you believe you have! I know I said I wouldnt post anymore, and I probably won't- this past week has opened my eyes to what this board is all about, a bunch of bored people that likes to stir up trouble. I am also advising my son to PLEASE not post anymore, or even READ the posts for that matter. It doesn't contribute anything positive.
  19. Cool- I wondered how you got that pink elephant- I want one!!! Now I know all I have to do is quote you and I'll get one too! LOL
  20. You are a NUT- but I can't help but like ya! I really hope a SC is in your future.
  21. Jerome actually ran a 16:55 last year once- but at state 17:00-He was very good in Middle school- I think he got so involved in pole vault and hurdles he just hasn't taken X-Country that seriously til now!
  22. On the 3rd page of this thread!
  23. How did we get from runnerboy to this? Well there is a thing called scrolling back and reading previous posts, and if one were to do that they might see that someone ask a question, and that question might be "Who is the best runner in Bradley Co. (meaning Walker Valley, BC, or CHS)?" We wouldn't dare want to give anyone ANY credit at all for having a desent run either.
  24. If stangs running is who I think he is- He could ligitimately have a shot at State in AA or at least the top 4or 5?
