  1. Big thanks to everyone who game out Monday to support. it was a great game and we were able to raise over 3,000 dollars for the MS foundation!! Props to Jamie Petrik and others involved in making this event a success! As far as the game goes-- Catholic is a very very strong team. The majority of them have been playing together for a good bit. They have a free flowing, joga bonito style of attack which makes defending it very hard. Tim baker is one of the best players in the state in my mind, and possible the most underrated player around (i play on his club team). Other players like Suddy, Mark, Ben, and Alec add to the attack. It is a very dribble penetration based offense with slotting balls through the back line. They also use a lot of 1,2's and other quick passes to open up opportunities. It is free flowing and fluid. Catholic's defense is very solid. Tanner, Noah, Gabe, and Mark are organized. Andrew is their other defender and should be back soon (hamstring). Catholic has great team chemistry and play together very well. They know where each other are all the time. This game was good for CAK. It gave us a good test and really showed us our strengths and weaknesses. Field was a little slick in the second half, but other than that perfect conditions! Credit to Catholic for a great game!! They are a great team and a great group of kids. It was a clean, hard played game. I enjoyed it! BigG-- can you tell me how to change my username? This one's a little outdated
  2. I've had the pleasure of playing with Chandler, and also against him. Not only is he a great player on the field, he is also a great guy off the field. He has taken multiple trips with the ODP Region III team, and has attended some elite camps. Chandler has earned this award, and will be a great fit wherever he chooses to go for college. Keep up the good work.
  3. this is a great example of two coaches with WAY to much time on their hands. anyways, good luck to both teams, and i am really looking forward to this one!!
  4. Your source was incorrect /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />, Mark scored the first goal, then Sam Thompson for Alcoa tied it. then #10 had a very nice goal to take the lead. Second half, number 12 on alcoa (cant spell his name) had a sweet goal to tie it up. This was a very good game. Very intense. Freshman Austin Stone had a free kick go just wide. Mark had a free kick that just missed from about 35 out as well. Carter looked tired about half way through the second half. Alcoa had some great runs from their outside back (#6 maybe?) that lead to crosses. Alcoa played very well as a team. Congrats to both coaches on a great game with two classy, good teams.
  5. i cant wait for this game! two evenly matched teams in a HUGE rivalry. This should be a great game. Both teams are very solid all around in every position. This game could go either way, but i am going to say 1-0 Bearden. Look for Wilkerson or Campbell to get the goal. (is it true that Wilkerson has scored in every game?) I think both teams will have a very sucessful season.
  6. im pretty sure 3-0 bearden. field was very sloppy.
