I seen on the schoool website that job is open again, what happened to Dotson? I new them girls wouldn’t like that tough coaching and them parents would not like it either. Who will they get now? Any leeding candidates? Seem like a good job for a players coach, have to get along with everybody and play nice. Glad my eagles have same coach and stability

I sure hope you are right and its the coach your thinking, but i wouldn't be suprised if its just a smoke screen for another candidate, i still think the soccer coach is one to watch since their season just ended. If the coach you are wanting is hired back michael smithson better pair him with a calm figure to help keep his emotions under control better this time around. He will win a bunch of games but them girls better toughen up, he will hold no punches back, but that might be what the players and parents both need. Looking forward to our rival games this fall!

Its aweful quiet on the volleyball front, could they perhaps hired a coach and just waiting to announce? I seen nothing about it in the Times this week, I was hoping for a update from michael smithson but no news. My daughters friend says they announced tryouts for next week, how can they have tryouts with no coach? Must have been a done deal all along

my daughters friend says another option being considered is the soccer coach who is also ROTC teacher switching too volleyball because he is getting burned out on soccer and played volleyball in military, he would definitely bring some dicipline to them girls and make them play some ball, games would be entertaining too watching him yell and coach LOL!

I hope you do find some answers, please keep us posted, I know them girls are ankzious to get started practice....they must have somebody they waiting to give the job too or they would have already made the easy decision to hire from within. My daughters friend saw former HC coach at her school yesterday, don’t know if interviewing or just visiting, would be a shame to lose a good coach from within building over nothing but good ole Centervil politics

I am sorry to hear your daughter is upset, we know the feeling on the east end because we change coaches all the time. I think we could also be one of top jobs in state with all the talent we have each year but Centervill politics always come in to play when east might get good and spoil it for us again. Y’all have a good coach in the building that would be good choice but he used to yell to much at them girls and hurt their feelings, but maybe he is older now and learn to settle down a little bit, I wish the best for you in the search even though we are rivals we still live in the same county and a lot of our girls are friends and play travel ball together

I know Coach Barrett personally from his time in Hickman County and he left for a better job at Riverdale on his own, with no hard feelings toward HC. No reason at all to run it up. Hickman just isn't very good this year or deep. Lebanon didn't have many girls dressed on the bench but they all played early. Just a tough matchup athletically for HC, but better days are ahead for the Lady Dawgs

I thank yall will be happy with this coach when you see him coach, I like the way he yelled and got them girls to play ball when he was at hicman and my girl was at east and when we would play them he was nice fella to look at in them kaki pants for the ladys to, good luck coach brown

I agree them bulldogs look for real based on what i've seen in the scrimmage and against wayne on easts buy week, but i think my eagles will get up for that game and be ready. It should be a batttle of two good qb's, maybe both teams will be coming off wins this week, good luck to both teams

I may not be the best speller so go ahead and make fun, but I do know good football when i see it and what i watched firday night against lewis wasnt good football, but i seen lots of good football when my boys played in middle school and we beat these same teams thats all i'm saying. I will be hoping my eagles get things fixed this week and get the big road win

Our boys have beat them middle schoolers from other schools for years its about our time to shine at the high school level, this would have already happend if haris had been hired in the first place, but if my eyes didnt deceive me i seen him meeting with some posssible assistance at a local resturant this week

word on the stret is harris is working on puttting a staff together for a high school job soon maybe even to take over at east if they lose this week, i sure hope their is truth to this rumer

our lady eagles lost again last nite to fairview who was very good, i think they may have the team to win it all...i hope the eagles start winning soon, i think they will once the judkins effect has finally wore off...but i still think the team to watch out for is just down hwy 100 in centerville, because that loud coach that yells a lot always has them playin good by tournament time, and i think they have a bunch of young players who will get better. maybe my eagles can give them a good game when we play after the break

That hc pride sounds like he knows his stuff, i dont know that much but i will give my opinon on the teams i have seen or know. i think hc will win against page cause that hc coach is really good even though he yells a lot he wins a lot of games. fairview will prob win vs spring hill unless sh has improved a lot since last yer. east and marshall games have 1 common factor judkins...east will beat sumit because they dont have judkins who would loose to them, ba is better coach. and marshall will lose to lewis because they do have judkins. good luck to all teams tonight i will be there suporting my eagles

I agree with you eaglehart, word on the street is king is out if he losses tonight and haris will be in. i dont think cville can hang with us since we beat their jv 2 years in a row and a bunch of times in middle school.

as an east parent of a former player of coach chessor, I have to agree with this post. I am excited that my son will one day hopefully have the opportunity to play at ehhs for coach britt, but why bad mouth coach chessor when he did nothing but help those kids improve during his two years at our school. if you've ever talked to him, you would know he is a very approachable and likable person and he knows the game of baseball. My son respects him tremendously and enjoyed playing for him, so as a parent I appreciate that. This is why people outside our county laugh at us and no good coaches want to come here, because we are so negative and bad mouth coaches constantly. why not focus on our high school baseball team and its good record instead of talking about a former middle school coach. I wish coach chessor nothing but the best except the two times he plays us each year. go eagles!
