  1. Tim was a virus to the team. This was not the first incident, or "mistake" as you all put it, that has happened lately. In less than a month he has been involved in a theft ring, a destruction of property case, and of course the missed all nighter at the gym which he lied about. Does everyone make those kinds of mistakes? Also he wasn't regretfully or apologetic until after the meeting with Rick and his parents was over and he was kicked off the team. A great coaching move getting rid of him. You have to stand up to players and parents who break the rules and now they are paying the price. If I was the baseball coach I wouldn't let him play that either.
  2. Why are people considering Lewis County's victory last night nothing unusual against Perry County just because Lewis is AA while Perry is A? That's the most stupid thing I have heard, other than the constant Giles County comments. For the past decade when these two teams have met there hasn't been any concern about class size. Does the fact that Lewis County has 100 more students than Perry County make their players athleticaly superior? If that's the case then how did Perry County beat us the first time as well as in the past? How did Lewis County beat Lawrence County (AAA school)? If we had lost to Lawrence County we wouldn't have cried that they were AAA and we were only AA. I hope other schools and coaches read this and next year will not schedule a game with Perry County unless they are also A. That way Perry County can drive 100 miles to play another A school and not get picked on by a AA school just 15 miles up the road. Poor Babies! And according to your logic yes we are in a tough district because it is AA. Despite those sub .500 records from the teams above, they are superior to all A schools just because more people attend school there. You see how little common sense your agruments make? 3. Several rumors in Hohenwald are that the top two assistants under legendary Coach Bobby Sharp have considered the move. They are Offensive Coordinator Tim Watkins and Defensive Coordinator Kelly Spivey. Both have great motivational skills and are excellent coaches. But with the great David Sharp continuously improving going into his senior year along with a good supporting cast, its likely these two will stay around to help the Panthers make it to the state championship game. Those other staff members more inclined to leave who may be interested and successful are Damien Clayton, Scotty Duncan, and former Maury County native Trent Hill.
  4. From what I've heard from Giles County fans, Tyler was probably on the wing because HE wanted to be and in at the end of the game because HE wanted to be and there was simply nothing Holt could do about it.

    lewis vs. loretto

Did someone say Hinson may start at QB for the Panthers against Loretto? He did play extremely well against Richland. Sounds like we may have a Brady/Bledsoe situation here in Hohenwald. What do you all think?
  6. The Panthers will win Friday, but might have their hands full the whole night, sort of like the Lawrence County game if our boys aren't ready to play. Perry County has a decent passing game but their defense won't hold the Panthers to under 40 points.
  7. The girls have a lot of talent and two great coaches but seem to be too boy-crazy from some of their posts I have read.
  8. The Legends rankings was good and somewhat accurate from what I hear, if they are based only on the past 10-15 years. Before that, there are several who could be listed with those guys. The cute player list is ridiculus and needs deleted. That's why the girls aren't as good as they should be, too boy-crazy.
  9. If you put Sharp at Tailback he'd rush for over 1,000 yards. Why don't the coaches do it, who knows?
