No one is talking about it but what Coach Clark and the Wildcats from Lawrence County have done can't go unnoticed. After the Lincoln County loss and the District tournament final, no one gave them a shot to beat one Murfreesboro team, now they have beat two. Wildcats playing for a region championship tonight!

JD has moved to talking trash to Lawrence County fans and claiming to be a winner because Shelbyville is still in the playoffs.

I'm not from Giles County. Have 0 ties to the team or players but I follow high school sports really close. I also read these message boards where anyone in their mommas basement can make a comment. A few months ago I read where every one was showing support for a group of boys and coaching staff who had lost one of their key players to a car accident. They talked about Giles county being a family and coming together. Do you not think that every time these boys take the field they are thinking about him? And wanting to high five him after a huge hit? What about the coaches? They lost one of their kids. Did you really think this season was going to be easy? I'm glad my family has my back through good times, sad times and tragedy. Not just the good times. The kids read these post. Hope you're proud.

Anyway to get an update or listen to the trinity game?

Well the ride came to an end but I just want to thank Lawrence Co players for an amazing four years. Its been amazing to watch the 10 seniors play from summer ball to the high school years. You have accomplished more than most people would ever dream about. You were all part of the state championships in babe ruth to 3 region trips in high school. You all played a part if it was just being the DH or pitching in non-district games. You all have a lot to be proud of and thanks for one heck of a game tonight in region. You made the plays on defense to keep it close but just couldnt get the runs. Dylan and Zach: step up as leaders and continue the ride because I will say it right now. Lawrence Co will be in the hunt to go to region next year. A lot of talent watched the seniors play and they are ready.

I would like to know how Lawrence Co is lucky to be there? Beat Lincoln Co big twice and beat Shelbyville in the tourney, they are playing without there #1 SP. Is someone bitter that his number 1 team went 0-2? I dont want to be rude but dont call a team lucky. Have some class. Say you predict Blackman to win or somthing but dont call a team lucky. This group of seniors have been to region 3 out of 4 times. Just luck though

Not sure if they will get the Lincoln/Lawrence game but it should be an amazing game. Both are down on pitching I would assume but tons of seniors on the field for both teams. This is it for one set of seniors. Who will step up? It should be a high scoring game with the way both teams hit and lack of pitching after 3 games for both. Good luck to both and to the seniors-leave it on the field. Any at bat could be your last or any ground ball could be your last to field.

Whats the word if it rains this weekend like it is suppose to? Not really like they can wait for it to stop and play at night. If there is a rain delay in any of the games then it could mean a game not finishing that day or completely being moved to the next day because of now lights. Lawrence Co has a tarp and lights. Just seeing if you think it would be moved there if rain becomes a problem? Not bashing columbia for not having lights either, understand the situation, I'm two hours away so need to know what they have in place if there is rain.

Sportsguy22..you are one to be talkin about a columbia bias..get off your shelbyville high horse and quit complaining and throwing stuff at people. Lawrence Co or Franklin Co might not have as "good" of field as other teams but atleast they can get their fields ready when it rains. We can sit around and talk about why we dont want it at columbia and how people might not be able to watch the games or we can discuss who we think we will win and why and let the boys play the game in front of 2 fans or 100 fans. and use the restroom before you get there. now how does everyone see the tourney going?
