  1. Signal should have started preping for South Pitt back in the spring. I think they might have a tough lesson coming up.
  2. Worry about your game with SP cause we will meet up later. You've given Grundy some good locker room material with the "Garbage Team" and "Nobody" comments (Pirates vs Jasper thread). It's people like you who give Jasper a bad name! Good thing you blow all week cause the horn will not on Friday. Go back to your thread and let the Jackets and Indians have a little fun. Amen brother! Its sad when you're not even the best team in your county!
  3. I Can't figure out if Chiefbiguns main complaint is the coaching staff or the fan's social skills? Either way, if you want to give coaching tips, go see the coach in person or keep your criticism to yourself. As for the fans, Next friday, dress only in a loin cloth and bring your bow and arrow. That way we can all see what a dedicated fan you are!
  4. First of all let me say that I used the wrong choice of words in saying the program was getting worse. I realize what the record was the two previous years. We just aren't getting any better. Several kids that would have most likely been starters have quit. My understanding is that we only have a few freshmen on the team. Is that the coaches fault? Not totally, but some responsibility has to lie on the coach. You want some suggestions from me coach? Here goes. I am still wondering why a football coach, head coach at that, is going on a fan football message board and even commenting on anything that is said?? Don't you have other things to worry about besides what fans are saying on here? Here's another suggestion, get #40 out of fullback and put him back where here belongs. Who cares that the fullback carries the ball so much in your offense. He is 160 pounds soaking wet. Not only that, he was your best corner last year and he has been moved to safety? Please coach, enlighten me on that decision since your no coach as you quoted. Here's my last suggestion. I played football at Sequatchie County and have lived in Sequatchie my whole life. Now my memory isn't what it used to be but maybe someone else on here can jog it for me, but aren't the Indians PURPLE and GOLD?? I am glad we are playing Lookout Valley at home or I wouldn't have a clue which team was Sequatchie and which was LV. We are proud of our Purple and Gold in Sequatchie and expect to be in it on Friday nights. Now Coach, with all your unparralled knowledge please enlighten me. Let me first say that I usually don't dabble in the football forums, BUT... LET THE COACHES COACH! Its to easy to question play selection or personnel choices. So what if the fullback is 160 lbs, as long as he can do the job. I'm sure Coach B would love to have a full-back that was 6'3 230 lbs that could catch passes out of the backfield. But as luck would have it, we don't have many OL that are that big. This is not the place to bash undersize kids or coaches. Take it to the coaching staff or to the school board. As far as the purple and gold comment, many differend shades of the colors have been used over the years. In the late 80's, gold wasnt even in the uniform, It was purple and silver. JUST LET THE COACHES DO THEIR JOBS.
  5. MAN, THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME! Surely, someone knows something?
  6. Some folks just need drama to get them through the summer. Should get themselves a good summer team to help pass the time.
  7. Nah, Sounds like someone is sticking their spoon into the soup in Unicoi and seeing what they can stir up.
  8. Plan on RAIN. /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" />
  9. i just heard that the Austin Eagles got knocked out earlier today, (finished 4th I think.) Cruisers were still in the drivers seat.
  10. The word on the street says that the Nashville Cruisers are the only unbeaten 14U team as of 8 pm saturday night and the rain was delaying the games. Anyone heard anything different?
  11. Thanks for the information to both ASA and CFS
  12. Didn't stick around for Sunday's action, Who qualified in 14A? When I left saturday, The Mustangs were in control.
  13. Id rather lose a secttional game, than not even be in one! Isn't that Wilson's philosophy? He said he would rather be the waterboy at a good program, than the top assistant at a bad one. As much as I respect Ooltewah's program, they didn't make it to sectionals this year, just like Hixson! Its obvious Wilson has low regard for Coach Tate. Thats his opinion, but I don't thing its the consensus opinion of Coach Tate. Like most long-term successful coaches, she had her good years and some lean years. Name one successfull coach who never had a few rough years? The fact that she was coaching in the 80's and winning, says a lot about her knowledge and skill. Its a shame that people have to assassinate others in these types of forums. Maybe Coach Tate can take the Ooltewah job next year when they fail to make sectionals again and force their coach out!
  14. I have been lucky enough to have coached in most all organizations (ASA, USFA, ...etc) Its just my opinion that the best competition weekend and week out is the ASA. The quality of the tournament field is always top-notch. Every once in a while, you get a few teams that really don't belong there and are quickly dispatched. But, for the most part, any team in a ASA tournament can beat the others. The talent is usually equally distributed and of a higher caliber. Again, just my opinion!
  15. So, what is your record, Wilson? I'm curious to know who has the better one, you or Tate?
  16. 93 Frost Falcons beat the Chattanooga Force 14A twice in the Championship game. The Force had put the 93 Falcons in the losers bracket on Saturday. Both teams played well, in the end, the Falcons executed better! Congratulations to them.
  17. Soddy Daisy has a premier pitcher, Nunley, who will be sophmore. Chatt. Central has an excellent sophmore as well, so look for them to make a strong showing in AA (moved from AAA).
  18. I wouldn't forget about the Mustangs. They have great pitching and good hitting. If the get hot, they could move easily through a qualifier.
  19. Chattanooga Force 14A was 3-2-1. Tied the last game against the N. Alabama Rockets
  20. I agree. You've got to be careful at this age. The "status" of travel ball shouldn't be the focus, improve her skills and let her dominate the local rec league. Believe me, you got A LOT of traveling ahead of you. Don't rush it.
  21. I've seen Nunley pitch 3 games recently and has looked as impressive as anyone I've seen all year. Its really just "pick your poison" with any of the top players.
  22. Hard to argue with that list!
  23. Even if the Chattanooga Force had won the tournament, the 2nd place team would have recieved the berth. Just win your games! Its that simple. A wise coach would learn to benefit from such teams being in the tournament, let them put teams in the losers bracket for you or even eliminate them. Why get ticked off, just take care of your business and all will be fine. Berths should be earned by playing the best teams and beating them. In my opinion, there were 6 of the 13 teams last weekend that were capable of winning that berth. One team got the breaks they needed and the other five didn't. Congratulations to the Fury 94, now let them and the Chattanooga Force do the dirty work for you and eliminate your competition.
