Gibbs finish up their last District game tonight. They wrap up the District finishing 2nd place behind Seymour. Both Seymour and Gibbs will get a buy first round and host at their place. Tonight was a key win for the Eagles. They beat Fulton 12-0 in 5 innings tonight. Led by Justin Willis, Brenton Bates, and Michael Ross with his homer to end the game on the offensive side. The Eagles were led by Gavin Bales, starting RHP, that threw a no-hitter tonight allowing only 2 base runners. The Eagles might be on their way to another State appearence. They have beat Science Hill this year and are on a hot sreak right now. Gibbs has an outstanding performer this year...he goes by the name Biggy Big. His real name is Brenton Bates. Bates has been doing great this year. He has hit 4 already and he is still on the run. He helped get the Eagles started with his homer in the 2nd inning over the key win at Fulton. I see great comings for Brenton and he should do great in his future!

They are facing off at 5 o clock at Gibbs. both teams have their strong points. Justin Willis for Gibbs is throwing very well right now. Carter also has a lefty Matthew Parsons which beat Seymour a little while back. Although, word is Willis and Parsons will not be facing off with each other. Neither teams are the best at hitting but Gibbs is starting to see the ball and stroking it well. Tomorrow night should be a close match up but my bet goes to Willis for the win.
