  1. Do the teams that play in the qualifiers also pay to play at the state tournament?
  2. The post from Mt View plays for a team out of Blount County. She's gonna be a good one! Is the girl going to CAK, go to MtView now?
  3. Get there early....real early. McMinn wins big if early pressure gets to LA. If LA survives early, it should be a good game. McMinn wins by 12-15.
  4. Is this team one of hosts for the the AAU qualifing tournaments ?
  5. Look at Tennessee Team Pride Murfreesboro area. Also TN Extreme Cleveland/Chattanooga.
  6. Mazy...931 may be away so I'll help out w locker room material lol ! Fulton over Scott CAK over GP Loudon over Carter Pigeon Forge over Alcoa Fulton over Cak Pigeon Forge over Loudon Fulton over Pigeon Forge Hope this helps and good luck !
  7. Hv over Maryville Farragut over Campbell West over Halls OR over WB Farragut over Hardin Valley West over OR...Good game West over Farragut
  8. I would agree. Warning to parents looking to join a club headed by a high school coach....if your daughter is not attending the middle or high school of the coach...your 2nd in the pecking order !
  9. Do you think the intent is to strenghten the HS team or increase team fee revenue?
  10. Couldn't agree more ! What a setup for the hosting teams. Non annointed teams are forced to pay $2oo to host teams inorder to qualify for the state. Wow...you don't have to travel and your competitors pay for your state and national expenses.
  11. Probably correct on Heritage....Could be wrong, but I'd say they haven't had back to back losing seasons since the school opened in 1978.
  12. CAK 8-2 17-10 Alcoa 7-3 17-10 Loudon 7-3 15-7 Scott County 4-6 17-9 Stone Memorial 3-7 11-15 Kingston 1-9 12-15 Looks like the winner of the November forcast. Someone else said look out for CAK and Loudon. Those of us that had Stone near the top missed the boat. Tournament prediction.... 1 CAK 2 Alcoa 3 Scott 4 Loudon
  13. Would have to agree w/esparky ...some officating crews in D4 are below average. Usually the crew has 1 ref that makes the calls and 2 that just stand around and defer to the dominate official. Have saw 2 CAK home games....IMO the 8th grade PG carries the ball 50% of the time. Only once in 2 games was this called...it does give her a huge advantage. Will be interesting to see if regional refs will call traveling.
  14. Have been told that playing an eighth grader would add to the number of students that would be counted in the determination of class (A,AA,AAA).
  15. Tn Extreme... Cleveland/Chattanooga always has very good spring/summer teams.
  16. Have coaches been determined....if so are they on website ? Thanks
  17. Yeah, this is kinda what I've been told. Privates and small schools that have one administrator over middle and high school, can have 8th graders play for the high school team. At our school the high school is connected to the middle school, but each has its own principal. This is the reason I've been given that our 8th graders can't play high school ball. Not sure the logic behind this "rule". TSSAA's by-laws do not cover this ....maybe its a school system rule?
  18. Eighth Grade Participation Section 8. An eighth grade student is eligible to participate for a member school if he/she is enrolled at the school. Students below the eighth grade are not eligible. Any student repeating the eighth grade shall not be eligible for high school participation during the year that the student is repeating the eighth grade. I copied this from TSSAA web site. I've always been told that there are "rules" that determine which 8th graders can play on high school teams. Can anyone shed more light on this subject? Thanks
  19. Watched Stone vs Alcoa last night. Alcoa was a step quicker and shot the 3 alot better than Stone. Stone was bigger, but they seemed hesitant, and at times clumsy. One bright spot for Stone was the guard that hustled the entire game and made several good drives to basket. Even though they are at the bottom of the standings they could win district tournament. Alcoa will live or die on the 3's. They play hard, but they have no post game.
  20. Heard that Campbell Co may host because Scott's gym is too small?
  21. District Standings CAK 6-1 12-7 Loudon 5-2 12-6 Alcoa 4-2 13-8 Scott County 2-4 15-7 Stone Memorial 1-4 9-12 Kingston 1-6 9-12 District Scoreboard Feb 1 Alcoa at 48 Scott County 46 CAK at 54 Kingston 51 Stone Memorial at 33 Loudon 44 Looks like tournament will be fun to watch. Not sure seeding will mean much. (CAK won by just 3 over Kingston.) It may come down to who hosts the tournament.Does anyone know where it will be played ?
  22. I'll take a shot in the dark.... Sub-State Elizabethton over CAK Pigeon Forge over Chuckey-Doak McMinn over Upperman Livingston over Polk Don't know enough about the other sections to guess.
