  1. I would worry about Hardin valley before thinking about another game with Farragut. Hardin Valley is for real.
  2. Farragut is on a roll. Bearden will leave it all on the field but the Admirals have too much talent and depth. Farragut pulls away in the second half and wins 3-0.
  3. Familiar District Final: Farragut vs. Bearden The real question is how many time they will play again after Friday. Region final? State Final?
  4. Does anyone know the district 4 playoff game schedules? Times, dates locations?
  5. As a long time Farragut fan, I am certainly hoping that the Admirals run the table. But we all know soccer is a funny game, and strange things can happen in any game. Bad calls, bad weather, injuries, bounces, etc. The thing I like about this year's team is the mature approach the team has taken to each game. One game at a time and then move on. But, as the previous post said, don't count out any of the good teams, particularly ones with strong keepers, like Ryan Bristol. Good luck to all of the teams!
  6. As does CCS, and they have really been rolling people over. 12 shutouts. Only allowed 5 goals all season. May is going to be a lot of fun!
  7. Certainly both districts are strong. But, only two teams from each district can make it out of the district and ultimately to state. I feel certain that two teams from District 4 will make it to state. Perhaps there will be 2 teams from District 11 at state as well. Time will tell. Since you mentioned Brentwood's experience at State, don't forget that Farragut dominated Brentwood last year at State, and Bearden outplayed Brentwood in the semifinals but lost. If you are Brentwood and you make it to state, you better hope that you don't draw Farragut in the quarterfinals.
  8. Maryville 2 West 2 So where does that leave everyone for the District tournament?
  9. Here are a few names from East TN. I am sure I have overlooked several good players. Just trying to think of several and don't have time for a complete list. Seth Williams-Bearden Jamie White-Bearden Adam Wojnar-Bearden Sean Yoder-Bearden Michael Williams-Knox West Jack McCoy-Knox West David Lethco-Maryville Austin Pugh-Maryville Marc Fernandez-Maryville Josh Maner-Maryville Kyle Snyder-Maryville Nick Skoda-Hadin Valley Cody Newby-Farragut Carlos Del-Castillo-Negrete-Oak Ridge Kevin Cardona-McMinn County Junior Cifuentes-McMinn County Ben Kimball-Cleveland Rocklin Shumaker-CCS Adam Ryan-CCS Taylor Farrar-CCS Garrett Hicks-McCallie
  10. Saw Oak Ridge keeper in Farragut-Oak Ridge game. Not impressed. Maybe had an off night. Maybe just too much of the Admirals.
  11. I like Maryville over West right now. Should be a great game though.
  12. Dobyns-Bennett 4 Morristown West 1 CCS 5 Soddy Daisy 1 Cleveland 2 Boyd Buchanan 2
  13. A lot has changed since the beginning of the season, and a lot more will probably change before the district tournament, but if the tournament were played this week, it looks like Farragut and then Catholic or Bearden. I had thought this would be West's year to make a run, but it looks like they are probably not going to make it out of the DOD. Maryville has talent, but I am thinking they will be at home for the region as well. So who is it going to be? Farragut and ????
  14. Bearden is a great team. If it were any other year, they would proabably win state. But, this year's Farragut team is in a league of its own. Farragut 3-0.
  15. Looks like all of the top teams in AAA are listed, with the possible exception of Maryville. I know some people do not like this ranking system, but it would be hard to argue with any of the AAA teams listed except perhaps the last one or two. My personal list would look like this: AAA 1. Farragut 2. Bearden 3. Knox West 4. Franklin 5. Brentwood 6. Ravenwood 7. Centennial 8. Hendersonville 9. Independence 10. Clarksville 11. Maryville But, rankings are just that, it will all be decided on the field in the coming months. Should be exciting!
  16. IF West's top players can maintain their composure, I like West's chances in this game. Say, 2-1. IF West's top players do not maintain their composure, I don't like West's chances, and I will go with Bearden 3-1.

    !!!!!!!

Not surprised to see Farragut and Bearden in the top twenty in the nation. Good chance they will be in another state final this year.
  18. Farragut, West, Bearden, Maryville, Knox Catholic Probably 5 of the top 8 teams in AAA. Clearly the toughest district. Hands down.
  19. Did Hendersonville lose a lot of seniors or is something else going on? They were the second best team in the state tournament last year behind Farragut.
  20. Lots of Good Comments: Here are my top four. 1. Farragut-Clearly the top team with the top talent. 2. West-I like this team to end up in the state finals. I am a big fan of the large Mr. Williams in the back. 3. Bearden- Watch out next year, they may win it all. Who knows, they may win it this year. 4. Maryville-this is the team that may really surprise everyone this year. They would probably win every other district in the state. All four of these teams are probably in the top six in the entire state. Too bad they cannot all make it to the state tournament. Good luck to all of the teams. It will be fun to watch.
  21. Congratulations to all of the players listed.
