  1. Apparently TSSAA felt the same way.
  2. Yes. Congratulations to CAK on a tremendous win. Anyone have a game report?
  3. According to TSSAA here are the teams with the most state championships in soccer. Between Farragut, CAK and Bearden, they have 12 championships. Very impressive stat for Knoxville. I overlooked Knox Catholic, which makes 13. Christian Brothers 6 Houston 5 Christian Academy of Knoxville 5 Farragut 4 Baylor 3 Father Ryan 3 Brentwood 3 Bearden 3 Ridgeway 2 Hendersonville 2 Notre Dame 2 Christ Presbyterian Academy 1 McCallie 1 Lenoir City 1 Hixson 1 Chattanooga Christian 1 Memphis University School 1 Battle Ground Academy 1 Knoxville Catholic 1 St. George's 1
  4. You never know what will happen when two great teams play. That is why the games are played on the field.
  5. Definitely true. Farragut and Ravenwood are also listed in the top 40. All three teams are very good, but rankings don't mean a thing beginning next week.
  6. What an incredibly tough district! This looks more like a state tournament bracket.
  7. Having seen all of the strong Knoxville area teams as well as Cleveland, I think that Cleveland is a very solid team and they can definitely compete with the Knoxville area teams with possibly the exception of Farragut. That is no disrespect to Cleveland or any other the other East Tennessee teams, but Farragut seems to be in a league of their own this year. I was really impressed with how easily they dominated the Bearden game. I have also seen Oak Ridge play several times this year and they seem to be peaking at the right time. But, as another poster said, the playoffs start next week and the games will be played on the field. By the way, I would not count out Maryville either. All of these teams have exceptional talent and anything can happen in one game. One thing is for sure, the games will be fun to watch!
  8. I have seen McCallie play a couple of times this year, and McCallie's Hicks is a tremendous young player. I don't remember seeing him last year. He may be a freshman or a sophomore. They also have another young player named Rocha and I think he may be a freshman. With these two excellent young players, McCallie should fare well in the next few years. Likewise, CCS has a couple of tremendous sophomores as well. Both teams should do well in the post season.
  9. Having seen a lot of the Knoxville teams play this year, and having seen both of these teams, I would think this would be a tremendous game. Both teams are very talented and physical. If both teams play well, I would give the edge to Bearden 3-2. But I would not be shocked if Alcoa wins. Are both teams healthy? That could make a difference.
