  1. I think what they are trying to say is they don't need one because Coach Barrett does this already. I think these guys are just tired of all the negativity. I can understand that. It's like being married to someone and nothing you do is ever good enough for them, no matter how hard you try. I also feel you have a right to express your opinion at the same time...........Roll Tribe
  2. I was there the whole DB game but to answer some of your question, OR is down in size as well this year. They got beat by Farragut 32-7. The new coach, can't remember his name but he was Hillsboro's coach last year. They are the team that beat Maryville out of the state. OR is kinda on the same level as us this year Small and not alot of experience but they should come out next year and do alot better than this year. Scott Blade is the name of the new OR Head Coach. It just popped in my head.

  4. I cancelled mine to last year, but like DB says, it's normally laying around at work and I to pick it up just to shake my head in disbelief. I don't know why all the VA stuff is in there like it is. I guess they have no idea about hometown pride. If any read the article on DB last week, then they know the comment I'm talking about. When I read that statement, the article left my mind and went straight to a tragic event that had just finished its final course. The timeing of this statement, I thought "how innapropriate."
  5. Any TRUE Indian fan would have / should cancel their subscription to the Kingsport Times. They are pathetic. Also, GC really needs to leave some of those sayings at home before comming to the ballgame. Some are funny but most are out there . I think he uses them to avoid a question. I don't get a paper anymore. What was said in the Times News? It's the way they talk in regards to the Indians. Last week after we lost the game their was a quote in there that said "That was the nail in the coffin" to me, I thought this was a very bad time for our community to write something like this, a couple of days after Jake was layed to rest. Then, you would think that the paper would mostly be about the Indians and the Rebels since we are the Kingsport teams or atleast our conference but mostly what I read is about all these teams in VA. Pretty Bad, Pretty Bad!!!!
  6. We completley resect the process you guys are going threw right now. We as a community have seen, felt and remembered together. I surely hope non of ours will indrude in a disrespectful manner. Good win under the belt Friday night. I knew that was Jakes number 1 goal and I'm happy to see the team made it happen.

  8. You are way wrong 91. The freshman boys are not ready for varsity level , no way. These boys that are out there on varsity were almost undefeated their freshman year and did excellent their JV year. The game changes a whole lot in between these levels. I do think Steele is off this year. Don't know whats going on but his performance is not up to par. The passing game has been off as much as the running game this year with the running game improving a lot this past week. Experience at this level is a key factor in our guys now. Real suprised at your comment!!!
  9. kinda interesting that DB fans started out braggin' how farragut was gonna go down and now here they are...beggin' to win one. No, most DB fans did not say Farragut was going down. Their may have been one or two but they are just like yourself, they just want to run their mouth!!!!
  10. All I want to know is why would you run your half back / full back to your weekside? Your week side is for pass blocking not run blocking. All I can think of is they are running from a stand out linebacker or something, but doing this will not solve the problem at all and Friday was a prime example. I'm not being sarcastic, I'm being serious. Who on this board can explain this to me?
  11. I will have to agree with you on this 91. I am aggravated at mostly the play calls and choices of Friday's game but, Rusty has earned him keep. He works extremley hard and I feel it shows. I was not complaining in my last post. I really would like for someone to explain these things to me. If you have a different view point on my take of the game, please let me hear it. I'm not trying to start a thread war, I would really like to understand because I feel as if what I saw is just plain common sense.
  12. For those that have missed scrimmages or the first game, you can go to allengreene.zenfolio.com. These are still pictures but if you look at the Halls scrimmage and the Farragut game, you can see the difference in the blocking. O-line, Hall scrimmage went mostly to right side and Farragut goes mostly to left. On D you can see the tackles and get a good glimps at who all was in on these and also who missed some. It don't cover play by play but its very helpful. These pictures really helped me confirm my thoughts. I went to both but this gives you a close up of some of the action.
  13. Here is my questions and take on the game. First, Why in the world would you run the ball 90% percent of the time to your week side? Also, why in the world would you try to send your RB up the middle when the defense was collapsing it? It's obvious it was not working yet we did it over and over!! If you watch the O-line you can see who's doing their job but it takes them all. Roop, had several good throws but he's gonna have to exicute his handoffs faster. The Play calling is taking way, way to long. What happened to signals, why run to the side line everytime? Why not use a outside sweep with Chris? He is extremely fast and once going hard to take down. Pitch it to him and let him go. The passing game worked just mix it up. It's like a pattern if it worked once they did it again. Now the Defense, Absolutley NO tackling!! We are small and they were bigger but if you wrap the legs their going no where. All I saw was our guys throwing their bodies in to them and then bouncing off. The same goes here, a couple are doing their job but it takes them all. I even saw a play were our guy pretty much jumped on the guys back like he was gonna take a ride. The fullback was big, probably 210 and they keep useing him over and over because it was working. Now why in the world would you not put some of the big boys on the line to stop it up??? I know they don't really want to play them both ways but sometimes in some situations you may have to. This was a perfect example, the fullback was to big for our normal d-line to handle. Last, our corner is gonna have to get to the plays and make them. I think Clark is a great coach but I wish they would put Ryan Wagner or Daddy Wagner up in the booth and let them call the plays down. Let's learn from this guys.........ROLL TRIBE

  15. I would think a freshman moving up would be unusual but not unprecedented. I believe Jordan Edwards played varsity as a freshman and others probably have as well. You are probably referring to Devon Swafford. He is one of the best young guards I have seen in the area in the last few years. He should have a very bright future in the Tribe basketball program. What is South working with this year?
  16. Wow , What a Man. Actually, I know you mean this and the same back to you. Even though we have a great Rivalry, We both are Kingsport teams. Kind of like Brothers. We can beat on each other but No one else can.
  17. Hey, Whacko Jock---speaking of the past, someone in your past must have once told you that you are regarded as a knowledgeable person. Not football, maybe car parts. Go take inventory of your car parts, do something contributing. Oh......now I sell car parts. I thought I was going to get to be a banker next. Waco, they have already started passing the glass pipe around. Dilusion, is a small side effect. The rotten teeth is one of the larger. You thought the teeth was from the tobacco didn't you.
  18. Oh lord, now the little devil faithful have to chime in. Shouldn't you be out mowing that nice turf of yours? They are real busy at the moment. In the mean time can we borrow your wi.....I mean cow for about a day. From the looks of her i think she could get the job done in couple of hours!
  19. Comp why not find a college board thats equivelent to CoachT.........No, No he might run away from college.
  20. The offensive line is gonna have to open it up and the Defense is gonna have to cover the pass play and not let the qb run with the ball. What does the defensive look like at Farragut?
  21. You misspelled that.....its winner. You always got an answer. You crack me up.
  22. D-B, SS, SH and TH will all be with in the similar talent range. There for, turnovers will be vital.
  23. Yeah looks like Darius with the ball and Derrick will have his back then you have Jujuan and Tyler at wing. Down low you will have Adam and Since Devon is out, it will be Corey Hall or Ben Riggs. From what I understand Zack Kelly quit because Morgan wanted him down low and He did not like that at all. He wanted to play wing. I'm not 100 percent correct of this, just what I heard. I think SH will be our toughest as always!!!
