  1. Columbia 3 Shelbyville 1 in the semi finals tonight. Anyone know the winner of Tullahoma and Lincoln County??
  2. Columbia and Lincoln County played tonight for the regular season championship with Columbia surviving 5-2. Very physical and hard fought battle. #23 for Columbia Payne Fisher did another good job of controling the middle. I would think these two team just might meet again in the District tournament for the Championship again.
  3. Columbia 5 Shelbyville 0 Columbia scored early jumping out to a 2-0 lead and never looked back in this one. Could have been much worse played several JV players in the second half. Once again #23 Payne Fisher for Columbia was a force in the middle.
  4. Tullahoma traveled to Columbia last night with Columbia coming out on top 5-2. Tullahoma seemed to be missing their key mid fielder and keeper? All in all hard fought match with #23 for Columbia Payne Fisher controling the middle and ditributing the ball very well to his guys up front. J. wright had a hat trick as well for Columbia.
  5. Who will come out on top this year in 8AAA???

Columbia Central and Shelbyville played to a 0-0 draw last night in a hard fight battle. BOth teams had opportunity to put it in the back of the net but neither could finish!

I want to first congratulate LaVergne on a very hard fought, well played match last night against Columbia. Both teams gave it their all! I only wish I could have equally glowing comments for the three officials of this game. Not to take anything away from LaVergne but its a crying shame that the TSSAA can not find ref's that know and understand the rules of soccer for a semi- final matchup in the regional. If these games were subject to review as in an NFL, MLB, etc I feel these three guys would be serving out a nice suspension from the game for awhile. This game truly was not decided by the players on the field but the ref's! Both teams played way too hard for that to be the ultimate outcome.

    best juniors

Would have to put #23 Payne Fisher of Columbia into this group of great juniors as well. Although he was injuried toward the end of March and has not returned to 100% having played only limited time in two games since March. He is one of the best center mids in the state.
  9. Coloumbia 5 Oakland 3 Columbia looked much better tonight than their last performances of late. Important district match on Thursday with Franklin County

  11. My comments in no way were intended to take anything away from the Md Tn Fire team! They clearly were the better team that day and are one hect of a good passing team. They move the ball very well and look for the cutting open man. They seem to always know where there team mates it is alsways a joy to watch a team like this no matter who you support! My comments were just posted after reading the ones of Pitch that Columbia was not a top 25 team and to quote "are so weak". Again congrats to Md TN Fire on a great game! You look at their schedule and they will answer those questions soon as to some of the teams he mentioned and how they will stack up. I think they close the season with Farrgart.
  12. Yeah I almost hate to mention this again but Columbia and Indy were tied the first game of this season at 1-1. Granted due to a stupid mistake by their keeper which resulted in a red and automatic PK Indy did prevail 3-1.
  13. I have not seen Lincoiln County play this year but they have posted some interesting scores so far early into the season. I know they have another tough match on Tuesday against Oakland. As for the Columbia/Lincoln county game that should be the last game in the district race before the tournament starts. Could be for all the marbles or so it seems right now. Too bad most of the district games have been rained out so far. I believe Columbia is the only team to play two district games, most have yet to play one.
  14. On the Riverdale/Columbia matchup tmwr will be interesting to see just how Columbia will play without their leader in the middle #23 Payne Fisher. I did not make the game on Saturday against Lawrenceburg but undersrtand they handled that challenge queit well 5-1 and should have been much worse. We all know the competetion will be much greater in Riverdale. If their mids can control the ball and the defense not give up the easy run, should be a great match!
  15. I'm not sure they can score 5 against anyone with out #23 in the middle. While he is always a threat to score the best thing he brings every game is his ability to control the middle and make great passes. Also, when needed he can go back and shut down the other team as well. I can't remember the final last year but I think it was pretty close match and #23 played the whole game. While they did manage to hold Tullahoma to only one goal in the second half. Tullahoma had many chances in the second half that they did not finish. You are good with your predicitions I will give you that. Columbia 5 and Lawrenceburg 1!!
