Stupid penalties and personal fouls galore, what is any difference from the last two years at Smyrna. Tssaa should take a look at the fight on the Smyrna sidelines and see if they can help the Smyrna coaches control their own players cause we all know the Smyrna coaches can't. Totally embarrasing when 20 players come off the sideline and jump 2 Gallatin players after the late hit which the ref threw the flag, but no thats not good enough for Smyrna. They have to get their own flags thrown on them to go along with the punches. I am convinced Smyrna will never learn as it has gone on for to long, going on year 3 and still no change. As you can tell I am one totally embarrased Smyrna fan. As for the grades I would give Smyrna B- also and an "F" for class.
And I give you and milo118 an "F" as fans. Negativity from the fans bleeds into your players and hurts team morale. I, for one, as a Gallatin fan thought Smyrna looked great tonight. They have a ton of athletes and several weapons and as the game wore on, Smyrna's o-line was able to control the line of scrimmage very well. I wasn't proud of either team for allowing their emotions to get in the way of a great scrimmage. Gallatin has some work to do but our qb's play was something we can build on and our linebackers did a good job. Overall, it was a very physical scrimmage. And I support the team and the coaches and I suggest you do the same as a Smyrna fan - negative comments don't build up, they tear down! Good luck this season.
