  1. Wolfpack practices starts Tuesday. Wrestlers from Seymour, Alcoa, Maryville, and Halls will be there. Everyone's welcome. Contact Cody for more information. chumphrey@hpud.org
  2. Cody Humphrey and Tiger McCord are joining forces to run a freestyle club this spring for Greater Knoxville area wrestlers. This will be a wrestling opportunity for athletes all around the region. We will be practicing at Halls High School on Tuesdays and South Doyle High School on Thursdays 6:30 - 8:00. We will compete in a few tournaments that will offer freestyle, Greco Roman and Folkstyle wrestling. Practices will run through the end of May. First Practices: March 22nd at 6:30 Halls High Wrestling Building, and then March 24th at 6:30 at South Doyle Wrestling Building. Coaches include: Cody Humphrey - TN State Champion, NCAA All-American.   6. Ground and Pound Waylon!! After winning a State Title at Jeff County, Waylon was a 3x NCAA DII National Champion at University of Findlay in Ohio.

  10. Seymour High School's dual tournament the Eagle Challenge is December 11, 2011. We have room for up to 16 teams, still have room! look for previous post titled "Eagle Challenge" or email ralexcate@gmail.com for more info.

  12. pretty sure Waylon Lowe was a 4x Div II all-american and 3x Div-II National Champ. His Senior Year he beat a 2x Div-II champ in the finals to claim his third title.
  13. Eagle Challenge, Seymour's team dual tournament will be December 12th (was previously scheduled for January 16th). We can take up to 16 teams. Each team should get 4-5 matches. I will try to match you up with teams you don't already have scheduled. The entry fee will be to offset the cost of officials and depending on the number of teams who commit it will be around $100. I have several teams commited, but there is still plenty of space. Let me know if you are coming, and email me if you have any other questions.
