  1. Doesn't usually relate to much, but a few weekends ago rumor has it, a 12u AA player hit a ball at the Donelson Rotary 320+ ft. Any witnesses to this?
  2. I guess you don't remember posting this. This was my concern that district 8AAA had a such a lack of participation. You said so yourself. Now your getting pissed that someone is questioning that fact. REALLY! I'm sure it took a lot of time and hard work to put this event together but you told on those very coaches that your defending in your last post. Btw I'm glad you done the right thing and submitted the guys you thought were deserving. Job well done coach.
  3. Terrible explanation of why there are no 8aaa kids on this team. I see a kid listed on the roster that is injured but your telling me you can't nominate kids because they are going to be out of town or the draft. Give me a break! But what's even worse is the coaches of the district not even stepping up and having a voice period. I'm sure every senior on every team contributed on the success of the Coaches of 8aaa and not one was commended for it. I have lost all respect for every Coach in the self proclaimed best district in middle Tennessee. DISTRICT 8AAA. This is discusting in every way shape and form. I feel terrible for those kids that poured their heart for years for a Coach that didn't even have the _______ to even nominate them!
  4. Ok I have to say it. The head coach of this team is representing district 8AAA but what about no players from this great district. Are there not any players worthy of attending or did the coaches of this Great district drop the ball? Explain Please!
  5. With the graduation of Trey Burks and a pack of other Wildcats, will Tullahoma be able to compete this year?
  6. Let me add though, the recruiting may be unintentionally intentional.
  7. Your District's problem is that Farragut gets the "cream of the crop" They do more recruiting than Coach Serrano himself. lol
  8. They do indeed help each other. An athlete get the strength and conditioning from football (which is not good for all baseball players: PITCHERS) and also aggressiveness. In baseball terms it means stronger players and overall bulldog approach to the game "Big League Mentality" or "Player Make-up". Example: most QB are your starting SS or SP (stud pitcher). Not to mention Leadership that caries over from those specific positions.
  9. Tullahoma's RHP Jordan Sheffield drafted in 13th round to the Boston RedSox despite only throwing in one game for 3 innings. Also had season ending Tommy John surgery. WOW!
  10. Justus Sheffield threw a "Masterful" complete game no hitter last night against the Rebels of Franklin Co. He ended up with 15k's and only 2 walks and several quick innings in a 5 to 0 route of the Rebels. Franklin Co. threw a couple of good arms lastnight, so the question is, will they have enough fire power to hold off the Cats sweep at home tonight?
  11. What a great game last nite. The two teams battle every play but tullahoma made plays when it counted. The best 5 dollars I ve ever spent. Should have charged $100 at the gate. Keep the winning ways tullahoma!
  12. Best performance of the year I would say in 8aaa. Best I've ever seen Jordan "pitch"
  13. Oh yeah, Justus also hit a two run homer in the first. The "Sheffield's" will be fine.
  14. In Sheffield's defense he did play a great shortstop for 5 innings. He came in the game in the 6th with two runners already on. He pitched 1 2/3 innings striking out I think 3 or 4 batters. He did however have two wild pitches but still every time he steps on the field he's the best athlete out there. He runs. He throws. He pitches. He hits. So, no he's not Sunny. He's more!
  15. Tullahoma upsets Farragut 1-0. Junior pitcher Sam Tomes was great on the mound for Tully. He pitched 5 scoreless innings keeping the admirals off balanced with a 80-85 mph fastball and a good change up. Jordan Sheffield closed the game with a fastball that hit 94 mph.
  16. You can say the same for Columbia" 1 1/2 pitchers".
  17. Yes I would like to know. He is a very good coach and a fine person!
  18. Good win for Tully tonight as they beat Hwy 55 rival Coffee Co. 4-0.
  19. 1. Tullahoma / Columbia 3. Lincoln Co. 4. Franklin co. 5. Lawrenceburg 6. Shelbyvile Im going to give the nod to Tully in the end. Think they have just enough bats to beat Columbia. Every game, might I add, will be 3 runs or less.
  20. The thread is about Serrano speaking in Clarksville and not speaking in Tullahoma. We are all aware of his accomplishments. Fact is he "committed" to speaking to both schools on back to back days and now that "Jordan" committed to another school he's just not going to show. His parents told me that he never committed to UT anyways. Sad part is "Justus" has mentioned to many people that he may not want to follow big bro and pave his own road. Now, do you think Tennessee is at the top of the list? I'de say not! Plus I didnt know that Tully only has "one" baseball family.
  21. What about Dave coming to Tullahoma? The whole town was waiting to hear Serrano speak at The Tullahoma Wildcats Baseball Banquet but for reasons unknown he is now not coming. Anybody have any reasons to why?
  22. fact is you would nt have heard of these guys unless your familiar with the little league scene. I think they have multiple state championships at that level but we (as tullahoma fans) are anxious to see if that pans out at the high school level. And yes they are underclassmen but pretty good.
  23. We like the Mathers kid and all that he does but he has his own thread.
