Based on head to head games against a good hitting Science Hill team, looks like Silvers can hold her own with any team in East Tennessee. Her numbers a lot better than the other one.

Perhaps you can expand a bit on what you mean by, 'the girls didn't come to play" with the rest of the many fans and followers of your school. Does it include "all" the girls on the team, "some" of the girls on the team, or maybe just the "non-pitching" girls that didn't come to play? Just curious, last time I went to a field to watch a game, it was still a team sport.

Hmmm.....Hello all from The Big Blue Country. It's time I spoke up, and this goes for all teams, parents! Let the kids play without anguish, let the coaches coach, yes I've been there, it's not my first. Don't tell your DD how good she is or how much better you are than the ones playing. It only causes alot of confusion to the kid. Some parents are living there dream through there child, stop it, its your child paying your dues. All I ask is in Unicoi and else where, Im sure were not the only ones with problems, JUST LET THE KIDS PLAY AND THE COACH, COACH! We really have a Great Team if everyone else would just build in your child and others and not put others down.

Hmmm, May have to visit Elizabethton again next Wednesday. May need to tone it down a bit.

Considering the fact that I don't live within 200 miles of the place, and if I did have kids which I don't, then the answer is No. Do you have kids that play on the team? Or sit behind inferior talent? Perhaps you can enlighten the masses.

Word down this way is that the team is rebuilding but using the wrong materials. Weak foundations lead to failure.

I see the real recognition as being in the form of scholarships. Forget the pats on the back, "show me the money". That's what it's about, getting their educations paid for. Plaques and trophies are nice, but 100K a year job after they graduate is nicer. Besides, if an athlete does her best everytime she goes out, then she can take pride in herself. She doesn't have anything to prove to anyone except herself.

I doesn't matter who she is, she deserved State level recognition. I saw her play at the Eastman Tournament and was beginning to believe that maybe she was not human. Outstanding athlete! not to mention pitcher. I am with Statman on this one. There is definitely a flaw in how the All State team is selected.

Please clarify this statement. I am a bit in the dark as to your point.

I can see where Unicoi could have 2 players on the All State Team but not 3. One of the picks was not deserved. Goodpasture should have more.
