  1. I read on an earlier post that Upperman lost only one player from last year. I thought they had 3 seniors last year.
  2. Even though I hate to admit it...Upperman had a great team this year! It is kind of sad they are out. I was kind of looking forward to see another game between them and "our ladies"!! They will be good next year. But, I think they are losing ALOT!! They have great freshman...but they also had some great seniors that was the core of their team. I think they will definetly be missed next year. They will be tough next year (but not as tough as our Lady Blue Devils!!!!!!)
  3. You know...we've got ALOT of girls playing in this district, on EVERY team, that play every night with painful injuries...and we don't ever hear a thing about it. And I would say most of them, if not all of them, are NOT self-inflicted injuries!
  4. well...I never thought I would be an Upperman fan...but I'm going to be cheering for them BIGTIME Friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it will be a great game...alot of seniors wanting that last win. Is Upperman's Cynthia Medley injured? I sure hope not!!!
  5. Way to go Lady Blue Devils!!!! That one was a nail biter...and you pulled it out again! But, I can't take anything away from Upperman. They've got a good team, especially for their size. It looks like they've lost some really close ones...everybody better watch out i would say. GO LADY BLUE DEVILS!!!!!!!!! #5 in March!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Does Upperman really have a chance in playing with JC's height??? Is that what happened with York? Upperman has a good team...but how can they rebound against us?
  7. was anyone at this game? anything we should know before we travel to Upperman Tuesday?
  8. Amen to that, Jimbo! I think we have forgotten the importance of rebounding also...especially offensive rebounds...that's 2 quick points there.
  9. Rematch may go different??? Home court advantage??? :justwrestle:
  10. Sounds like it was a close game. Sorry I missed it. Did Upperman play that good or was Livingston off tonight?
  11. ShutupandPlay...GREAT JOB!!! I guess those statistics take care of any doubt that 7AA is the strongest district!!
  12. Great answer "dedicatedmom"! I have seen Upperman play and I have seen Harpeth Hall play...Harpeth Hall is not a 30 point better team by no means. You didn't have to see that game to know that tall players with long arms would definetly be at an advantage on an "elementary size" floor. Play that game on the size floor Upperman has and it kind of evens up Upperman's smaller team. But...what does it matter???...Jackson County is bringing home their 5th gold ball anyway!!!!
  13. I still have faith that my "Lady Blue Devils" will bring home another gold ball this year. There are alot of good teams in AA...but it takes more than talent to win the BIG GAME. It's a whole different game down there. JC's basketball program seems to develop players with what it takes to play that game...it's more than just talent. When the time comes...they just refuse to accept anything less than the gold ball. Good luck "Lady Blue Devils"!!!!!!!
  14. wow...one bad night and you're ruined for life????
  15. Are there any games being played tonight - Saturday? Obviously, it will be almost impossible to follow with a game to compare to Jackson Co. and Livingston. But there are alot more good basketball teams that treat us fans with GREAT girls basketball in this area! :justwrestle:
  16. Isn't it amazing what happens when you play TEAM BALL and you have GREAT senior leadership??
  17. That's a good point. They are really on the level of sophomore players. It's a good thing they got in last year, because Upperman won't have that luxury anymore of playing 8th graders.
  18. What about the other teams in 7AA...who are their go to players? I haven't got to see any of them play yet.
  19. Obviously, you people don't know much about District 7AA basketball (boys and girls) in the state of Tennessee. Alot of times, those of us that have to stand up and watch the girl's game can usually find a seat for the boys game. I guess wherever you all live don't have "true" basketball fans. Where we live...basketball is ONE sport. Girls and boys both play that sport. Sounds like you all have TWO sports...girls' basketball and boys' basketball. Are those TWO sports played by different rules? Can girls and boys play either/both sports? Could be it might be easier for college recruiting if this change was made...hadn't really thought about it. Around here, we have high school athletics for EVERYONE in our schools, not for the ones that might receive a college scolarship. You know what's funny though, our district receives alot of scholarships. But that's not the reason we play basketball here. We play because we LOVE the game. Some of our girls' games have more college coaches in attendance than you could keep up with. I guess they don't seem to have a problem recruiting our players in District 7AA.
  20. Did Livingston play at Jackson Co. today? If so, what was the score?
  21. I need some help settling a MAJOR discussion around here. What place did Jackson County boys end up in the regular season and tournament for the past 4 years? We seem to have several different opinions. Does anyone know the real truth? Thanks alot for helping us get the RIGHT information!
  22. Congratulations Deanna!!!! We are so proud of you! I am glad to see that the TTU coaching staff doesn't let the best players in the state slip through their hands! You are awsome...how many athletes (male or female) can say they have a state championship ring for all 4 years in high school??? We will be there to cheer you on!
  23. I think I read that the score was RBS-5, Upperman-3.
  24. Does anyone have information on how this game went?
