  1. We've only had two games so far after 4 scrimmages. We beat CAK 2-0 and Father Ryan 3-0. Our game with McMinn Co. was postponed to next Wednesday because of lightning and rain. In preseason, we beat a team from Maryland, tied Bearden and tied and lost to Farragut. How has FRA been doing?
  2. Knox Catholic (3) v. Father Ryan (0).
  3. Farragut is definately not down this year. They have reloaded from last year and are ready to go. Bearden however is down but I wouldn't count on a blow out in this game. Farragut Bearden is seldom decided on who is better on paper. This game will be very intense even though it may not be as entertaining. Expect a hard fought game. My prediction is a 2 goal win for Farragut if both teams are playing at their best.
  4. The game was postponed due to lightning. It is rescheduled for Wednesday, March 31 at 6:00 at McMinn Co.
  5. Congratulations, Admirals. You beat a very good team. Good luck in the tournament.
  6. Yeah, you could tell that both teams might not have been playing at their top levels. I know that this was true of Catholic. Nonetheless though, it was a well played game, but it was a little hard for both teams with their amount of skill to get anything going on the narrow and small football field. I think if the game had been on CAK's new field the level of play would have been substantially higher out of both teams. Good luck with your season CAK.
  7. As a Catholic player I must say that there are no fields I hate playing at more than CAK's stadium field, which is where I heard the game is tomorrow. Both teams have been and from what I've heard are very equal. However, if there is homefield advantage anywhere in soccer its at CAK with that gigantic crown of theirs. This game will be a great opener for both teams. Goodluck to all.
  8. I'd be willing to bet that mmada's comments are meant to be more sarcastic, and that he knows quite a bit more about this subject than any of us.
  9. downtheadmirals no offense but your remarks are just completely ridiculous. You are over on one thread talking garbage to us that we lost 3-0 today to a great Farragut team and now you are talking garbage to a team that handed it to you last year and in my estimation will again this year. Goodluck to everyone though, season is starting now.
  10. The first game all the goals were scored when both teams were not using subs. Farragut was missin Aaron Doyle and SPencer Bobrowski. Catholic was missin Doug Hall and Daniel Sheridan(starting keeper at the time). This game everyone was playing for both teams and there was not alot of substitutions at all. It was 1-0 at half but we had chances. Second half was where the distance came in. They put one in early and then got their 3rd while we were pushed up. They won. They deserved to win. No excuses. But I'd warn you downtheadmirals, that after playing Bearden, I'd definately say that Farragut ,if they play how they played against us these past two scrimmages, will own Bearden if Bearden does not play better than when we played them. You guys are good though and I wish both teams luck this season. Hopefully one of yall will bring state back to Knoxville again, and we'll try to do so in D2 as well.
  11. No. Sat. morning at Farragut. 10:30am.
  12. hoyas summary of the game is the more accurate one. Gameball's was rather one sided toward farragut. It was a tie but all goals were scored in the first half when both starting sides were on the field. Two of Farraguts guys were out but one of them cannot be considered one of there best at the moment considering he has torn ACL that he is playing on. Catholic also had two starters out and one was the starting keeper. The score shows the game.
  13. Knox Catholic played Bearden tonight to a 2-2 draw. Both teams played their varsity players. They also tied farragut 2-2.
  14. If u are looking for top goal scorers and strength of schedule you have to look at Knoxville. Soccerinfo.com had a strength of schedule section and the top three hardest schedules in the state based on ranking and win and losses for opponents, not in order belonged to Catholic Farragut and Bearden. Two players on Farragut had 30 plus goals and another with 27. Bearden had several 15 plus goal scorers, and Catholic had two 10 plus goal scorers with the toughest schedule in the state last year. All this according to what was on soccer info. Whoever this Jared guy is I'm sure he is a good player but look at the results against FHS and it tells everything about if he can get it done against the best teams. Thats all I got for now.
  15. I'm interested in how many seniors Mcallie and Baylor lost from last season. Where Knoc Cath. lost 2 and only one started, I have no clue about Baylor or Mcallie. I know Baylor lost Silas and he was definately their rock at defense. I'm thinkin Mcallie lost 2 or 3 startes but I'm not sure. Let me know. Anyways I think the top three are accurate, but don't count Webb or Notre Dame out. They are both spoilers. As everyone knows Catholic won the region tourny last year but they did suffer a loss to Webb and ND in the regular season. Good luck everyone.
  16. Jack Sullivan for Knoxville Catholic is by far the best JV player in TN state history. He is incredible. Quick with the ball, and has a real nack for scoring. If his chrome vapors do not blind you, his speed will.
  17. A little old: Knox Catholic 2 Farragut 2.
  18. soccerinfo.com added pre-season rankings to the 04 site today. As stayNskool said, they are the same as last Spring's rankings except there is no Redmond 11 yet. Here's the link: http://www.soccerinfo.com/findhighschooltn04/

    best teams

Gameball, I'm interested in who you play for. Just a inquiry, however u spell it. LCSoccer is right about Oak Ridge though. Rankings don't have to come out to know that a team hasnt gotten its due in the past. They are very good and will be sure to turn some heads this season. I like your comment about my team being underrated although I feel we get the respect we deserve. As for who LCSoccer plays for, its certainly not Oak Ridge. We actually play his team this year. Lenoir City. You may know him as last year's A/AA gatorade player of the year in TN. I wouldn't want him on my bad side when he's suiting up to play against me. Anyways, flyingV I look forward to playing against u tomorrow, and Mr. lcsoccer, you know its going down when u walk into the Irish Den this year.
  20. While ODP gave him higher status, his increased skill no doubt came from other areas besides ODP. His rectuiting by Memphis also came from being spotted in club tournaments from what I am told. But his success in ODP did get his name out there. Don't forget and I know you're familiar with this PSAFour. Many players who would be on the TN state team don't try out bc they know that TN does not get a fair look when it comes to being selected for regional and national teams. We just don't bc our reputation for soccer is bad. But it is a way to get your name out there.
  21. Well Old SKool I don't think i look like Justin Timberlake, but I do dance and sing better than him however.
  22. I haven't seen any official pre-season rankings for 2004. Here's a link for the final rankings in AAA, A/AA, DII and the Redmond Top 11 for 2003: http://www.soccerinfo.com/findhighschooltn03/
  23. jc1 is correct in everything he said except I would go as far as to say he is the best player in TN. Him getting signed to Memphis was no long shot. He was recruited by Vanderbilt and Providence to name a few other top schools. Whatever his reasons for not playing are his own, but I'm sure it's not because he is scared of getting hurt. PSAFour probably has the reasoning down when he said Adam will benefit more from working by himself and with his club.
