  1. Your right Fletch will be the starter, but i'm sure Nunley will put some pressure on him. McCray does like to use more than one back so Nunley will see action right away. And my main man Joe Howard is gonna be blockin for both of them from his fullback position. 3's up!!!
  2. I've heard news that Coffee Co. standout rb Jake Nunley is now going to Austin Peay. That is good news for the Govs. I guess the scholarships that will be available the following season and the really good chance to start at RB right away there looked to good to pass up.
  3. I know exactly who your talkin about. I thought he was older when i was there, i didn't realize he had 2 more seasons left. hopefully they'll find a few more good linemen to help him out. they'll have a strong running game with the guy who came in as a freshman last year back, along with that huge fullback. hopfully they'll develop some receivers and be able to move the ball efficiently.
  4. are you calling the guy who posted the above paragraph a liar? i know a few of the people rankin met with to change their addresses, and your calling everybody involved a liar? Do you think this did not happen?
  5. all that you say is true, and i agree with you on everything. those players that snuck out, went out my good friends window who tried to talk them out of doing it. but the players involved are not coach mcray's "guys". there was a huge lack of discipline on that team, but for the most part, they have moved on out. getting a new offensive coordinater is also a very good move. but the move i like best is moving coach eastman to def. coordinater. he probably cares about his job more than any coach i've been around. he is a very diligent person and works very hard for the players. i respect him very much, and i know he won't be at apsu long because there are many opportunities ahead of him.
  6. Well, the team i played for hasn't played them in a long time. and i have no reason to lie about you. I wish Riverdale was just winning every year with the talent produced only in the community. That would be cool. Too bad thats not the case. Oh, by the way, either your just ingorant of everything, or your the one who needs to work on the lieing.
  7. haaaaaaaahahahahaha!!!! This is America, and everyday punks get away with alot of crap. good point.
  8. I did read it, and made a response earlier. The only thing i gather from it is that riverdales already recruited the talent away from those schools and thats why their records are low. You know most teams have one or two down years every once in awhile.
  9. yeah well its not every day a player like todd howard just moves to the boro and play at riverdale, i mean, why is it the best atheletes always end up at the already established powerhouses?(not just riverdale, but abi ramsey somehow ended up in shelbyville?) ha, i guess its just all a coincidence! but wait, howard ended up back at cookeville? its so funny to see you people act like your team is innocent. in fact, i do "know" about rankins offer to the freshman who were to be at blackman when it opened. but your right, never been proven, but before you say that, is it not possible for people to associated with TSSAA to be just as corrupt to let these things slide?(such as taped phone calls) I think it is. anyway, you guys can keep enjoying your success because i'm not tied to any high school team anymore and could care less. But i always like to reveal what i know, and it makes for good argument and conversation material.(not to mention how funny it is to see you guys act like your coach has a halo over his head in the coaching world.)
  10. your right, some years it can take a couple guys from cookeville and various other towns to win a state title.
  11. It is comical. maybe you didn't get the sarcasm in my post. but the truth is, i'm sure riverdale had more to offer "juicy" than blackman did.
  12. So are you saying for a player like that its a good idea to use a school as a stepping stone before going on to a bigger better program? Maybe Blackman should have tried signing him to a longer term deal with more benefits so they could have kept him for four years. I guess Riverdale just made a better offer. lol I wonder when the day comes where every decent athelete starts to do that what it will be like. Maybe players when they first go to a school they'll let the coaches and teamates know they only plan to stay for 2 years before they go to bigger and better things! Now thats being a real team player! I hope he didn't transfer to help the practice squad give the 1st teams a real good look so they can be better prepared to win the state again. Sure there are other reasons to leave a school and find a better situation, but i really doubt that that is the case in most instances. This just looks like a classic situation where the grass apears to be greener on the other side of the fence. I'm sure Riverdale coaches prolly had no prior interaction in this particular situation with the player or the players dad.
  13. I just think its sad when a kid spends the first part of his career with a team, starting out with his freshman year with the program, and then when things go a little bad, just run off to a bigger better program. It just shows that it was never about the team to that player(or the players parents) because he just left his teamates(or friends) high and dry, basically saying that they weren't good enough for him. I was on a struggling team in high school but i would never have left my friends behind because i loved my team and cared about the program and wanted to try and make it better, rather than just seeking an all ready stacked program. I just think its selfish. It all shows that they're just in it for themselves and only care about themselves and they never cared about the team they were on before.
  14. Yet another sad story in the history of Riverdale's successful recruiting. the state of tennessee's evil empire strikes again.
  15. don't forget Bo Schoebel. they also expect big things from him next year. I think that Juqua Thomas is still on the team as well.
  16. O.k. i was mistaken on last years game with UTM. But i definatley agree that they're gona really struggle in 2006. heck, they're gona strugle in the Pioneer league next year, with the loss of almost every starter at DB and wide out. they will be depending on alot of freshman next year. But i have confidence that Coach McCray will get this team on the right track if given enough time. He is one of the classiest coaches i've been around. As for my boys at APSU, who i'll prolly be heading up to visit this weekend, good luck in your seasons to come and work hard as heck now. it would be a great thing if that group could come out and be competitive right away in 2 years.
  17. well, having not known anything of the situation before seeing the news, i didn't like the trade, but if you put it that way, it does make sense. I have lots of confidence in titans office people. i can't wait to see who they get in the draft. thumb
  18. well, the fact that APSU had a chance to win the game late in the 4th both the past 2 years is remarkable considering that apsu has no football scholarships.(2 years ago they missed and extra-point that would have sent the game to overtime.) As a former player, I wouldn't say that the PFL is a joke either, teams like Dayton, Morehead St., and Valpo had very good teams that could have competed well in the OVC the last two years. (Valpo even has a rec. who will prolly be signed to an NFL squad in the pre-season.) I have alot of friends there who will play there senior years in the OVC and i am excited for them, i hope they work hard and compete well in that conference.
  19. i dont' like it, they got rid of a quality D-end who was as productive as Jevon Kearse the year before Kearse got dealt. Not only that, Hall is now a real veteran that this already young team needs, they just made a very young team younger and less experienced.
  20. i like the possibility of that draft. hopefully if a pick comes down to 2 or 3 players, they'll go with the SEC product.
  21. Lincoln Co. beat Coffee 2-0 in similar fashion. That pitcher is just dominant. Coffee managed only 1 hit off of her. If she stays on top of her game, they will contend for state.
  22. They won't draft a running back in the first round. remember, they got chris brown in the third round. There will be quality back-up runnning backs in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds i'm sure. There first two picks should definitly be at playmaking positions, CB or WR. I hope it all works out for them in this draft, but from what i know about the front office people for the Titans, they will do a good job selecting the right players for the team.
  23. i think coffee won 3-2. can anyone back this up?
  24. well, i'm not sure what the records for all the teams are so far, but Coffee County is 3-0 in the district going into tonights game with Columbia. Could somebody post the district and overall records for all district 8 teams to this point? And do the results of the season so far change any of your predictions?
  25. i'm pretty sure they're still playing, i just talked to somebody who is going down to manchester who would prly know if the game was canceled or not.
