Baserunr - I can honestly tell you that my mentioning the batter staring me down was only small talk with the reporter. I had no idea that it was going in the paper, and I'm not sure how relevant it was to the story in the first place. The girl that gave the look wasn't even the one that got hit. Of the two batters that I hit, one had her hands over the plate which puts them in the way of riseballs and the other was hit by a pitch that just slipped (I'll admit that she was very far off the plate). Accidents happen, and, as everyone else has pointed out, it makes no sense to purposefully put a runner on base in a one run ballgame. My apologies to the girls that were hit. Megan

Personally, I think that Gary Davis is a great pitching instructor. His teaching style is great,and he gives quality time to every girl in the class. I have been with him for about 6 or 7 years and haven't regretted one minute of it.

I played for the Nashville Eagles this summer. Everytime we played the Blitz I remember that it was a tough game.

Amanda Derrick doesn't get half of the recognition she deserves. I was so impressed with her in Illinois. She consistently plays her hardest and is definitely one of the strong points of Father Ryan's team. And to ezellsoftball04 - ezell didn't lose that much respect, if any, and I thought you did a great job of working with what you had after losing Jennifer. Playing ya'll is always one of the highlites of the season.

I remember her now. I would have to agree that she is a good player. She robbed us of some would be good hits to centerfield, so she's got my good vote.
