Yes, the strikeouts (Ks) for the 2003 season are 559 with 69 in the state tournament. The 69 Ks in this year's tournament (4 games) will surpass Sarah Meek's 65 Ks from last year (5 games) for the state record. Megan Rhodes now has 1,305 strikeouts for her career. David Lipscomb did very well in the tournament tied for 3rd place with Auburn, AL. Pool play 1-1 and Single elimination 4-1. Megan pitched 3 games on Saturday with wins over Greenbrier 1-0, Austin 3-0, and Buckhorn 2-1. She had 65 strikeouts for the tournament including 18 Ks against Hartselle, AL on Friday in 11.2 innings.

I understand that Unicoi won the 2A 2002 TN State Championship with several of former slow pitch players; Is that correct? Also, I saw on a previous post that Unicoi should be favored to repeat as 2A Champ in 2003. I thought that they graduated several Seniors, or are they just reloading?

If I understand the previous post, then Gibbs area recreational league is slowpitch. Is that correct; and how many girls do they have in their rec. league at what age range?
