  1. Seems he is a bigger man than you, your team, and your coach, who displyed so much character during your last game. CLASSY! Grow up! Just play the game in the way it should be played, with your mouth shut. Soccer411 you seem to be an angry person every time I read one of your posts you are trying to defend your team or trash someone elses. Do you think you should maybe try some anger management classes? Chill! Your team is good.
  2. Which team is 3and 11? Columbia or Red Bank? Also doesn't the team that wins Sat. go to State?
  3. Yankee without you the team wouldn't have the wins. It takes a whole team but you are the one that has most of the pressure and the whole team has such confidence in you and it gives them the confidence to push themselves and since you are doing everything you can they want to also. You are an awesome player and haven't received the reconition you deserve. Keep leading your team. Whatever happens next your team has had success.
  4. If they choose anyone from Columbia it will be the person who got the most hits. That is what their coach goes by. Ha!
  5. I heard Rachel Gobble interested.
  6. Mario plays for Whitthorne during the school season and an MBA team for AAU. I think its the Nashville Stars.
  7. Does anyone have the schedule for the 17 and Under substate tournament in Fayetteville the weekend of the 25th? Please post if you know.
  8. Bryan Cartmell Columbia Central!!!
  9. Bryan Cartmell from Columbia had more saves the other night than others do in 4 years. Brentwood fans were impressed and Columbia's know how good he is. Great job!!!
  10. Does anyone know of any individual camps going on this summer in the midstate area? Team camps are fine but we need to work on individual skills. Thanks.
  11. Whitthorne is loaded with talent. Super team.
  12. Who's McBee? You have got to be kidding. Not only those mentioned above but Chase Richardson, Tristan Fletcher,Eric and Justin on Giles county team and almost the entire Columbia team, will let you know. New to basketball in the midstate are you? [Edited by flyer on 3-5-03 5:39A]
  13. How is Alston Enyard above the Walker kid when he is the 7th or 8th man off the bench and Walker starts? Walker also is the kid who hit 10 3's isn't he? Enyard is an athlete but not the same caliber player Walker is at the PG position.
  14. Not hatin on the cats just the refs.
  15. Talk about sportsmanship. You truly show it. Stick to golf because you obviously don't play bball. They knew this was going to be a big game why did they not try to get the college gym? They would have truly profitted from it. At least when your team was in Columbia there was no question about calls. Or you would have responded. Have a great respect for Howard, and Fletcher they were coached by a Columbian this summer. It sort of what makes these games so good because the teams played uner the same coach on the same team and have the same style of play. You don't have to be ugly on here, just making a comment.
  16. Columbia was cheated out of this game in the last seconds of regulation play when Sparkman was fouled. Home cooking has never been so obvious. Good game by both. Giles needs another facility.
  17. Please get in touch with Gene McBee tomorrow. 931-381-0344. He needs a fax for John and needed to inform you on a player.
  18. Don't like where you sit stay at home. The top of the CHS gym is as high as your last seats on your bottom section of your home gym. Cheering for your team and being annoying are two different things. Billy Bob the Bearded Boy sounded like he had a thing for Wadale. (oink) Continuously saying his name was annoying to the fans but apparently not to Wadale since he scored 30pts. Cheering and taunting are two different things. That was taunting. The refs were totally all about taking Central out of this game if they could. They even said something to our white kid who is Mr. Calm about controlling his emotions. If they could have given an award for geting away with the most walks L'burg would have won hands down. Sister you don't need to be looking at anyone but yourselves, at being rude fans. It is all over so many of these posts and all the surrounding teams know how your fans are and some of the coaches you have now who played elsewhere remember. I have to say this year is better than it has been and it is probably because your players have acted better.
  19. Mr. Reed it is time to give this job of officiating up. The calls you made the statements you made to and about players and to the fans were very unprofessional and just ridiculous. If you don't like Columbia's team, fans, or whatever has to do with them don't call their games. It was very obvious you have a grudge against them and I hope you get lots of calls to the TSSAA about the way you handled yourself.
  20. The boys from Columbia Central. Eric Howard from Giles can be put in in with them he was taught by McBee also. In AAU they showed this and it has continued into their play now.
  21. Joey Knight (freshman last year) Rookie of the year. Highpoint. Scored 40 against Vandy this year. Played at Columbia Central.
  22. You are exactly right. Couldn't have said it better. Question for some of the parents of the players. Some of you want your daughters to play at the college level. If they get there, are you gonna whine about how they are treated and try to tell the coach what to do or go to the A.D.? Parents of some of these girls want to win but they sure don't want their kids to work to hard or be told the truth about what they need to do to get better. They would never be able to play for teams like Shelbyville or Lawrenceburg because their parents couldn't take it. When this job was posted only about two people even applied because they knew they would get no support from the administration and probably parents. The administration wants only coaches they can control and that is why they will never get a state championship in any sport. The only reason they came so close in softball is because the team had played together so long under Bernard Childress. Their softball coach knew nothing of this team during the summers except what he read and heard, and also the administration had not coached this sport before and did not try to intervene. The success they had when Harlow was there was because he didn't allow them to tell him what to do and even though they tried he did what he wanted. The A.D. needs to come off his power trip and resign and the principal needs to butt out of the coaching aspect. There definitly needs to be a change at these places before the athletics at Central can get any better. Way to go Santel. No one should have to put up with what you have. 23. Took you a while to think up all that garbage because none of it is true. You also need some glasses if you thought the visitors side or student section was not full. Fred a girl? Let him hit you just once on the field. Like I posted before it was just the sign about a matter you know nothing about that was not appropriate. Make all the signs you want, if you think that will help your team, because you apparently think they need all the help they can get. What they need to do is learn some skills and not play so dirty like they did against Giles Co. and many others. Your athletics must be one of the most hated in this area because I never hear anything nice from anyone who play you because you talk trash and have to make up for the way you play by trying to take the other players out. No class. Let it drop and just play good basketball.
  24. Zac Walker, Columbia Central. Isn't a big scorer yet, even though he can shoot the lights out when he needs to, but can handle the ball, and his passes are awesome. He plays a mean defense and can also jump. Sees the court exceptionally well. Calm and controlled when he is on the court. Doesn't play like a soph.
