  1. let's examine this situation. If you are willing to gamble your future by selecting the high school you attend based on their football program, get used to saying, "would you like fries with that sir?". If the best player in the state fails to qualify to get into college, a "RING" will get him notta. Although, you will have something to talk about with your 15 year old manager at mikie-dees.
  2. As far as play-offs, a winning record is a winning record. Although, scheduling a weak non-region schedule may not strengthen your program, it may lead to higher standings within the region.
  3. Red Rash Settle down and take your nerve pills. As a basic concept, "anyone CAN beat anyone on any given Friday". There are always exceptions to the rule. I am sure that we can look throughout history and find evidence for this. And your intellect bamboozles me! Wow, You had an original thought expressed by your statement, "Red Neck I mean Byrd West couldn't beat Maryville on Friday, Monday,Thursday or any other day of the week." CONGRATS!
  4. Here we go again! Schedule Shmedule. Just about any team can beat any other on any given Friday night. Dulweed can't even spell football, or is that butt-pad?

I don't understand either. Especially this year! I thought that they had talent and before the season started, got rid of the only "bad" coach they had.
  8. How do these teams get established as "national powers" ? Does it have anything to do with playing other "national powers", or is it a longevity thing?
  9. Dilweed, your are kicked out of this thread and the next one. Your'e a real team player and leader!
  10. Don't be so sure Dullweed. Ask Murvul(Maryville) what "over-looking" a team will do. If Halls spots Hidden Valley (as you so snidely call them) 14 points, they may not be able to get their big red offensive machine in a high enough gear to overcome. In addition, I don't think Walker Valley has the fax number at Halls.
  11. Alcoa and Heritage are winning games? They are the constituents of a tough schedule?
  12. It's not quantum physics but the Earth is the world.
  13. Unless the "playbook" can suit up and play OL it ain't gonna matter. If Halls D can keep up their tough play, it may be an interesting game. If both teams could field all Halls Alumni, who would win then?
  14. TO ALL OF YOU SHEEP: BLAH BLAH BLAH ! Who else EXCEPT anyone from Maryville cares? Yes, they are really good. Yes, they have a tough line. Yes, They are VERY well coached in all aspects of the game. And I am sure the kids are great kids to coach BUT Football is trendy, so to speak. IN OTHER WORDS, "what goes around, comes around" So, believe it or not, the "MIGHTY REBS" will not always be as "SUPERIOR" as they are now. STOP TOOTING YOUR HORNS, COME DOWN TO EARTH AND ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN.
  15. I'll say the rain is in Halls' favor. Farragut will probably have to keep it on the ground. I heard Halls had ALOT of skilled players in the defensive backfield, but have really been undercoached since they lost their DB coach to Central. Who is the new coach anyway? I heard he was a reject from Anderson county. Probably couldn't keep his recruit ratio up enough for Cur.
  16. Why does Maryville stay within the confines of Blount county (Heritage, Willie Blount, Alcoa) with non-region games and not play other nationally ranked teams? Not trying to be disrespectful to the rebs, but their success is not recent. If they played teams like Trinity, Moeller, or Independence their stock would surely go up. What do ya think? Not trying to be disrespectful to the rebs,
  17. Would you consider this a criminal act if you were in the emergency room having your son/daughter stitched up?
  18. Maryville. Any Blount County stadium. The Refs play by a different set of rules.
  19. Not so dilweed. I have to disagree. I think the deciding factor will be, " who is the best dressed coach?" If swafford can find a neck tie to cover his belly, he may take the much coveted title of being best dressed.
  20. MSGOV If you took the time to "read" the message board, you would have noticed "Knox Halls". As for the computer part, I agree!! I heard they still had typing classes at Halls. Anyone who had a typing class in high school has got to be atleast 75 or 80 years old.
