    Soddy vs Lincoln Co

Look at it this way,you can't pad the score. I don't know any college coach that payees attention to high school stats.
  2. When was the last time Coffee went to State?
  3. Congratulation's you were wright, the road to the Spring Fling did go through Manchester but it made a U-turn. Hope you can get your foot out of your mouth.
  4. I was wondering also, what top rated Team have you betten or what teams with a winning record? Just curious I think Coffee is good not sure how you would measure up against some top teams.
  5. District play is half over and I don't think Riverdale has been scored on. Is the district that weak or is Riverdale that dominant. I don't think the other schools will lay down but not to score a run. I wonder.
  6. I have not been on this site for a long time and I see nothing has changed.
  7. How many times has coffee county bet tullahoma the last 2 years.
  8. If you are still looking for scrimmages may I suggest MTSU, LIPSCUMB, TREVECCA, CUMBERLAND, VOL STATE and AUSTIN PEAY. I think they would give you some competition although their pitching and hitting probably is not as strong; after all you are THE UNIVERSITY OF RIVERDALE. I think all the schools are within an hours drive.
  9. POOL PLAY Buckhorn Ala. - 2 Tullahoma - 0 Tullahoma - 1 Giles Co. -0 Tullahoma - 7 Germantown - 0 Father Ryan - 2 Coffee Co. - 1 White House - 3 Coffee Co. - 0 Hixson - 4 Coffee Co. - 0 Antioch - 5 Shelbyville - 1 Siegel - 3 Shelbyville - 0 Shelbyville - 9 Lewis Co. - 4 Columbia Central - 6 Portland - 1 Columbia Central - 10 McMinn Co. - 1 Columbia Central - 14 Hunters Lane - 0 Friendship Christian - 5 Franklin Co. 0 Oakland - 2 Franklin Co. 1 Franklin Co. - 7 Pope John Paul - 4 SINGLE ELIMINATION Round 1 Franklin County over Tullahoma Coffee County over Macon St. Benedict over Shelbyville Columbia Central over Blackman Round 2 Columbia Central over Gallatin Decatur over Franklin Riverdale over Coffee County Round 3 Columbia Central over Cumberland County Round 4 Hixson over Columbia Central (Columbia final eight) Franklin County - won 2 lost 3 Tullahoma - won 2 lost 2 Coffee County - won 1 lost 4 Shelbyville - won 1 lost 3 Columbia - won 6 lost 1 **Columbia played better than the other 8AAA teams that I saw. Where was Lincoln County??
  10. How Coffee would play Riverdale in the event that they meet during the season has been a forgone conclusion since before the season started. When Coffees new coach took over Riverdale was dropped from their schedule and every Tournament Coffee enters, their coach tells the tournament director not to place Coffee and Riverdale in the same pool or brackets because the COFFEE COUNTY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION WILL NOT LET THEM PLAY RIVERDALE WITH COACH BREEDEN, in the event they should meet, Coffee would play their JVs or leave the field unless they meet in the regionals. You said Coach Floyd was smart by not wanting to show his assets early and did not want to give Raider 1 the opportunity to learn how to pitch around some of Coffees big sticks. You are kidding, Raider 1 has coached all of these girls for many years and I think he knows their strengths and weaknesses. From a coaching point of view I would of played Riverdale with my varsity, win or loose, to gain the experience and learn how to play them now in the event they meet in the regionals. Coffee knows a lot less about Riverdale. I believe your reasons and it being a mental problem with some of the players is an excuse the coaching staff can use to divert the controversy from them because the new coach is following orders. Politics in Coffee County rules. Coffee county lost a coach who spent over 12 years building one of the most respected programs in the state and on April 17, 2004 in Lincoln County they lost something else: 1. RESPECT 2. INTEGRITY

    8AAA and ERA

Saw Coffee play in the Beech and Hendersonville tournament. I think they are a good team. They are not in the class of Soddy-Daisy, Beech, Goodpasture or David Lipscomb. 1. The infield is solid. 2. The outfield looked average. (Saw a lot of drop balls in left field, missed played balls in right field and balls hit the green that should have been caught.) 3. The pitching is strong as long as Catalano can pitch. No depth. Should anything happen to here the season is over. 4. There are four seniors that must step up and hit the ball like they are capable of, or they won't even be an average team. 1. Shelbyville 2. Tullahoma 3. Coffee County 4. Lincoln County 5. Columbia 6. Franklin County 7. Lawrence County

    Top players in 8-AAA

I think Coffee County has a lot of talent led by Toombs at SS and Turner at 2B, best in the state. I also like Laken Barnes (a lot of speed) in CF from Tullahoma and Toni Jenson from Shelbyville is a no brainier. Can't wait for play to begin. Hardcore lay off ERA until early March, just watch everything he posts.
  13. Toombs at shortstop and Turner at 2nd base are division I, big time players. Turner covers everything from 1st base to 2nd base with exceptional quickness and a big time arm. Toombs has a cannon, which enable her to play deeper than most short stops, and gets to balls that most short stops can't. Not only can they play defense they can take you down town in a hurry.

    Coffee County

Hardcore - Lets wait until March before making any predictions on 8AAA. That will give ERA enough time to compile all his information for the yearly prediction. The one fact ERA did not mention was that in the district tournaments Coffee went to COLUMBIA and won a double header to win the district and with only 2O players returning, I guess Breeden will have to rebuild this year. Hardcore I am like you, I never knew Russ˜s last name, and everyone I knew called him the BIG GUY. I never wanted to argue with him. Three or four years ago I was playing the Lady Raiders in a tournament at Columbia when the umpire told Russ to call the coin toss. The game was late getting started, the umps were in a hurry and evidently I was not paying attention and the Big Guy called HEADS I˜M HOME and Tails YOUR VISTORS. The coin landed on tails and RUSS said were home and took the field. Around the 3RD inning I began thinking about the call and I knew I had been had. I asked the umpire if he remembered what BIG GUY called at the coin toss, he thought for a minute, laughed and said I needed to be on my toes when playing the RAIDERS. After the game, which we lost, we were shaking hands when the umpire came over and asked Russ to explain the coin toss to him, The Big Guy smiled laughed real loud and said Gentlemen isn˜t this a fun game. You know he was right, this game should be fun. Hardcore be careful what you ask for, if you want Russ to answer you.
