Alright folks, the rematch we've all been waiting for. Will the I-Train be the difference this time around? Or will Riverdale continue its roll at home? Let's have it...

It will be a tough, hard-fought battle in an extremely packed stadium tomorrow night. Both teams are very hot right now and playing their best football of the year. Both backs will play well on the big stage, yet nothing will come easy. The Blackman QB will have a few big pass plays to keep the defense honest. Smyrna's QB will do it with both his feet and his arm. Mathers will see some success out of the Wildcat, however, and will be the deciding factor. A clutch kick by Blackman's kicker at some point in the game will prove to be the difference. Expect Blackman to prevail in the end with a score of 24-21.

Yes Alsup took the blaze down to the Pit and won in 2001 as well as blowing out the Falcons the next year at BHS. Alsup has done many things for high school football in this town and the record shows in the win column and with the men's lives he has shaped over the years. So Bhsblaze09 that makes it 3 wins against LC.

Are you sure about that? Because i remember the Blackman secondary they had back in the earlier days with Rico Turner and Ralph Stembridge and it was VERY fast and athletic.

Quite possibly. Interesting to note: Alsup leaves bhs and they don't win a game. He goes to siegel and forms a pretty stout defense. Alsup will always be a Pat in my heart. One of the most (if not THE most) influential men this city has ever seen at the high school level (in both playing and coaching). But i do expect the stars to be better next year - however the offense must step up. Afterall, they do seem to acquire ex-patriots.

It is quite amazing if you think about it. Depth issues have been of great concern since siegel opened up. Blackman had to bring their freshmen squad up this year, and I think we all remember the 30 some odd players the pats had last year! It was just a bad down year, but next year things could get really interesting in the boro! I'm glad wc was able to get the victory. afterall, they need something to talk about around town (town?) ha! gives them something to do.

your exactly right region. In 4 years you should finally be able to make the playoffs! what else is there to do out there than play football! Anyways, blackman isn't where it should be, but it is hard when you have to live up to standards such as making the playoffs your first 2 years in 5A ball! I have a feeling they will be back soon having only about 6 starters graduating. With that said it want be long either before siegel and oakland will be ahead of wc in the standings. Only 4 seniors total for Oakland! All of these teams are young! Enjoy the playoffs while you can!

rico had some of the best raw talent, the kid was awesome! i think he was better than ralph the king, just didn't have that huge great line king was oh so fortunate to have at the dale. i think he has been one of the best since locke. but we've had a few others as well in king, knight, chesterfield, alsup.....
