I was wondering if someone could post updates during the big Shelbyville-Overton game tonight in Region 5-4A. If someone is listening on the radio tonight and can give an update or two each quarter, that would be great! I know I would appreciate it. The winner of this game will probably make the playoffs, while the loser has virtually no shot at getting in. Should be a good one. My pick: Shelbyville 27, Overton 17

Just wondering where I can find the weekly AP polls for the Tennessee rankings in all classifications? I know they come out on Monday or Tuesday each week, but I can't find a website that lists all the polls. Thanks.

Wow, this should be a good one. Columbia's offense has been rolling pretty good all year and Shelbyville's defense has come around and is playing great. I think Shelbyville has a little more talent and is hungry for getting its first home playoff game in over 6 years. This game could determine 2nd place in Region 5-4A. I'll say Shelbyville 24, Columbia 16. Should be fun and it's just another chapter to add to a very historic rivalry between these middle Tennessee cities. Anyone know of a Columbia radio station that will have a link to listen on the Internet? I would love to know if there is. Thanks and good luck to both teams.

Can someone tell me where the District 11-A Tournament is being held at? I've heard both Winchester and Chapel Hill. Thanks.

The second place team in the tournament would then get the other region bid. Of course, the winner of the tournament hosts a region game, so if Coffee County does not win the tourney they will go on the road in the region. Should be a good one. Can someone post the schedule of the tourney when they get all the info. Thanks.

Great game! Tullahoma got a run in the top of the seventh to take a 3-2 lead, but left the bases loaded after that. Shelbyville then got a two-RBI single from catcher Cory Curlee with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to win it. The throw from left field was perfect to the Tullahoma catcher, but the ball was dropped, allowing Shelbyville to sneak by with an exciting win. Two very good teams that will probably meet again in the District 8-AAA Tournament.

After losing its first 5 games of the season, Shelbyville got its first win in the District 8-AAA opener against visiting Columbia 4-3 in nine innings Tuesday night. Great game! Shelbyville left 8 or 9 runners on base and Columbia left 6 or 7 as well. Both teams fought hard and it was a well-umpired game, if I may say so. These guys don't get enough credit, and there were no complaints tonight. Adam Bates' slice single down the right field line scored the game-winner from second base in the bottom of the ninth. These 2 teams meet again tomorrow in Columbia. Should be another good one.

Absolutely right! It was over when they tipped it off. Shelbyville had revenge on their mind from last year and they played like they wanted to send everyone in the state a clear message. It was a complete mismatch! It looks like they're well on their way to yet another gold ball.

Shelbyville's Eaglettes made a statement with a 95-20 blowout over visiting Oakland in their Region 4-AAA opener. Evidently, revenge from last year's region semifinal loss to Oakland was the chief motivating factor tonight. Alex Fuller had 30 and Ashleigh Newman had 24 for Shelbyville. The Eaglettes had 31 points in the 4th quarter and Oakland only had 20 the entire game. I wouldn't want any part of the Eaglettes in the tournaments. They are playing unbelievable! Shelbyville takes on district rival Lawrence County at 4:00 Wednesday afternoon at the Murphy Center in the region semis.

Is there anyone that can update these scores in Eagleville tonight? How did the Eagleville-Wayne County girls game and the Summertown-Richland boys game turn out? THANKS

I agree, Trooper, you cannot look at just one game to determine the coach of the year. A young team like the Eagles that finished second after losing 3 key starters from last year's state tourney team obviously needed great coaching to get where they're at. Not to take anything away from Coach Collie, but he continually is loaded with way more gifted athletes than anyone else in the district. That said, congrats to Columbia on yet another impressive season in District 8-AAA. By the way, in my opinion, it turned out better for Shelbyville in the region brackets with both Columbia and Oakland on the other side. However, the Eagles will still have their hands full with Riverdale and potentially Blackman. Should be interesting. Way to go Coach Thomas and good luck to the Eagles in the region!

Can anyone list the standings in Boys District 11-A, 12-A, 7-AAA and 8-AAA? I'm curious as to where these districts stand heading into the tournaments. Thanks.
