CBHS and S. Panola played twice in the mid 90s, splitting the home and home. That would be great if we could get them and some other southeast powerhouse programs to come.

What kind of expectations do the brothers have this year? Anyone know much about this years team other than Chris Walker being one of the best linebackers in the state?

havent seen mba play this year and the two teams havent played a common opponent yet. anyone have some detailed thoughts on how this one will play out?

im not trying to start anything with you guys. the refs were bad and having to have refs w/ cbhs ties is not either teams fault, its sad that we cant find any refs that dont have connections to teams playing in the game. it was a great game by two teams giving everything they had. to # 13, i did not mean to attack you,but from the stands it did appear that you kicked a cbhs player while standing over him. if you didnt well then i apologize, but if you did, i would call that a dirty play.

the officials may have not called a good game, but not all 5 penalties you got were their fault and what looked like a kick you gave a cbhs player was not their fault either. you may not be a dirty player all the time, but tonight it appeared that you did play dirty.

mus winning by 3 gives them a one goal advantage and they will have the number one seed from the west if both teams dont lose another division game which should not be a problem for both teams.

i wont deny cbhs having some bad attitudes over the years, but i was proud of them playing a clean game tonight and keeping their heads when the game could have gotten out of hand. really both teams did a good job of keeping their heads other than # 13, his dirty play ruined what was a great game.

the game was very exciting, mus got up 7-2 and cbhs made a comeback and got it to 7-6 w/ less than 5 to play. the momentum changed when #13 for mus got 5 penalties in about a span of 3 minutes and was ejected from the game. cbhs then went on a 4-0 run. whoever he is he owes his teammates an apology b/c he let cbhs back in the game. he was the dirtiest player for mus that i have ever seen and i have been watching mus cbhs games since 94. i doubt coach dent will allow that to happen again. mus controlled most of the game and deserved to win. dan gibson was the difference tonight. i think he had 4 goals and a couple of assist. good luck to both teams and hopefully we will see you again w/ the brothers coming out on top.

got beat straight up. supposedly the team was running after the game on their own and not being forced by the coaches.

i definately think that mus and mccallie having solid coaches for a long time now have really helped them and now i think that cbhs has a good coach and hopefully he is there to stay and from what you say the mba program is in good hands. usn has had a solid coach and that has made that program competitive and hopefully other teams can find good coaches that are here to stay and the state competition can get less top heavy.

darn i didnt realize that mba hadnt won since 94, with all the great teams yall have had that surprises me, i think coach dent being the best coach in tenn makes up for his mus teams maybe not being as good as some of those mba teams.

thats right, i was thinking about the right school year, but the lacrosse championship was played in spring of 95.

cant really argue w/ that list, but are you sure that was the 94 mba team b/c i think 94 was the year cbhs won its lone championship and beat mba in the finals.

always good to see tenn teams beat out of state teams. i saw where mba only beat webb by 2, was that game really that close? and cbhs beat houston 5-3 in a sloppy game by both teams.

yea his brother nick was an all state attackmen on the 94 championship team and then was the cbhs coach for 3 years from 01 to 03.

chris morrison from the 98 cbhs team was actually an attackmen and i would also add matt martini also an attackmen from that 98 cbhs team. matt played at lynchburg. this thread is kind of misleading because everyone is going to put players from the recent past, these players may be better than the players from the mid to late 90s because lacrosse is now bigger in tenn, but i think you still have to count the older players for waht they did in their era b/c they were still the best even though the all around competition might not be as good as it is now. i truly think the cbhs and mus teams from 98 and the mus team from 99 were the best tennessee teams ever.

thomasr, while i am a little younger than you are i have to agree with you and the whole cbhs mus thing. i loved beating yall nd hated losing to you but now some of my friends are those same guys that i played against. i hope these younger guys will realize this.

Great win for cbhs, but come on guys we have been gettin killed by mus and mba and mccallie for about the past 5 years. if we were the 6 time defending champions then maybe you could have some room to talk but we are not. hopefully our new coach has the program back where it is supposed to be and where it was when i first played (which was from 98-02). keep working hard and let your play on the field do the talking and dont make fools of yourselves talking trash about one game.
