Yeah, I agree with Laxguy. I don't think either of them could start for a DI team, but both could definitely see the field at most D2 or D3 schools. Heck, I could've been third-string on a D1 team, and both of those guys are better than me.
  2. Man, Hop is great. How could anybody hate them, Knox? I mean, besides the fact losing to them all the time must stink...
  3. Now wonder at the result then... I kid Ron, I kid. But seriously, Ron''s so old now I'm surprised his creaking bones can still hobble all the way around the arc without tweaking a tendon or something. Oh, did I mention, Ron I'll be seeing you in Summer League.
  4. I wanted Georgetown to win because of Brodie Merrill. He was amazing, all over the place. Everyone knows Harrison's probably got the Tewaraton wrapped up, but it would have been great if they could have gone head to head in the finals. Corno (sp?) was amazing too, he dominated the faceoff. Unfortunately, there just wasn't any good offense going on for the Hoyas and they couldn't take advantage of what should have been a lot of fast breaks provided at the X. Also, I thought Russell was great in his game vs. UVA. His clearing really stood out, and he made lots of big saves. If both Looney brothers were all right Navy would have won easily (his replacement Wallin, was terrible, had 3 or 4 turnovers and really didn't contribute). Hopkins still looks like the odds-on favorite though. Here's to a JHU-Terps finals. Huge rivalry, big game, it will be great. Also, about the ACC looking so dominant, its pretty clear that other teams had off-years this year (Princeton and SU immediately leap to mind), but the talent in that league is amazing.
  5. Please, I'd like to hear some of y'all's thoughts about all this stuff. So feel free to post.
  6. Some things that I have been noticing around this board lately: Redtwin just had to close a whole topic because of the angry vitriol being spewed by some players. The very fact that some of you feel the need to stamp around the board as "King of the Hill" is actually the saddest thing. I mean, I come here in good fun and sometimes like gently ribbing other posters with (what I hope is always seen as) good humor. If anyone here feels I do more than this, I'm sorry, because, if you actually know me, I'm really mellow and don't feel the need to "prove" myself to anybody. I personally feel happy for whichever team won the title this year. I think everyone needs to take a step back and see what a jerk you can look like when you let this stuff get too serious. I mean for goodness sakes, Lacrosse is an awesome sport, but we're just talking about lax here, not actually playing it. My biggest problem is what I see as a lot of anger and retaliation. Now, gloating a little bit is fine, but no one should feel the need to rub anybody's nose in what happened on the field, its bad sportsmanship. I know I seem like I'm picking just McCallie players, but I'm really not. Its just a general tone I detected on this board which really has gotten much worse after the Finals. Most of the sniping seems to be much less humorous, and just much more reactionary, and it makes it not fun to post. Anyway, shouldn't we all just be picking on DII anyway? I mean, those guys stink.

You know, Troy Kemp? Always on the McCallie sidelines? The tornadoes coach? Kinda hard to miss him.

Ah, Henry, my young friend, its from the Latin. Roughly translated: You have touched the matter with a needle. I'm just trolling this board trying to not catch up on all those 9 AM chem lectures I slept through this semester (luckily, I only have two exams, so I've got another week to do all that).
  9. Tennessee Scholastic Lacrosse Association. How the heck do I still remember that?

And Russell, unwittingly, has found the elephant in the room. Namely, where is MBA? Rem Acu Tetigisti, Nenon.
  11. Whats wrong with that?

    Next Year

The biggest problem for MUS is who will step up in goal next year. Any ideas?

I was the goalie for the JV team this year. It was pretty fun.
