  1. Just in...Ooltawah beats Oak Ridge 42-37. Good job Monroe and the boys.
  2. HA HA HA HA!!! So you are saying Satan is a female?
  3. It goes beyond baseball. Deal with it, Mom and Dad.
  4. If he goes to college he needs to get away from Motlow and Tullahoma. Too much to sidetrack him.
  5. That's a long drive from the boro. Hope David Ray pulls it off. GL Cherokees.
  6. Actually, Grad, I heard you were a pretty good lil' ballplayer back in your prime...Not quite as good as me, of course, but you were a close second.
  7. Oh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. So, tell me, on a scale from one to ten (eleven included) how much do you miss me? ...Until next August Your Apprentice Anderson Moe Dee III
  8. I bet if Grad was playing Ooltawah would have won. CHSpanther...do you go by the name "Man Power"?
  9. With the exception of Grad, you are all a bunch of wangzillas. Grad, you receive poopy remarks from me ONLY because you are pretty much the only person on here who I believe knows their head from their hiney. OHS and CHS have a good deal of competition between the two (years past included of course) and I feel inclined to stir things up. Thus, i reveal justification for my sarcastic remarks towards Grad: You, to some extent, represent the OHS to us feble coacht.com posters. However, I find an abyss in knowledge of high school baseball that is shared by yourself (Grad), and find myself often times indulging in opposing reflections in liu of friendly kicks and giggles to be shared amongst the two of us. Therefore, Grad, you help make this site, and OHS athletics, a great place to be. Everyone else is a massive wang-a-lang hole. A few notes... Ooltewah should be playing in Memphis. Top five team in the state. CHS, love em' to death, but will be facing good teams in sub state. Halls is the best team in the state and I do not foresee them losing. However, I will say this: Halls can be outcoached. Polston, please do not quote coacht.com in the News Sentinel. Are you worried about winning or what people think? Memphis always has a sneaky lil' team in the state tourney. Who is it this year? Collierville? I like Seymour or Walker Valley in AA. However, past has proven the (pun)'tangs to fold under pressure. TSSAA should drop DII and A from the program. Not much respect to a team that wins a state tourney consisting of three teams, nor is it fun to see private schools create a monopoly of class A championships.
  10. Yeah, Grad, how did the Owls do tonight?
  11. As I said last night...Payback from 2002. I'm not sure if you got my last post or not; the thread was gone this afternoon when I checked. Levonte did not misplay that ball. He could cover the whole field, and you know this. He lost it in the lights. CF lighting at OHS is poor, or at least was then. Also, although you don't agree, I will restate that Cleveland was one of the top three teams in 2002...Farragut, Cleveland, and Germantown. Farragut was the only one that made it to state and they lost to Laverne in the finals. By the way, you have done an excellent job with the website.
  12. It's going to be a battle. Period. High school baseball at its best.
  13. Anyone know about the Cleveland/McMinn game (or games) tonight?
  14. Please post any info about the Cleveland/Bradley game here.
  15. They are still using the Pony Express in Copper Basin.
  16. Halls went down to Chattavegas and beat an exceptional Ooltewah team.
  17. Halls beat Ooltewah, so whats that say? Besides, why are you worried about knoxville teams? You should be concerned with Soddy and then Riverdale/Tullahoma.
  18. ...Tough judgement call to make. I know this, if there were no outs, the runner should have been declared out. Batter is out for interference only if there are two outs.
  19. Oh yeah...Terri and Gerry Corum always got the big games in that area. One of them is a football coach at McMinn Co and the other works for athens middle school. That's why Cleveland started getting their umps from chattanooga two or three years ago.
  20. I wonder what excuse we are going to hear this time...
  21. Here's a bonehead mistake I made tonight... First, there was a ball thrown behind the batter. The ball hit either the batter or the bat, but I could not tell because I was straightlined (behind the batter, he blocked my view). I called the ball dead and conferred with my field umpire to see what he saw. He said the ball hit the batter first, then hit the bat thus making it a hit batsman. We put him on first and then explained to the defensive coach what we had. Umpiring rule #1-Always get the call right. With all this in mind, the next inning there was another ball behind the batter. This time I saw it hit the bat, and immediately rang the ball foul. Sure enough, I looked up and the ball was rolling towards the pitcher's mound. Surprisingly no one noticed besides myself and my field umpire. It turned out to be a one run ball game for a middle school championship game. I sure as heck felt like an idiot for that one. Two funny things that I have heard other umpires say to coaches: In response to a quirky rule situation that the umpire completely screwed up, "It's a new rule this year coach, you just probally haven't heard it yet." In response to an irrate coach complaining about a judgement call, "I'll tell you the truth coach, I don't even like baseball. I'm just out here to get away from my wife."
  22. All you do is complain about the officiating. You are losing your credibility.
  23. Grad, you really need a girlfriend.
