  1. u gotta add jake miller and graham wilson from scott county. they have combined for 50 on more than one occasion this year. they gotta be in there somewhere.
  2. can scott end their 2 game skid and get back in the mix in the district?
  3. If anybody seen the game they know my jackets were not in a right frame of mind to play anybody that night. We just lost to the tiggggers, and our team chemistry was posioned by outsiders. We were team turmoil for awhile, but now things are humming. The game with Scott was a lot closer than the final score tells. Scott County was lucky and they knew it when they left the field. One more quarter in that one and no doubt the jackets win. Lets go jackets and falcons, smash Scott and expose them for the pretenders they are. And oh yeah, what the heck is a war daddy effort' happy highlander? Ya'll will be loose and agressive- your helmets knocked loose and aggresive gettin' back on da bus. Ha Ha.(just a little humor)
  4. Come on Fulton take care of your business here. You are too talented and strong to let Scott sneak up on you. I know there is no love lost between the Falcons and my Jackets. There is some common ground. We want our region, which I beleive is the most balanced in the state, to be represented in the playoffs by tradition and talent. We would all agree that would be, Kingston, A-E, AC, and Fulton. Don't let a bunch of upstarts spoil everybody's season. They have a couple of weapons, but for all intents and purposes are not a whole team. Their coaching is not the greatest, but their talent level is what you will expose. Their lines are weak and can be pushed around on both sides of the ball. Just line up and go right at 'em and this season will take care of itself, and who knows falcons we may meet again in the big dance. We will take care of our end against Loudon, lets say to the tune of 31-14, you all should win by more than that. Jackets forever and a day!

    Loudon vs. Kingston

Things have begun to turn around at the ole' steamplant. We should have beaten AC. I could see during that game that the chemistry between our coaches, players, and fans had begun to mend. All the distractions are behind us now. A team that against a pretty good (for Scott Co.) Scott team laid down and died, is now prepared to make the playoffs and make a run. Loudon will be the next victim for Vicks boys. Loudon beat Scott last week, as it appears Scott has hit a wall, and with the rest of their schedule they may pull an 0for. Jackets playoff season begins friday as the steam team rumbles over the Redskins. Go get 'em boys!

    Kingston @ OS

Well I have heard all the bellyaching and crying around town I can handle. The consensus among a small group of us true yellerjacket faithful (8) is that we have lost to two pretty good football teams. Rockwood handed Wartburg their first defeat following an emotional victory, and Scott Co. (contrary to reports I had earlier recieved, is much, much, much better than last year) is a contender in the toughest region in the state of Tn. Having said that, we don't wear blue colored glasses. We can see there is a couple problems that need fixin', not the least of which is turnovers. These are all fixable. The one that concerns me the most is the internal turmoil that accompanies tough times like these. We gotta pull together, support our coaches(their not making tackles or turnovers)our kids, and school. The kids hear the griping and they are affected by it. We have got to get our confidence back and that all starts with us (the Fans) being positive and confident. Yea, sometimes we seem a little cocky at the ole' Steamplant, but we have always had a right to be. The swagger returns as Vick's boys skin the cats. Kingston 27 O.S. 13. Go ' jackets! Kingston forever and a day!

    Scott at Kingston

What the heck happened? This was the worst and I mean the worst I have seen the jackets play. I was assured there would be no headache from Rockwood. Oh well the best laid plans of both mice and men oft go astray. There must have been 200 yards in penalties and a dozen turnovers. Things have got to improve at the ole' steam plant. There was no Kingston swagger last night, boys we have got to get our confidence back. The season is young and this region is far, far, far from being decided. Congratulations Scott. You guys flat lined up and played our game. Your Offensive line pushed us around, your backs broke takles, and I think that little qb is still running around out there. Your defense hit us in the nose every play, and down on the goaline it was you guys getting the push and creatin' the pile. I always give credit to whom it is due and ya'll were the better team, tonight. It's a long season, and although ya'll won the battle, it will be interesting to see who wins the war. Jackets forever and a day, Go Blue!

It will go fast and be gone. I left Scott Co. last year with some respect for their gutsy effort against my jackets. I think they went winless or maybe beat a nobody. A buddy I work with whose son is a starter on defense, says they look about the same as last year. He seems to believe they will play hard early , but when a couple breaks go against them, he said they tend to fold. According to him they want to jump on 'em early and take out some left-over business from Rockwood. I really believe that loss will help us in the long run. This is our year. Everbody talks about AC, AE, etc. Well keep in mind what we did to Gibbs a couple weeks ago and this region "foe" will be no different. If Lenoir City pounded Scott I can't help but believe Vick's boys will be done by halftime. Kingston 45 Scott 14 It's only the beginning! Get 'em Jackets!
  10. Ya'll ain't got a bad little team. I always give credit to whom credit is due. enjoy the victory, savour it to it's fullest tigggers. you know you won't be getting many more of those. We do have a legitimate excuse however, my jackets were looking ahead to a "tough" region "rival" in scott co. next week.;weh sorry even i had to laugh on that one. I do kind of feel sorry for the winless highlanders i sure would'nt want to face my jackets next week. we will be just fine thank you.

    York vs Scott

York looked very strong and played physical football. They will be heard from this fall. They outscored Scott 1-0 on a long run. Scott Co. looks much improved from last year. They gave my Yeller' Jackets all they wanted last year and will be more physical and determined this fall. The scrimmage was marred by fights. The officials never seemed to want to get "involved" in the actual officiating of the game. This could be a weakness for York, as I was told by some Oneida fans in attendance that the same sort of actions happened up at their place earlier with York. If York's coaches can get the "X-TRA" curricular stuff under control they could be a contender. All things considered it was worth the drive, hard hitting, aggressive, and exciting. Good luck to both teams.
  12. Congratulations Highlanders. I really felt you were a better team than the record indicated. Against Vic's boys you were obviously well coached, and played very physical. I said then you may be the most physical team the jackets would play and I still feel that way. Hope you win the rest of 'em, but in reality I would say enjoy this one as long as you can because Fulton, Loudon, Austin East, Lenoir City, and Anderson County are a murderer's row. Congratulations again, and go Yeller' Jackets!!!
  13. My Jackets will have to play much harder than they did Friday night to win. No fear, because Vic will have them in the right frame of mind, this time. I was shocked at how well the Highlander's looked friday night. The stage was definitely set for a major upset. I am sure all of Kingston, including myself, was looking past the winless Highlanders. Kudos to their players and coaches, they were well prepared. As a matter of fact, as much as it pains me to admit it, Scott Co. deserved to win. They may turn out to be the most physical team the jackets will play. That bunch will beat somebody they ain't supposed to, they almost did last Friday. Kingston won one they probabley did not deserve, but championship teams always do. Nobody else will be overlooked and the bobcats better be ready 'cause a mad bunch of jackets will be swarming this friday. Count on it.
  14. Everyone talks about AE, AC, and Fulton. Meanwhile Vic and his boys go about their business as usual - WINNING! I admit the Jackets have not been "impressive" so far this year, but all the rust comes off friday night. The hapless Highlanders will be ground up and spit out by the end of the half. Then the jackets will use that practice session to focus its younger players and prepare for the big boys. Nobody believes but the jackets will remain supreme. Count on it.
