Let's see, I'll move on to say that nobody here in Forrest is bitter we are excited that we were able to keep one of our coaches. We would have loved to kept both but we are excited. The summary is you had no idea as who was coming and the judgement is I guess once these guys weighed their options they found that it was not a place for them. So to clear things up, you can't post a job that's not open. It seems Stacey is staying so that means they could not post a job that's not open only a coaching vacancy to be filled by a staff coach already there.

I'm curious about this too. Do you have to post a coaching job if there is not a teaching position to be filled? How can you post it if there is no teaching position?

Brian left, he wanted out why would he come back after one year. Hes better off,and from the talk of budget cuts in the county I doubt whoever they hire would get to name his staff. Don't count on the lions club giving any coach a good reason to come, they help with some things but not like you would expect. It is a very attractive job but Marshall County has no money to just create jobs and that may turn lots of potential prospects away.

I didn't blame it on the receivers I blamed it on the coach who has no confidence in them, which would make any observer belive that he doesn't. Since when is "average" an insult? Maybe to the kid whose mommy and daddy has told them otherwise. They are still average sorry if it hurts your feelings but its not an insult. If they were above then they would be headed to college to play, heck Abrigo was a real threat and the best recevier we have had in a long time and he was above average but not great, and they still didn't throw the ball. The critical expert is back. Good win Rockets. As for the changes in the defense and those players getting burnt, well one week of practice isn't enough to prepare a new guy on defense. If they would have been there since July they may not have been burnt. Hopefully they will stick with the talent and bring it along. As for the receivers, who knew they could catch, heck we passed more in the Cornersville game in quarter one than all the rest combined. I never said they weren't capable, but the past actions of the coach signaled that they couldn't catch cause we didn't throw. By the way we didn't destry the bulldogs we made a couple key plays and won the game. Got to clean up the pass defense and keep improving day to day. The popcorn was good, and I think I was sitting beside the wizardofthesaddle in the stands. Maybe not I'm confused I think you were down with the fence coaches or on the video cameras lmao.

Rockets7 I'm right here giving my two cents when I want too. Cascade was down 14 to 17 and had a reciever 7 yards down field in front of the corners with the ball on his fingers fixing to score but he dropped it. Twice. Ray broke numerous tackles to give us the lead. Recievers did nothing, sorry made one great catch almost in the endzone. I was there, saw it all and it was a great win but it could have easily went the other way if Ray hadn't played so well, we still were lucky. We are good but we can be better.

I too would take a player who plays hard and with a lot of heart over one who does not. I never said that those players didn't play with heart are you saying those that I mentioned don't? All of the Rockets play hard (credit coaching staff), but saying that then you play those who are more talented over those who are not. They shouldn't have a uniform if they aren't gonna play with heart. Face it, you play to win. Ray could go both ways and so could Horvath. Sells and Lowery do. We are single A we are spreading ourselves to thin and in the end it may hurt. I hope not. So if all Rockets play hard and with heart, who do you put out there? Answer TALENT. Put #1(Leonard) in the shotgun (then he has time) with #10(Ray) in the backfield and have #12(Horvath) and #36(Allen) as the recievers so you can throw the ball. Then put #10(Ray) and #36(Allen) as your corners with #12 (Horvath) as free safety. You put your best athletes on the field if you want to win. Sorry but the other defenders are very average players and you aren't going to win with them defending the pass. The other recievers are also very average and thats why we run 40+ times. We are to easy to defend face it!

Here is the question that i have to ask the adult on the bus " why open the bus door?" Leave it shut and all the kids can do is run their mouths. Sounds like he was not thinking? He should have gotten his kids quiet and left. I am from Forrest and I tell you that I am extremely embarrassed of our students behavior and this should not be tolerated by the administration. All of this took away the excitement from one of the best runs by a Forrest team that lost their best player before the season started, overcame many injuries during the season, and found unlikely heros in freshmen that should have the players and coaches excited about the future. We did not play our best and got beat. McEwen is a very good team and whipped us and there were no excuses made on here by Forrest, they were the better team that night. The center for Forrest who got the techs is Forrest's only senior and he let his emotions get the best of him, but I know him and he is truly a great young man who made a few bad decisions. I know it is a bias remark but it is true, any team would love to have a young man like him on their team. As far as Cascade cheering against us, oh well that doesn't surprise anybody over here.

Because maybe without him they are a seventh place team. I don't know but he must be pretty good.

Cascade may own boys football and baseball against Forrest but not basketball sorry.

I will have to say the cascade coach keep the rockets of balance for the most part. We also missed some easy put backs early. Hall may have been a factor there. Fact is cascade gave us a good ole butt kickin. I hope the rockets wake up and get hungry again. They showed alot of character fighting back in the fourth. Refing may have been terrible but it was bad for the most part the whole game. You have to overcome those guys. There have been some wise cracks about the superstar as you say. Lets hold off on those comments. Shankle plyed hard and probably was favoring his hand on defense. You are right he did not have a good defensive game, however he still lead all scorers so I don't know how the schemes as you said slowed him down. Somebody for the rockets is going to have to step it up besides him and snapp. I like what casdae has and what we have. I most of all liked the fact that both teams could meet later.
