We get the win tonight but that might just be the two worst coached teams I've seen play against each other in years. Lucky for us our schedule doesn't get any tougher. Son is happy so I'm happy.

Can someone please post a pic of the new helmets??????? A guy at church Sunday was showing a cell phone pic and they are amazing! Same guy also said that some really positive things were brewing with the Lions club financially. He hinted at the possibility of an indoor facility but wouldn't confirm nor deny. My son came home from school today excited about rumors of some possible big time transfers from a neighboring school? Anybody else know anything?

Stopped by the field house over the break and was really impressed with what I saw and heard. The main goal right now for coach Moose seems to be getting the weight room, locker room, and coaches offices cleaned up. The last staff really let those areas get in bad shape and are somewhat outdated. I think the players will take pride in a clean workplace. I also heard through the grapevine that the way the old staff was treating the facilities caused the lion's club to quit funding the football program. Rumor has it that's about to change!

The returning players are so fired up and excited after week one of coach moos' offseason program. They say it's much more intense than the old program, They are all talking about how he's making it fun again. Enthusiasm, enthusiasm, enthusiasm!

Is it true that Moos' first move was to demote Jimmy Henson? If so that should be good for at least 3 more wins next year. Several of the players were saying at the basketball game last night that the new offseason program is going to be far more intense than the old program. That's exciting.

And nobody scolds daddy's little boy! Lol daddy's little team woulda been much better the past two years if moos would have been OC. I think Forrest did well with this hire. The key now will be can moos surround himself with good assistants? He can handle the offense but he would be wise to go out and hire a very experienced and very competent DC and turn him loose.

BigD I bet you are correct. Not fair to the new coach for Stacey to take up a teaching position that could be fillled by a quality assistant. I bet the current OC will get out as well and also take up a valuable teaching position. Administration should man up and do whats right to win!

Yes in Marshall County all open jobs must be posted. A friend of mine who coaches at another school in Marshall Co said that it usually comes to her school email. She checked it this morning and said no email at all concerning this position. I really feel like the guy who has been hired is an excellentvcoach but I just wish that the Forrest administration would do things properly. I guess that's why they haven't won a conference title in football since the midpoint of Murrey Holtons career. I think it's been 25 years.

Like I said if it was from within Forrest school it has to be posted! That is MCBOE policy look it up! I know several people who will want some answers from Mr. Dukes on Monday.

If the decision has been made then the administration needs to be reprimanded by the director of schools for not posting the position. State law says all jobs must be posted unless being filled from within by a lateral move. The only in-house lateral moves would be turcheddar or Stocstill. Even if they know who they want the community deserves to have it posted to see who might truly be interested.

Jimmy Henson? Bart Joyce? David Evans? Josh Robertson? Joe Moose? All are already on staff. What are the pros and cons of each one? From what I've been told the administration isn't wiling to let a coach come in and hire his own staff. They said that the main reason Stacey got out is because the staff he had this year was forced on him by the AD and principal.

I saw them play twice this year and talent wise they could match up with anyone in their league.
