  1. I did see her pitch the first part of the game against Hartselle. She was great. She can relax and do her job because she has a great team around her. Offense and defense. I heard she had 12K's against them in the 6th when she was injured. I seen on another boeard where Rhodes had 18K's against Hartselle in 11 innings, and Steen had 12K's in 5 innings. Way to go ladies. Looking good for Middle Tennessee........
  2. I believe she pitched the majority of the game that she came in for relief. From looking at the books at the finish of the last game and how she was still striking them out, she still could have pitched some more. You are correct about the offense. You have to score to win. Several teams seem to be having that problem. Maybe HL will come together and finish strong.
  3. You are correct in saying that Huntes Lane team did not have a good weekend. I do not believe it was due to Steen not being able to pitch multiple games. The press box books show 12 strikeout in 5 innings in against Hartselle. That was her third game of tourny. That only leaves 3 outs for the defense, which isn't much pressure on them, and they couldn't hang. HL defense needs improvement. Not alot of effert in outfield to catch any fly ball. A pitcher can not win by themselves and shouldn't be expected to. 12 strikeouts in 5 innings, I would say Steen did her job well.
  4. I believe that Hunters Lane put Beech out of the playday with a score of 2-1. They lost to Beech 1-0 in the Hendersonville Tournament on a dropped ball in the outfield in the first inning. They scored no other runs after that. I also believe that Amber Steen was pitching that weekend with an injured arm and was a long way from her best. From the way it looked those two weekends, either Beech is not a good as people say or Hunters Lane is better than they are given credit for. It is not the players fault what District they are in.
