  1. I am one of the moms from the Harriman team. The kid that came in as the relief was Andrew Knobloch, better know as "Bush" or "Cupcake". Andrew is a senior as are five of the other boys on the team. These seniors have been very close friends for many years. All of the other seniors have gotten a lot of playing time except for Cupcake. Cupcake has never seemed to mind though. He has always been there working just as hard and just as long as the other guys, but never complaining. This group of boys are very tight and Cupcake has just been happy being a part of such a special group of young men. Cupcake is kind of like our "Rudy". He is a very important part of the team in many ways. He keeps the boys up and he lets the Coach know who is ready to pitch and who just might not have it that day. Our boys had high hopes when we played our last game, but they are all realist also. They knew that we were about out of pitching - I mean we only have 13 players all together. They had asked Coach Adcox to please put Andrew in and let him finish out their last game as Seniors. Some of our fans may have not shown a lot of class, but let me tell you this group of boys has more class than you could possibly imagine. Please send a copy of the picture that you have to mom4alex@comcast.net and I will see than Andrew gets it. If you could send it ASAP, we might even be able to get it put in his senior shadowbox. Thank you so much, Donna Hall
  2. Sam Cummings - Harriman - Sam had several college scouts asking questions at Riverdale.
  3. Harriman and Sunbright was rained out today. Harriman travels to White County this weekend to play York, Sparta, Whitwell, and Upperman.
  4. bleachercoach - funny you would have been at the game recruiting because that is exactly what I was so upset about. My son dreams of playing baseball in college and we have been told that he has the talent. He has worked very hard to achieve this dream. On the weekends of his "teen years", while his friends were hanging out and staying over with each other, he was getting to bed early so that he could attend catching camps or play competitive ball somewhere. People get on here and bash kids so much that I thought my son had become a victim of such actions. All one has here on this earth is their reputation and I don't want my son to have his ruined or scarred. As you well know, if a college recruiter thought for a minute that my son was the type of kid that would just hall off a kick the crap out of another kid, they wouldn't give him a second look. I think that you could have made the same statements without posting his #. He has played varsity since he was a freshman and has always worn that # so most people did know who you were talking about. My son told my husband and myself immediately after the game, that he didn't play well, that he was frustrated, and that he almost lost his temper. All I'm asking is that you please think about what you are saying and how it might affect a young mans future.
  5. bleachercoach - let me tell you one thing right up front - you have never faced the wrath until you face the wrath of a mad momma. I can tell you who #33 for Harriman is because he belongs to me. He is Alex Hall, as most people that get on here and know anything about Harriman would know, and you knew that when you posted his number. My name is Donna Hall, Alex Hall's very very proud mother. Now, would you like to tell me who you are? And if it didn't matter who it was then why would you just have happened to pick out #12 (#33's best friend). I believe you know more than you let on. I hope that you are a youngster, because I get so sick and tired of adults using such a wonderful informative tool such as CoachT for "kid bashing". I don't guess you happened to see #33 being held for about 10 yards on the play that you were so quick to mention. I don't guess you seen alot of the other questionable calls that had our team so frustrated. These seniors have given it everything they have got for the last four years to try and bring some dignity back to Harriman football. This entire footballt team is playing their hearts out in spite of the way that they have been made fun of in the past. How dare you!!!! If you don't know my son and the kind of person that he is - shut your mouth! He is very good friends with most of the kids in this county and wouldn't intentionally hurt any of them. You seemed to miss the most important part - Alex got a little rattled and upset, but the integrity of that young man took over and he didn't kick anyone. My child may not be perfect, but he is a honest, loving, and caring young man. You have obviously never played football before, because it is apparent that you do not understand the intensity level on the playing field. Here's a little something to make you feel a little better: Alex just very recently lost both of his Papaws and he has dedicated this season to them and has said that he will play every game for them. I'm not making excuses for him but, he may be a little stressed and intense.
  6. Please ignore Biggamer and don't think his foolishness is approved of by the players or coaches. Biggamer does not play football for Harriman!!!!
  7. I REPEAT - BIGGAMER DOES NOT PLAY FOOTBALL FOR HARRIMAN!!!! PLEASE DON'T TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM THESE BOYS AND HOW HARD THEY ARE WORKING TO TURN THINGS AROUND.
  8. The game was not a jamboree. It was a regular season game. Get it right!!!!!
  9. My son's name is Alex Hall. He has been Harriman's catcher for the last 3 years. He said that he might be very interested in playing. You may not be interested in talking to Alex because he would only be available to play until July 6. He is going to a camp July 6-9 and then we are leaving for vacation until July 24. Football practice starts as soon as we return from vacation. If you are interested, our phone number is 882-5591.
  10. Who is coaching this team? Where are you playing? Do you have any sort of schedule worked out?
  11. How does someone get nominated for this?
  12. My son, Alex, has played summer ball with Daniel and he is a GREAT kid and a GREAT ballplayer. The kid definitely has a future. He is not only very skilled on the field but he is also very skilled in the classroom. He is very polite and very sweet. I hope that the world is his to conquer. Good luck Daniel.
  13. To reply to your remarks. How are you so sure that we knew about the time limit. I, for one, had no idea. Unfortunately we assumed that if there was a time limit that it would definitely be longer than 1 hour and 45 minutes for a high school game. As for finishing the Gibson County game in 6 innings - I disagree with ending any game before the 7th inning is complete unless there is a 10 run lead. We enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the tournament, but anyone that wants to end a ballgame in 5 innings really doesn't love the sport.

    Harriman

Please don't pay any attention to Biggamer - one things for sure - he does not play for Harriman. I believe that Harriman and Rockwood have the same record. They have both had some easy games and some tough games. The game on Tuesday should be another great one. When Harriman and Rockwood play it isn't who wins but who loses. I believe that both teams have the utmost respect for each other. I know that "off the field" several of them are friends. Rivalries like this one are what make high school sports great. The best team "that night" will be the one that comes away with a win. Good luck to both teams, but of course I am pulling for Harriman. Go Blue Devils!!!!!!!
