  1. 2shot4, you just mentioned some out of 9AAA; AAA includes 8AAA, 10AAA, 11AAA, etc., all also in the Mid-state. Someone from all the midstate AAA districts should come on and give all their lists. I knew that was only 9AAA but seeing that I am from 9AAA those were the only ones that I knew.
  2. I don't know all of them, I do know Ashley Camp and Tiffany Birtcil from LaVergne, Kassie King and Nettie from White House, Lots of girls from Mt. Juliet and Beech. There are more, I just can't remember them.
  3. I have wondered myself that same question. I have known of people that have gotten zoning exemptions just so that they don't have to play softball at Smyrna. It seems to me that someone would get fed up with it and try to improve it, but I haven't seen a change. I don't know why they don't have a fastpitch league, either. They can't expect their kids to play slowpitch in the summer and fall and then jump right into fastpitch for the spring. It makes no sense.
  4. I heard from someone that there were only a few teams in the tournament due to missing school. When you think about it, though, it is an accomplishment in itself just to be invited to that tournament. Way to go, girls! I know that Ashley Singleton and Laura Freeman played for them this year.
  5. How many actual spots do you have open? From the commitments you have mentioned, it seems that you have a lot of players already.
  6. We play with the Yellow ball, I prefer it to the white ball, I don't really know why.
  7. I have heard from somewhere a while back that just like it is alright for a female athlete to compete in football, that a male can participate in volleyball. If you think about it, it makes sense.
  8. Tiffany Birtcil. I play for the Tennessee Elite and I used to play ball with Ashley McCool.
  9. Ok, I was just wondering because I looked at it the other day and I thought to myself "I KNOW that there are more girls than that."
  10. I'm from LaVergne....I'm tall... [Edited by 2Shooter4 on 8-6-02 5:56P]

    Prospects?

How come there are only 3 prospects for the upcoming class? Does the list usually build as the season starts up?
  12. Thats awesome! They had a good group of girls. I'm happy for them. Ashley McCool ROCKS!
  13. The Brentwood Blues Placed 7th at the ASA Nationals?! WAY TO GO! Thats awesome! Who all played with them this year?
  14. How about all around the midstate? How is everyone looking?
  15. The Firebirds have a very good organization
  16. Brittney Sinyard was Beech's catcher. She played with me this summer and I believe that she has committed to Vol State.
  17. You sound like you might go to my school!! haha.
  18. I agree. Although, if you are stuck in a bad situation in high school, it can be bad for an athlete. Don't get me wrong, the games do help with experience and in general make you a better player, but if you don't have the right coaching, it can be damaging. Players will in fact take one step forward and two steps back in the spring, forcing them to get back to their full potential over the summer.
  19. If you don't mind me asking, what team folded?
  20. I play with her in the summer and I am pretty sure that's where it is.
  21. The Pitcher is Trish White, and the catcher is Marie Pickler. Both definitely deserve some recognition.
  22. Isn't Germantown near Memphis?
  23. When are these being released?
  24. Although I have played Smyrna, and can testify that they haven't been a strong team in the past, I still have to repute the fact that you are dejecting someone and their skills. Praise people all you want. This isn't about negativity.
  25. http://www.tssaa.org/2001Champions/StateBaseball/home.htm It's the all-tournament team, not the all state team, sorry. [Edited by 2Shooter4 on 5/25/02 12:10P]
