  1. i know, i guess we proved them wrong....
  2. HEY, Oakland has already started spring practice. they started on tuesday. they look pretty good to me. but, i am kinda biased.and wild, the tssaa.org website does say that mt juliet is leavin, and wilson central and seigle are commin up.
  3. F.Y.I wild, on the tssaa.org website it says that they still are. where did u get ur info. i would like to see it(not being a smartass or anything, i really would like to see it)
  4. RIVERDALE, i know what u mean. it just seems like that is what cost us the game. although, ur also right in saying that the whole game was critical. we just didnt do it in the critical moments(entire game). BHSOL, I know what u mean. I am gonna miss friday nights next year, espically if i dont go play football in college(still havent decided). but i dont miss practice...lol, naw, i guess i do. practice was fun. it was the times i will prolly remember the most, that and camps. cuz thats when i was with my o-line boys. just us fat guys. lol. i am gonna miss alot of things about football, but mostly the friends. its not gonna be the same seeing them around town, as it would be out on the practice field,ya know [Edited by olineathlete on 3-27-03 9:42P]
  5. HEY region4fan, i know it wasnt entirely my fault. we did have alot of missed opportunities. but, if i hadnt jumped, we never would have lost. it didnt help any.but that was a really depressing game, we should have won it....anyway, yea, today was the 2nd day of practice, 1st day in full pads. it was really weird, because i went and watched. i have never watched a practice before. i have always been involved. to me, they look alot smaller this year. aside from smitty, yopp, demers, and a few other biggun's, they dont really have size. it seems like we were big last year, but i dont know now that i see how little they are. or maybe its jst me, i dont know.anyway, thats what i ahve to say.
  6. Shady, good to hear u are gonna play next year, even if it is for the blaze. lol, j/k. anyway, bhsol, i know how u feel about jumping offsides. But mine cost us the game. It was the Linclon county game, first play of overtime. We were running a toss sweep to my side, and i was supposed to pull. I got up to the line, they lined up in a defense where i had to checked zone. I got all ancy, and jumped. it was on one, and i went on first sound. Needless to say, that cost us the game. we got a penalty. 2 plays later, we caught a pass on the 1 yard line. if not for that penalty, we woiuld hve won.
  7. I am glad he did good. i hope he does well up there. I played against him when they won state, and he is a good back.
  8. Did dave play qb this year? at all? or was he just an all purpose player. I dont know if i ever saw him line up under center, but thats just me. i didnt pay too much attention to their offense while watching film. My opinion, though, is to put him as one of the running backs, or WR.
  9. Yea, Dave thomas is pretty good. i forgot about him. I will say this however, i dont like him. I think he is cocky. Dont get me wrong, being confident is good, but he is a lil too confident to the point where i would call him cocky.
  10. Well, i hate to break it to you, but he is staying. I dont know what he did. He may have moved, me may have done something to get around it. I dunno, but he is stayin.. BHS....we played mustangs together.. back when i was a QB.. lol ..i am pretty sure what ur name is...didnt u play left guard this past year? i mean, i know ur name, and it is soo familiar, but i cant place ur face with it.
  11. I saw this post earlier, but didnt really think anything about it. the one i am talkin aout is the one that says derente frazier is the best runningback riverdale had. I have to disagree. He was ok for a sophmore, had alright speed, but coulndnt take a hit for crap. in our first game against them, maurce crawford hit him once by the sidelines, and he didnt even get up. he rolled of the field. i think that tre dalton is beter than him. i think thats his name. but that spike dude, while not being as good as everybody said, is pretty good too.
  12. Justin Echols is going to be staying at oakland. and, unlike at other schools, the coaches havent done anything to get him there. he has gotten all the waivers and such on his own. Oakland coaches dont get exemptions for their players, thats anoter rutherford co. school. but thats another story. any region4....my schoolin for next year.....i am trying to go to rhodes. i have been accepted, but the whole $29,000 a year...thats a litte problem. so i will prolly just stay here at mtsu and try and walk on next year.
  13. It is the last week in june, and first week in july
  14. Yea, His name is AJ Alexander. I played little league with him. He is supposedly stron as an ox. I know when i played with him he was good. I think he will be a good player at fullback for oakland.
  15. Well, Oaklands starts on Tuesday,b/c we are out of school on Monday. I know they have no scheduled scrimmages. if anybody knows of any other teams, maybe yall could contact oakland and see if they want to scrimmage.
  16. So, has alcoa made a decision?
  17. Hey, first of all gaypride, bulldogpride, what ever ur name is, and that tommy fella. You can not sit back and say that just because my freshman team at oakland went 0-9 didnt mean we didnt have a winning tradition. You do realize that the freshman coaches arent varsity coaches. AND, if u didnt know it, the only team we beat that year was smyrna in a scrimmage right before the season. So, put that in ur pipe and smoke it. I know that we were in 8th grade whe Ohs won state, but olbhs was right. We did have a couple upperclassmen go.But a winning tradition was instilled in the players at both RHS and OHS, as well as at central. As of now, the results of blackman are OHS and RHS products. this upcomming year will be the first year that the graduating class has been at BHS all 4 years. If yall go to state and win, great, you did it with yalls own people. If you go 0-10, oh well.
  18. Hey region4fan...long time since i have seen u on here. Anyway, to respond to your question about whether or not any ex-players were over seas.... Do you remember Roland Ogletree? Played for oakland in 98 and in 99. Anyway, he went to UT-Martin, and i believe quit, or got dismissed from the team. Not real sure, But i know he isnt there anymore.I do know this though... When he quit, he joined the Marines. I don't know if he is oversea's, but my guess would be that he is. He is the only player i know of that went into the service. As for earlier players or other teams, no clue
  19. Is anybody else starting spring practice next week, or the week after? I know that oakland is, and that they dont have a scrimmage b/c they couldnt find anybody who was doing it the same time as them.
  20. i posted this on the plus boards, but i got no response. so maybe here Just a question that i have been wondering about since i heard about it. Why is rashard lee leaving mtsu early? Did somebody tell him that he would be drafted high? will he even be drafted? I know that this years draft is supposed to be in short supply of running backs, but, is he really good enough to leave mtsu after his jr.year? P.s. does anybody know what round he was projected to go in. how bout dewone hicks
  21. Yea, thats what i thought. it seems to me though, the only logical thing for a coach to do would be not to go there. unless u only have 5 or less years of experience...otherwise it just seems like a waste.
  22. Hey, just question...what does it mean that alcoa wont let him bring his years with him?
  23. WELL, ITS THE 14TH, ANY NEWS YET ON THE HEAD COACHING POSITION?....OH, AND WHERE IS ALCOA...LOL
  24. Hey fhste, where are you goin to college? are u plain ball?
