Nether team has got a decent number of returning starters. I am pulling for the upset go basin. I don't think it will be a cleanly played game, many errors and lots of weak ground balls, along with bad pitching and many strikeouts.

Ok...well of course that is your opinion and u are entitled to it but lets talk about facts...yes we did lose 6 seniors...4 of which should of started for us last year. To tell u the truth i only remember one player from Seq. the pitcher the only good player that they had. 2nd our 3rd baseman and our lead off hitter last year were 2 different people. Next, We are returning 2 of the top 4 hitters (one of which took your "best pitcher" to the 411 highway) from last year to this years team and our other two players that were seniors should not of even of played for our team last year they should of joined some little league somewhere. We had people on the bench that could of pitched a better game up there than our pitcher did last year and he was 1 hit and a error away from a PERFECT Game....aganist yall Seq. Unless you guys have gotten a lot lot lot lot lot better and have recieved a few transfers to your school u will run at the bottom of the pot again. but that is just the facts. 1. ??? 2. ??? 3. ??? 4. ??? 5. ??? 6. ??? 7. The only reason you probably bat 750 is cause you have probably just batted 4 times and hit 3 of those times! Good luck when you get ome real playing time!

I did do my talking on the field in a ten inning three hitter yesterday against walker valley. I struck our fifteen. FIFTEEN. Yeah, they did beat us in the tenth with a home run but that was just because I missed with a fastball inside. I believe I made the statement I wanted to.

I didn't say anything to make me sound cocky. Granted walker valley might beat polk and central twice and win the district. That still doesn't mean that the rest of the district doesn't have good pitching. Some pitchers just have bad nights. I was not trying to be a jerk I just wanted people to get past walker valley.

I didn't say that none of them could be the number for any team in the district. I said that you couldn't just pick any of the top four pitchers for walker and them be the number one. Their are a couple that could be though. What happened when walker valley only beat sweetwater 3 to 1. Who pitched for sweetwater then. Yall only scored seven against meigs one game who pitched then. You still haven't played central or polk. Who is the ballergal? Just wondering.

I believe central is a really good baseball team. I believe that with more depth in their pitching they could be state champs. They are good fundamental hitters, and don't give the pitcher anything. I personally have pitched against them. I believe that they have a good outfield that goes and gets the ball like they need to. Tom Prosser is a great outfielder and has a really good bat. He batted 3 for 4 against me. I actually thnk he went 2 for 4 because one was an error on our right fielder. But it was one of the two. They have Hearn now pitching who is pretty good though and should be a district contender for top honors. Who are you 1260? Signing off

Ill agree with you in that Walker valley has good pitchers, but I don't believe that any of the four could be the number one for any other teams in our district. They could for Tellico and Sequoyah. Central has Hearn that is a pretty good pitcher. Polk has Couch and Ellis. Sweetwater has Jedi Phillips. Meigs has Nathan Brown and Dave Mason. So you might watn to think before you speak next time. 5AA has some talented pitching and it should be an interesting outcome to the district. We will see how good Walker Valley's pitchers are in a couple of days.

I forgot about Meigs sorry about that. Nathan Brown is a pretty decent pitcher. I haven't seen Dave Mason pitch yet but I know he had a cannon from catcher last year.

Who do u guys think are the best pitchers in 5AA. If you don't know the teams they are Mcminn Central, Walker Valley, Polk County, Sequoyah, Sweetwater, and I am leaving Tellico out.

We play today if it doesn't rain. If it does then we are playing thursday in the McMinn Invitational Tournament on Thursday. It is a close race for first in the district. If we sweep walker and central does too then central is first we are secind and walker is third, but if we split then there is no telling. Go Polk County.

Polk county has turned some heads this year. They beat Mcminn Central, Sequoyah, and Swept Meigs.

Polk County started spring ball yesterday.

I'm from Polk County and even I think its funny that you think people should watch out for the team. They aren't that good.

Bernard Jones would have to be the greatest ever at Polk County. Was highly recruited by several SEC schools in the late 70's early 80's. He blew out his knee his the spring before his senior year and that ruined his chacnce to go on to the next level. Also Josh Couch would have to rank up their as one of the greates although he has yet to sign with any college and it looks like he isn't going to.

I don't play ball. I'm actually out of school and going to UGA. I think that Polk will be just as good this up coming season as next. They do lose Couch but they have a good group that is coming up that are actually more talented than the 13 seniors that left. If the team can develop a work ethic comparable to the last two teams Polk had I can actually see them making it pretty far into the playoffs, and in 2A you never know what might happen they might just be the surprise team of the year. By the way Easton 2 what school do ya go to.
