  1. Sorry Robjim, I was just having a little fun and obviously it got out of control. I guess a smart mouth tends to ###### people off, my bad. Anyways, back to 6-5A. The Bruins are and will be on top until somebody knocks them off, but I think that both Franklin and Dickson Co. have better chances this year. Brentwood is still very strong, but has also lost some key players from last year including Everson, Steckel, and Jones to name a few. The problem Franklin has is that it's all mental with Brentwood. As long as Brentwood maintains that mental edge Franklin will have a tough time beating them, but with the talent they have this year they will have a very good shot at turning things around. I would say the region goes to Brentwood or Franklin, but there's also an outside chance that Dickson Co. or Centennial could sneak into the picture.
  2. I've been thinking about how to respond to you Wildcatfan. I thought of proving my point of Franklin's superiority through stats, but I have a life. I could continue to rag on BGA people and their snobbishness, but you think that's for uneducated people with no argument. I could possibly beat you up, but that also requires effort. So I've decided that we're better for two reasons. 1- We dont pay $10k a year for an education only to have half the people still end up at UT and 2- our mascot would kill your mascot. So there, I win, you lose, end of story. And Rebel27, give me a call before I have to go up in July, we need to hang out some.
  3. Yeah, that passing scrimmage was a beatdown, but I'll tell you what the BGA fans will tell you. They'll just say that they rely on the running game. Well kids, that might work in D2-AA ball but the big boys of D2-AAA, 4A, and 5A ball would eat that up. I'll tell you what though, I'm so sick and tired of BGA people thinking they are so much better than everybody else. All ya'll do is walk around with your noses in the air and your thumbs up your @$$'s. Get a life!
  4. In the huddle- 1,2,3, Franktown!! After beating Centennial every year- Franktown, what?!?! After losing to Brentwood- $#%@ you!!
  5. I'm just bringing this back up to the top since noone has replied. Any info at all would be appreciated.
  6. What is this team....travel? and whos the coach and what age group is it!?!?
  7. I played for Franklin last year and by far the toughest guy I had to bash heads with was ya'll defensive end- #3. I saw that he was a senior last year so naturally I'm expecting he's gonna play college ball. With that much talent and athletic ablitiy I sincerely hope he is, but it would be nice if anyone can shed any light on what he will be doing next year.

    4-5A

It is consistently the best region in 5A. Last year the best was arguably region 6, but 4 was obviously still in it with a state runner-up in Riverdale and tough teams in Blackman and Oakland. The real question is how strong will it be in two years with Siegal opening up. Are some of the M'Boro teams gonna have to go 4A or is it just gonna lower their numbers down to average 5A size? I have no clue, but I would guess that region 4 will continue to be successful this year. We'll see in a couple of years.
  9. After goin' to Hooters the night before. "G" was especially tired!
  10. Used to be Franklin. Fun times and some of the best experiences of high school football. The 95 degree temp right by the river is always nice.
  11. Derek is his name and he is one incredible athlete. The frosh team only lost one game last year and he was a huge reason behind that. There's just two problems with this transfer thing. One, Derek will not pass this year. In fact, he's not even close. That's why he's not practicing with the team and that's also why he wants to go to Page. He's under the mistaken belief that the coaches will find a way to let him play if he changes schools. The second problem with Derek is his attitude. I'm not gonna rag on the kid and I'm not gonna get into too much detail, but he has no work ethic and has a major problem with authority. He's one of the best athletes Franklin has had in quite sometime and maybe a change of scenery would be good for him, but Page definitely has their work cut out for them. I just wish Derek the best in whatever he does.
  12. If you're talking about Franklin High then you have some wrong facts. We didn't miss any days of spring ball last year.

    Page High

He can say that 'cause they are. Page has a lot of catching up to do and they're doing the best they can. They have a GREAT weightlifting coach that is doing wonders with them. Watch how much they improve in the next couple of years.
  14. As of now, the QB getting the most snaps and almost definitely the starting job is Matt Solima. He was Reffegee's backup last year and started the Kenwood game. He has the tools to be a great pocket passer he just needs some experience. He has a better arm than Reff just not as much field savvy yet. He's fairly mobile and will be hard to bring down with his size. Like I said, experience will tell everything though.
  15. Cause Franklin's only losses came to Brentwood. How is Germantown any different from Franklin? Their only loss came to Brentwood. And as for MBA, they had a great team and they peaked at the end. So yes, because they were the state champions in a strong division you would have to put them ahead of any team that wasn't a state champion. Screw the whole public/private thing, DIIAAA is a strong division and a state champ from there should get props. All I'm gonna say though is don't rag on the Rebels from Franklin unless you actually saw them play. If you didn't, you really can't say much. Which is why I can't say anything about MBA except to congratulate them for a state championship.
